  1. This is why fans get angry Chris. We have done nothing towards cementing a relevant wr corps. Next year CB will be clamorong what did you want Whaley to do it was week three of the season and no wrs were available. So far weve let some very favorable wr fa candidatea just bungle on to other teams. Yea I dont expect a superstar signing however a true wr#2 thats capable at all times to include when sammy is inevitably injured should be a priority. Dont count on those guys to come from the draft and produce year one when history states it normally doesnt happen unless said player is taken early in rd 1. So much like last year when we put humpty dumpty on the wall relying on goodwin, harvin, all injury prone receivers. One of which was off olympic training, the other a complete head case, and ah yes how could we forget about Sammy's inability to remain healthy enough to be productive in the offense.

With all do respect Chris het your head out of Whaley's ass and realize last year and so far this year he has done nothing with regard to the wr poaition worth giving him credit for, to the contrary he rates heavy criticism for his lack of actions to remedy the situation.

You have to remember, Chris Brown was a reporter for Empire Sports back in the day until they closed. He didn't work in the industry until The Bills brought him on board in a weak attempt to control the information coming from the organization.

Chris wants to keep reporting, so he's going to toe the line. He'll never say anything negative about the team and will always try to spin a positive outlook when criticism is brought up.

For that reason, I think about 90% of the fan base simply ignore him (and with good reason). Bills fans have a better connection with Jon Murphy considering he's the voice of the team. Murphy is basically in the same boat as Brown, just more relevant

Chris Brown used to post his hot takes on BBMB, but he stopped because people would always rip on them. Those were fun times.

Yeah I think that was automated so every time he posted to the site, it started a new thread. And yes, I think they stopped because fans would rip his reporting. Very often, it was kind of insulting.

How funny must it have been for other teams to see to see the inside Bills reporter ripped by fans on a message board? LOL

Whaley is doing a good job, I don't care what anyone says. A few missteps along the way, sure. Who's perfect?

He's done a good job in FA so far in my estimation. We're looking good for the draft next month.

    So 7-9 is acceptable huh?

  2. I think Whaley has been one of the better Bills GMs. He's made many good moves. But people needs scapegoats. The Bills would have made the playoffs last year if the D wasn't mishandled by Rex and Co.

One of the best Bills GM? Take Polian and Butler out, and you have a serious of horrendous GM's. That's like saying "I have the most beautiful crack house in the ghetto!" Nothing to brag about

  3. Back in December, as we all well know, Jason La Canfora reported that the Bills had already decided to "move on" from Tyrod.

Further reports from La Can suggested the FO wanted to cut ties with Tyrod and that Cleveland was a likely landing place.

Is it possible that the Bills played him?

The Bills wanted to renegotiate Tyrod's contract but in this super-heated QB market they didn't seem to have a lot of leverage. Just this: they knew Tyrod wanted to stay with the Bills. So they leaked information that they were ready to move on to create enough media speculation that Tyrod starting feeling some motivation to renegotiate after all.

After all, if you want spurious information to go public, Jason's your man. Just one email, text or call to La Canfora would have been enough to create the necessary media buzz to make Tyrod nervous.

I have no insider information, just a curious, suspicious mind.

Not at all... I think he was spot on when reporting in a December. Whaley wanted to get rid of Tyrod but Sean mcDermott wanted to keep him. Go figure GM vs Coach and Coach wins again

  4. Whaley has always been good at pro personnel evaluation. His drafting and QB evaluations are a different story.

Yeah it's hard to argue with that. Sad part, out of the three areas pro personnel is the least important

By the way.... I can't stand Chris Brown. Tim Graham and some of the BN news guys were taking some indirect shots at Brown and John Murphy. So he responded by saying Bucky and Sully were unprofessional at the Rex press conference on the John Murphy Show. So when I called Brown on it, he blocked me.

Brown's work benefits no one, and it's a great example of the "state radio" the Bills want to administer

  5. I would argue that they don't "call it like it is". There is penty of bad to actually report, and I don't have a problem with real information.

The problem is giys like Sully who write everything with a massive bias of hatred for the FO and team in general. The media thinks we want to hear their opinions, so they deliver them as if they were news. It's that type of misleading context that undermines our franchise (and in the long run, their own career).

But it's easy to feel bad for a profession being replaced by twitter. They are becoming obsolete and they know it, so their idea of fighting for themselves is "click bait" headlines to get them some page views. It is what it is.

Your argument doesn't make sense though. Isn't Jerry a columnist? It's his job to share his opinions. How can you possibly tell if he's biased. That's one helluva assumption with no evidence to back it up.

I will say, I think Jerry (along with Mike Rodak) wishes he was covering Tom Brady and the Patriots. But a lot of his criticsm toward the Buffalo is warranted, and true

There is a difference between hating negativity and hating on incompetence. Buffalo media has transformed solely to the clickbait model. They are vocal about their lack of access to the FO and spend half their time whining and complaining about it (see Schopp's ridiculous post a few weeks ago about a dream he had) and the other half of their time posting negative things to try and get OBD to notice them. The problem with almost all of these guys is ego. They view themselves as a brand to be promoted, but they aren't willing to put in the work to actually be relevant sports journalists. Perfect example is Tim Graham, he has the ability to actually write decent articles, but spends most of his time trolling people on twitter.

Skurski has no actual football knowlege. I'd put up half the posters on this board against him and he would lose terribly.

A lot of conjecture and accusation without any proof or evidence.

When I lived in Buffalo I had some personal interactions with Sully and to be honest I found him lacking in all aspects of being a human.

There are a few that I will read their articles but for the most part I get my Bills news from here as well as family & friend still in the Buffalo area.

Such as???? If your going to make a heavy accusation like that, some context would be helpful

  6. that's not true I've been banned and got a bunch of infractions for petty crap

From what I remember you were given more leeway than most. You'd call people names and escape without infraction. If anyone said that to you they'd be banned

Some still bellyaching about BBMB mods and the C.O.C?

    Color me surprised.

Yes and for good reason. Many good members were unfairly given infractions by modes like standingbufflo. The mods ruined that message board

  7.

There's actually a long standing tradition of not starting any new threads during games to prevent exactly what you've described.

There are two options during games:

    1) the two threads dedicated solely to the game (one for the first half, another for the second half) gets a lot of action

    2) There is also the Shoutbox for real time conversation that always has a sizable crowd during games.

Another thing you might notice (aside from people giving you grief for starting redundant threads:-) is the lack of annoying gifs that clog up many message boards.

    That's really frowned on here

    Fair enough...

  8. Name is FrankReichComeback. I've been around for a while, but couldn't take the BBMB after the moderators would ban you at the drop of a hat. Things got back when I received two infractions for defending myself. Glad that place is GOODBYE
