  1. I was going to do a poll but then realized I had no clue how to do a poll so here is the question:

How would you feel if the Bills traded the two 2nd round picks and the third rounder (or some other combination of picks) for a (projected) low to mid/low 1st rounder next year?

The cap situation will be a lot better next year and with 2 first round picks and an aggressive free agency that could be the teams "all in" year. Bean went out of his way to say he was already getting calls and I doubt he traded out of the first round twice without the owner in on it so this probably has Pegula's blessing and jobs are safe.

If Bills management reasoned they didn't have the firepower (cap space and picks) to substantially upgrade the team this year, then they might have also rationalized why not start planting the seeds for next year.

  2. I will be so happy when the draft is over so everyone can stop the 3 month speculation on who we will pick and the board can move on to the important business of  everyone speculating on how those draft picks will do in 5 months 🤣

  3. I dont normally post on the off season because:

    1. Mock drafts are stupid. Unless there is an obvious 1 or 2 at QB none of them are ever right.

    2. The Bills rarely (never?) pick the fan consensus in the draft. Seriously, the most often heard sound at the NFL draft is groans and boos.

I dont think this one will be really different. From what little I have seen of our new offensive coordinators old body of work He is more of a "spread the ball around", , kind of guy then a, "Number 1 receiver force them the ball!" kind of guy.

    Quote

    LSU

Brady, who had a key role in that offense with the title "pass game coordinator/wide receivers coach," wanted to spread defenses out with three-plus receivers, use motion every third drop back on average and take to the air early and often.

With Burrow, Chase and Co. at LSU, the Tigers utilized motion on 34.2% of their dropbacks, the 29th-highest rate in college football (out of around 130 teams).

    Carolina Panthers

He sent out "11" or "10" personnel on 69.6% of the team's dropbacks that season, which ranked 19th in football.

Brady deployed motion more frequently in Carolina in 2020 than at LSU the year before -- a sizable 46.5% of the club's drop backs

In 2020, the Panthers ranked 5th in the NFL in pass success rate to RBs

    Buffalo before Brady

2023: Buffalo was in the bottom third of motion rate and has been one of the heaviest "12" personnel -- one back, two tight ends -- clubs in football.

The offense Brady was play calling for last year was not his offense. I think the Bills will look entirely different this year and the running backs will be a much bigger part of that as well as the spread.

I could be wrong because the draft is nothing but speculation but it wouldn't shock me if we dont pick a Wide receiver with our first pick if the guy(s) they want are gone.

If the guy they want is gone I think they go BPA.

  4. Ya tweets....

NBC sports and SI say he wants to be a cardinal.

Hmmm who to believe? Random guy on Twitter, or NBC sports, Sports illustrated and every other news outlet......

This is such a hard decision.🤔

  5.  I wonder how many times we are going to see this now.

This made me think, we are going to see a lot more lowering of the head and shoulders when the big guy realizes the little guy has no chance of straight up taking him down anymore.

Smaller guys have been tackling bigger guys since forever, they will manage

Yes they have, using leverage and their own body weight to overcome the size disparity. Which is exactly what "hip drop tackle" is.

There is a reason at the junior levels of football it is played by kids of equal weight. No one can just grab someone 100 pounds heavier then them that is traveling at 17 or 18 MPH and bring them to the ground. If you cant use balance or your own weight to bring him down your just going to get steamrolled.

This is real life not a video game or a superhero movie.

    Stay low and on balance

    Aim inside hip

Drive through w shoulder pad, wrap and maintain active feet

all the "active feet" in the world are not going to help you when the other guy is going full speed and outweighs you by 70 or 80 pounds. Your dreaming.

People want a young, highly respected offensive mind with a big time resume and got one.

Whiners gunna whine, feed them to the pit.

I cannot wait to see what Brady does with an offense that HE installs and runs concepts he develops.

I am looking forward to seeing the team use real screen passes again.

Moving on from the coach is not irrational.  I thought the people who said to move on from McD after 13 seconds were irrational, it turns out they were right.

He did a great job building us up and ending the drought.  But he clearly can't play with the big dogs.  Defense is his specialty and the D was an embarrassment tonight by every metric.  Yes we had injuries.  More than most.

You move on from your coach when you have a team that has superstars or stars that are under achieving. We dont have a team of stars. We have a bunch of people no one else has ever heard of except for us, the ones that are stars include:

    Tre - injured not playing.

Von Miller - a shadow of his former self.

Diggs - lost his focus and seems disinterested

Milano - out for the season

and of course Josh Allen and a rookie TE that will probably be a star in the future.

No one else besides us can name anyone else on our roster.

This game was close enough that 1 or 2 players (Milano?)  or 1 or 2 plays (dropped passes? poor decisions?) could have changed the outcome. This irrational FIRE EVERYONE! BLOW IT UP!  stuff is just nonsense.  The, "we cant criticize Josh Allen! He is God" when he makes a poor decision thing is dumb as well.

There are 32 teams in the NFL, 28 didn't make it as a far as us.

So ya, I stand by what I said, he had a great game but that one throw was a bad decision. Its not the end of the world.

In terms of why we loss why would Josh even come up?  As usual the team road on his shoulders.  Our defense was high school level tonight.  It was beyond pitiful.  Big drops by receivers who often could not get open.  Special teams playing hurt....?  Why?  We have a coach who we should be thankful got us to contender status but who will never win a super bowl.  Another year with him is a total waste.

I didn't say he lost us the game. read again. I said he played a great game But he shouldn't have thrown the pass to the end zone.

Every-time the Bills lose the board is full of the mentally ill calling for the firing of all the coaches and staff. The coaches didn't drop a bomb that hit them in the hands, Diggs did, The coaches didn't drop a sure touchdown, Cook did. The coaches didn't cripple Milano or Tre.  The coaches didn't beat up the 5 million people we have that didn't play today because of injury.

The team came into this game with the D being the walking wounded. We had a great run to steal the division from the fins but sooner or later all the injuries were going to catch up to us. KC only punted once the entire game. You dont win games when you cant stop the other team, but can you really blame the D when we had second and third stringers starting?

At any rate I will be taking my umbrella with me tomorrow. From all the irrational stuff I am reading on this board I figure some of these people will be jumping out of windows.

If Bass makes the kick, you're giving Mahomes the balls with 1:45 seconds and pretending that you're going to stop him when you've done so once all game. We lost on 3rd down, not 4th.

Hit the nail on the head. All the threads will be filled with the usual FIRE EVERYONE! Rabal rabal rabal rabal nonsense but the fact is Josh played a great game but he should have thrown the ball to one of the two open underneath guys for the first down. It was a poor decision on his part to swing for the fences.

This is one of the best catches I've ever seen in my life. Bad pass, lucky bounce, yes. To stay composed, track that bouncing ball over your shoulder, and keep your feet in is one of the most amazing things I've seen. I don't know how he had the awareness to do this. Wow!

What! you mean they didn't draw it up like that?????🤣🤣

Take all that absurd math talk the last 3 weeks and wipe your tails with it.  Reality on the ground never made it that high.

Ya all that odds stuff is as pointless as the Mock Draft stuff. Its never right yet ever year people spend tons of time talking about it and then zero time talking about it when they are wrong
