I don’t think Buffalo kept him active but held him off the field in order to protect a potential 7th round pick they might receive in trade.
Great, so that means we're trading a Ferrari pick for a Yugo 45 pick...

He is like the studio host of Seven Mate’s NFL coverage … he has an hour long show after they show their games on Monday mornings with former Aussie punter Ben Graham ..He is an absolute flog who is turning into the Aussie version of Nick Wright in respect of the Bills… all year he is saying that they are over rated, inconsistent and no chance at the Championship…
Make of that what you will ..
Not too sure our American Bills brothers would be familiar with the term.

Anyone from Australia know what this tweet means?.This guy apparently is from 7mate Sport:
Is he a Bills fan? Or are the Bills calling him??
Not sure.
Don't even know if he's a Bills fan either.

I expect things to get worse before they get better.

This is the first year since his rookie year where he seems to be baffled by the defense’s presnap adjustments and motions, and where he seems to just drift directly into pressure multiple times per game.
HE IS NOT PUTTING IN THE WORK
Is this the first year he didn't spend time in the summer with Jordan Palmer?
Is it possible that he thought "my training is complete, I can now spend my entire summer playing golf" - because that's what it looks like.

Harty is on, what, 4m per year? Averaging around 15 snaps a game. Not good enough.
Sherfield was getting rave reviews in training camp. What happened?
Shakir appears to be on an upward trajectory and, from a cap POV, runs on the smell of an oily rag. He can hold his head up high.

That's not how you spell 'DeAndre Hopkins'!

Blue pants eh?
Anything would be an upgrade over the white and brown pants worn against the Pats.

Can the offence really get worse though?
Its been brutal the last 3 weeks minus a couple good 4th quarters
It can if Knox isn't there as Spencer Brown's insurance policy and Dorsey continues to dial up vanilla schemes.

My confidence in this team is understandably waning.
I honestly think it will get worse before it gets better with Knox ruled out.
Early score prediction:
Bills 17
Bucs 21

I understand the Prisoner of the Moment stuff to a degree, because Knox has had a few key drops lately.
However...any kind of notion that this somehow makes the Bills offense better seems ridiculous to me.
Drops or not, Dawson Knox is a good player for the Bills. A good all-around tight end, and likely the Bills' best blocking tight end by a significant margin.
Losing him hurts in the run game, it hurts personnel multiplicity, and it hurts depth.
This does NOT make the Bills offense better, and it seems foolish to suggest that it somehow does.I agree, but I'd say most of us are thinking it will improve the team purely because a healthy player will be an improvement over an unhealthy one.
A healthy Knox is a weapon. I just think we haven't seen it as much as we'd like because (a) he hasn't been healthy and (b) his game has been compromised to assist with the protection of Spencer Brown.
Hope he gets well soon, we really need him.

In the post-game interview he said he was feeling pretty good.
Only problem with that is that the messaging does not even go close to matching the eye test.

I'm just not seeing where a Superbowl appearance is coming from in the next 2 years without a major overhaul in all key areas - ie - the coaching staff, offense and defense.
It's also 50/50 on whether the Bills make playoffs this year.
Depressing to say the least.

This one's over.
To put up these performances two-weeks running is a disgrace
-
Self inflicted wounds, bad game by all 3 phases
-
Bills 28
Pats 9
3 passing TDs and a rush TD to Cook as Josh never gets out of 3rd gear and the Pats can only manage 3 FG.
Bills are below their best but get the dub without much stress.

And we're 33 million over the cap going into next year
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/2024/
We have a ton of guys who will be FA's next year that will need to be re-signed or replaced. Starters and key depth players. Guys like Leonard Floyd, Micah Hyde, Daquan Jones, Gabe Davis, AJ Epenesa, and others.
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/buffalo-bills/
Not only can we not afford the hit this year and certainly not next year, we need the picks it would take to get him to replace players we won't be able to afford to keep. Most of our D-Line (including all of our DT's not named Ed Oliver) and our Safeties (which may need an overhaul anyways).
This is why D-Hop wasn't pursued anywhere near as heavily as you wanted. And he didn't cost anywhere near Adams or cost any Draft Picks. A major part of why we're sticking with Ty Johnson over Leonard Fournette (a clear upgrade). We don't even have a few million right now.
Davante Adams is a total pipe dream.
And the reason it's a pipedream is because we have missed on so many day two picks on cheap contracts. Our salary cap is bloated as a result.
Beane needs to nail his day two picks next year (and obviously his first)

It would have been Bills 47 Pats 17 in 2021 on CBS.
What Josh Allen did that night was commit multiple counts of sexual assault in a sporting arena.
I turn it on when I'm running low on Viagra.

Wake me up when someone can define # 2 WR.
A WR2 is a WR who is nominally superior to your WR3, but inferior to your WR1.
Consider this your TBD caffeine hit for the day.

I'm not seeing the consistency required.
In boxing terms, we can put a beat down on Tyson, but then get beaten down by grandma's slipper.
The injuries are the cherry on the shite cake.
Wild card (and Dorsey) exit for mine.

There was a young Pat from Boston
Who took out his balls to wash 'em
His wife said "now Mac,
Please put them back,
Or just like the Bills, I'll squash 'em"

Yeah, it was brilliant of him to call his final one at the start of the Bucs drive - as opposed to keeping it up your sleeve if they get near or over the 50 - which they did.
Puke.
