I used to not like turkey, because it seemed to always be such dry meat. Several years ago, I had some dark meat instead of my usual white meat only. That ended up somewhat changing my mind. The dark meat was juicier than the white meat I usually took.

    Turkey thighs FTW.

There is absolutely zero traditional Thanksgiving foods I actually enjoy, including turkey.

Depending on the company I will force some small portions down to be polite but there isn't a single thing on the menu that I would ever voluntarily choose to eat on any other day.

So you don't like mashed potato's, green beans, squash, pie, or gravy at all?

Im in the village of Lancaster. I've tried two expensive indoor ones. I was able to get CBS on and off and some other things the one year, but thats about it. I do have a paramount+ subscription so didn't need the CBS lol. Maybe next year, if I can afford it, I will look into getting one on the roof. Thanks.

I grew up in the Village of Lancaster... small world. Holland Ave kid...

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A University of Alabama at Birmingham football player stabbed two teammates Saturday morning, hours before the team's game against the University of South Florida, the university said in a statement.

Both wounded players were in stable condition, and the teammate suspected of stabbing them was in custody, the statement said. The university did not release the names of the players involved.

The stabbing occurred on campus at the Football Operations Building.

The team elected to play the afternoon game at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, where 29 players were being honored on Senior Day.

“UAB’s top priority remains the safety and well-being of all of our students,” the statement said.

Remaining schedule is not exactly easy.  I only see one sure win (Jets) the others are all very losable, especially if Rodgers and Burrow are playing

    At Pitt (50%)

Bengals (75%, 50 if Burrow plays)

    At NE (40%)

    at Cle (75%)

    Philly (40%)

    Jets (99%)

There is no such thing as a sure win no matter which team is playing... this goes for any team. How many people got bounced out of their survivor league last year... right off the bat.

It's common for the surgeries on the eyes to be a little different from each other.  My second surgery (right eye) felt a little "scratchy" at first but it's fine.

The laser surgery in office, if necessary, only takes a few minutes.   I was able to drive myself home afterwards.

I had lenses put in both eyes and the right one has become a bit cloudy. Had my appointment this morning and have the 2 minute laser "cleanup" scheduled early next month 1 week apart. He said that 80-90% of people who have had lenses inserted will need this procedure... which, like you said, only takes a few minutes. Also said that I will never need it again... it is scarring from the initial implants that most encounter.

I found a couple free HMO plans thru blue cross/blue shield that look pretty darn good. I can get the exact name of the plans if anyone wants them.

The coverage appears better than my mom’s old independent health plan (which she liked). We were able to compare it to the new plan independent health is offering to replace hers for $40/month and it has better coverage than that plan too.

We are leaning toward one of those 2. The one plan has slightly lower out of pocket costs in some stuff like x-rays ($25 vs. $50) and out patient hospital ($375 vs $475). But the other plan provides an $81/month credit toward the Medicare part B premiums that are deducted out of social security payments every month. So I think we are leaning toward that one.

Ive had blue cross/blue shield for many years now and love them. It’s not Medicare though.

Next step is to call blue cross/blue shield directly. That’s been helpful for us in eliminating some plans we were considering.

Personally, i’d recommend everyone do that before choosing your plan. Once you have it narrowed down to a couple, call those specific insurance companies and talk to them to make sure you are reading/understanding everything correctly. Double check that your doctors and medications are covered, etc.

Its a real shame that they made all of this like it's some sort of a game... nothing seems to be straightforward with anything anymore. Can't imagine an older person with no computer prowess at all navigating the labyrinth of Medicare...
