  1. My friend was at Phins practice as a media member, said it was not good at all. Said it immediately on the surface looks the same as when somebody tears an ACL in their knee, where the player looks like he knows its bad. The silence throughout the facility at that moment was incredible, everybody seems like they think the same thing: It's bad.

  2. Some worthy off-season discussion:

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of working on a PSA for an organization called the Gridiron Cannabis Foundation. We interviewed eight former NFL players, all of whom advocate for (and unapologetically use) medical marijuana, including Eben Britton, Chris Kluwe, Kyle Turley, Mark Restelli, Boo Williams, Ricky Williams, and Jim McMahon.

Jim McMahon is an especially vocal advocate. He suffers from significant nerve damage (he found out later in life that he had played for a period of time with a broken neck!). At one point, while we were taping him in front of a teleprompter, his legs began shaking so badly, he almost fell over.

I talked at length with Eben Britton about Seantrel Henderson's situation. In fact, there is a growing body of evidence that shows that cannabis is one of the most effective treatments for many of the symptoms of Crohn's disease, with few side effects. Henderson is, perhaps, one of the best examples of the need for cannabis reform.

The biggest point these guys had to make is that many players are compelled to use medications such as opioids, and others, many of which have lasting side effects such as liver, and kidney damage. Eben Britton relayed a story to me of a player he knows, who was faced with a choice between a literal handful of daily pills, versus marijuana use-- and for him there was no contest.

It seems to me that the NFL could be out in front of this issue, and helping to inspire a national discussion that could help a lot of people. Instead, they are handing people suffering from disease, like Seantrel Henderson, ten game suspensions, and significant fines, and loss of income.

    Thoughts?

This always will be a discussion, and it will never be allowed. Very simple reason, big pharm. If you don't know by now, they pay an awfully a lot of money to be provider for NFL drugs such as painkillers. Would be a huge loss of revenue for the NFL, therefore, it would never happen. My opinion: Having been friends with NFL players, everybody smokes anyway. You have to get caught about 10+ times with failed tests before you are even under any trouble with the NFL. However, if you publicly support it then you're taking the big pharm dollars away which is a bigger source of income than one thinks. As more former players are coming out about pain killer abuse, the better chance the NFL can be progressive towards the use of Medical Marijuana.

  3. We know which way the defense goes. However it looks like Beane and McDermotts offensive philosophy couldn't be more different. Beane is an offense guy, played Quarterback in college and scouted QB and offensive skill positions his entire career until being assistant GM.

You look at Carolinas offense and ours as it sits, quite different. If you look at the players Carolina has on offense. They like them BIG (Benjamin, Funchess, Olsen). They also like to let Cam sit back and sling it, we don't know if Taylor is capable of that.

Dennison likes a lot of PA, boots, screens. With short yardage throws, probably occasionally taking a deep shot. I think we should stay away from Beane, If we want to go the current way on Offense.

    This analysis is completely wrong.

  4. Well, then those scouts that loved TT should watch some NFL games where teams have QBs that throw with timing and anticipation and use the full field.

I appreciate Taylor's effort and that he is the best QB that the Bills have had in a long while, but that doesn't mean that he is even in the top 1/2 of the league as a passer. MAYBE he can improve his passing - if so then you have something, but if this report is accurate, Whaley was not wrong in his lack of belief in Taylor.

Trolling Tyrod is getting old, just support the guy because he WILL be the QB this year. Or complain until 2018. Either one.

  5. Josh Allen from Wyoming is going to be a first round pick next season. And he's only played one year of college football (redshirt sophomore). He's like 6'5", is strong, can run and can throw a football across his body further than most QB's can throw a football period.

He is THE guy imo. Everybody else racing for 2nd including Sammy Darnold. Allen is the real deal I've done hours of tape on him. Known for being a leader on the field as well.

  6. Shaw made a great point a couple pages back and no one bothered to respond back. Tyrod took less money to come to Buffalo in the first place. It is entirely reasonable to believe he did the same thing again, to bet on himself to show the league that he deserves more. It is still true that Tyrod wins the restructure if he improves this year.

I truly believe this as well, because he understands the importance of winning. With winning, he will obtain greater value in future endeavors than accepting a contract that limits the teams ability to win and succeed. Nobody will be working harder towards that goal this year then Tyrod Taylor, first one in and last one out.

  7. Who knows? Nobody does. Right

Name an instance when a 8? year professional athlete whom is yet to make any serious money at his craft left MILLIONS on the table so he could remain with a perennial loser?

Informed speculation is always more worthy of a discussion than just throwing out misleading comparisons.

He wants to win, and knows how close we are to doing so. No idea what story you're trying to make up here? Reaching like Jordan in Space Jam, terrible point.

  8. If he wants to win and he is such a desired commodityaround the leauge, why didn't he take he take his pro bowl participate ribbons to Denver or Houston?

Who knows, nobody does. EVERY POST IS SPECULATION, but on these message boards users claim them as facts. Nobody knows anything in regards to Tyrod Taylor, other than he is FORSURE going to be the 2017 Buffalo Bills starting QB. Stop reading into stuff and trying to develop a gameplan like you people are GM's. Watch the draft, watch the training camp, and watch the Bills games. Why are you trying to question every last thing about everything?

The only fact we know, is Tyrod Taylor is a 2 time pro bowl QB and will be starting for the Bills this year. Lets discuss draft options instead of making up arguments that favor YOUR individual position. I try to sit back and follow the Bills but these posts but most users are undoubtedly biased and have a clear mission to bash Tyrod in every wy possible. Does he have weaknesses? Yes. Does he have strengths? Yes. Is he our STARTER? Yes. What is there to discuss?
