Give one of the leagues biggest known cheaters back door access to all the teams and media, what could possibly go wrong
Let's be real here. Not the first time he's cheated and likely not the first time he has had "back door access"

Nice analysis and I agree on many of the points. One important question for you:
Had the Cardinals gone down and scored a game winning TD, would your grades have been the same? After seeing so many of these post-game report cards over the years (not just by you, of course), I am curious about this.

Anyone have Josh Gordon's number? I think we are really building something here.

I went hiking in Montana a few weeks ago, and I was pleased to enjoy the company of one Keon Coleman. As we were making our way through Glacier National Park, we came upon a 6 foot tall 1,000 pound grizzly bear who was less than happy to meet our acquaintances. I immediately took off running in the opposite direction. Keon screamed at me "You'll never outrun it, Thunderstruck! Just play dead!". I responded- "Keon- I don't have to outrun the grizzly. I just need to outrun you." He laughed, but it was one of those nervous laughs. The kind where he knew what I was saying was true.

I'll say this, McDermott was dead set on Tyrod staying his qb in 17 when he was playing terribly. Then 3 days later came out and said they were starting Peterman. We all know how that went, so McDermott could be hesitant to do anything for that reason, or maybe McDermott is still bold enough to so somethjng drastic. Who knows. Either way, if they come out Monday night and look terrible again, this season is over. I'm legit expecting them to be terrible Monday. My confidence is borderline non existent
Yeah McDermott seems like a very virtuous man, to his credit. Unfortunately, he also seems to feel that devotion (even if it is to something or someone that isn't working out) is a virtue. This seems to be a part of who he is, so it might be a difficult thing for him to change.

Nope! Like most, I just reacted to the headline!!!
ok- I will, again, explain the semantics of the headline. I did not say that they "have an axe to grind" with the Bills. I said that they are "grinding their axes", meaning sharpening their axes, meaning that they are suggesting that it might be time to cut the head off from this offense.
Maybe I need to change the thread title to "sharpening their axes" so people don't get so hung up on confusing this with the media "having an axe to grind"?

Mcdermott said injuries on defense dictate philosophy on offense so yes he confirmed it.
Granted- I'm not a NFL coach, but I just feel like I would rather run an offense that scores 35 points a game and take my chances with some guys on defense getting tired or rotating in some backups when players need a breather. Scoring 20 points a game and hoping these backups can hold the other team to 19 points doesn't appear to be working out all that well.

I’d argue no team except maybe the Chiefs have been so positively talked in the media than the Bills. We were like media darlings for the last 5 years. There are been so many positive things write/ said about the Bills and Buffalo, more than I can ever remember.
they are supposed to be SB contenders and have look very mid this year. Are they just supposed to say they are awesome? Personally, I think media is kinda of a joke job anyways but to get mad at them for saying the truth after years of kissing our butts is wild.
but since we only have like 8 prime time games, it’s clear the media has it out for us!
Did you watch the video or read any of the posts in this thread? Not trying to be rude here. I just don't understand how you came to the conclusion that anyone in this thread has asserted that.

Starting?? They’ve been singing this song since February. With absolutely nothing to talk about. They constructed a ‘verdict’ that the Bills will decline and miss the playoffs. Check their records. It just sucks that the crippling early injuries are now turning them into loudmouth prophets.
I hate it and most of these doucheb** wannabe “journalists”. But it ain’t goin’ away. “I TOLD YOU SO!”
The early injuries have all been on the defensive side of the ball. Are you asserting that the offense is in a good place? Or that the defensive injuries are somehow responsible for the lackluster play on offense?

Well and fine that the national media is targeting the Bills, but they don't have "an axe to grind". That term doesn't mean what you think it does
#grammarpolice
LOL I didn't say that they "have an axe to grind", my friend. I know exactly what that term means, and it is not the term that I used. I said that they are grinding their axes, meaning that they are sharpening their axes, meaning that they are suggesting that the head needs to be cut off of this abomination of an offense.
This was a pretty weak post, even for "grammar police" standards.

I don't agree it's all on coaching and play design. As said in the video the Bills lack playmakers on offense. They have Diggs and Allen. IMO the Bills focused too much on adding playmakers on defense when they should have done it on offense
They spent a pretty high pick on Kincaid. I think they expect he will be a very good playmaker, and he has shown signs that he will be just that. Having said that- I agree that they have spent A LOT of high picks on the defensive line, several of which have been washouts or have not lived up to their draft status. Our pass rush, despite all those picks, has generally not been adequate.
We passed on some great playmaking WRs in those draft spots, so I do agree with you in that regard.

The National Media just apes what comes from the fans first, and then the local media. Thing is, change doesn't happen until the nationals jump on the train. McDermott and Dorsey are now both on notice. If they don't turn ***** around, they may be gone after this year.
For better or worse, this is the first time that possibility has felt real.
I'm not sure I agree here. This week we have now seen actual football guys (PFT, Cover 1, Dan Orlovsky on OBD despite Chris and Steve's attempt to explain around it, etc.) giving documented evidence of how inept the offense has been. These are guys that know a lot more about football than most fans do, so I don't see it as them merely "aping" what the fans are saying. They see what we see, and probably a lot more than most of us see. Something is drastically wrong here with the overall philosophy and play design, and it is directly resulting in enough losses to potentially keep the Bills out of the playoffs this year.

The same post-game clichés aren't going to cut it anymore. There haven't been any answers coming from this coaching staff, and the people who know football are taking notice and calling this absurdity out. The definition of "insanity", many have said, is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results.
We love this team. We deserve better. What I would really love to know is whether this is a case of McDermott blindly continuing to support "his guy" or if McDermott, himself, is the one who is dictating the style of offense in an attempt to prop up his faltering (yes- also injury ravaged) defense.

Worth his weight in gold. Exactly what this Defense needed.
Fun fact- his weight in gold, today, would fetch about 6 - 7 million. With today's contracts, being worth your weight in gold just doesn't carry the weight that it used to.
