I'm talking about the fans perspective. Their fans can fall back on recent super bowl appearances. Bills fans have nothing. If the Bills fail to make the AFCCG this year then that is two years in a row after making it in 2020.
It's out of our control. I wouldn't worry about it.
We actually have a lot:
4 Super Bowl appearances.
4 time AFC Champions.
We currently have 14-3 record which is 1st in AFC East.
We own the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins for the last 3 years. We're 6-1 vs. New England in 2020s. We're 9-1 vs. Miami within the last 10 match ups.
We currently have Pro Bowl Josh Allen (SUPERSTAR Josh Allen when he's locked in and on fire), All Pro Superstar Stefon Diggs, Playoff Gabe Davis, All Pro Matt Milano, All Pro Jordan Poyer, and Pro Bowler Tre White.
Cleveland Browns have nothing but QB busts.
Cincinnati Bengals have no Super Bowl rings and 3 starting offensive linemen out for this Sunday's playoff game.
Arizona Cardinals last NFL Championship win was in 1947 before anyone on this forum was born.
Buffalo Bills fans have a lot.

It's a little different feeling because our two biggest competitors have enjoyed greater postseason success recently than the Bills. Bills have the pressure on them to advance to the Super Bowl. The Bengals and Chiefs have combined to do that three consecutive seasons. If the Bills and Jax lose this weekend that streak will extend to 4 and the Bills will be snuffed out again.
If you're a fan of the Bengals or Chiefs of course you want them to win. But if not, oh well, we've achieved greater success and will be back next year. But as a Bills fan, it feels like they HAVE TO WIN.
And Jax is a year ahead of schedule. They are one of those 'Just happy to be here" teams. Where the Bengals were last year.
Every elite team wants to go to the Super Bowl. We're not the only ones. Recommendation: Relax. Get some pizza. Get some Buffalo wings. Get some drinks. Enjoy the game.

The closer we get to Sunday the more freaked out I'm becoming about the possibility of not being able to watch this team play again until September.
I have confidence that they will come out ready to play, but I'm also not ready to have this season end. I know that's the same issue we deal with with every season they make the playoffs, but this is a special team no matter how it ends.
Every fan of their team has this mind set. You're not the only one. Get a grip. Relax. Take a nap. Take a shower. Every team faces this possibility this weekend.

When people try to re-write the past I set it straight. Moulds picked a GF up by the neck and slammed her into the wall trying to choke her out on a Buffalo campus.........dodged his paltry child support in MS.........he kept the Bills attorney very busy early in his career and there was a lot of speculation that he would be cut outright heading into training camp of 1998. Also reviled for spitting in opponents faces. Kind of a scumbag. Certainly not the kind of guy that people should go out of their way to make excuses as a player for. He's best kept compartmentalized in the era he played in. His domestic violence issue alone would have kept him out of the NFL today.
Well yards per target and yards per catch are different things now, aren't they? Feel dumb? You should.
As I said.........that 1998 season was the best by a Bills receiver ever. Some prisoners of the moment think Stef Diggs' seasons were better but Moulds was just amazing that year.
Unfortunately, being the blockhead that he was he went and put on 10 pounds of muscle, mostly in his legs, that offseason and came into 1999 noticeably slower and lost that YAC aspect that he had in 1998.
I wasn't aware about any of this stuff regarding Eric Moulds. Yikes. Yup, you're right. He would have been thrown out today. Good thing I don't have his jersey then.
I take back what I wrote about Eric Moulds. Anyways, he was ok (on the field) during his era. We didn't have anyone else. Peerless Price? Nah.

For someone so negative about Eric Moulds, why post in this thread?
The Buffalo Bills still made him a legend. Also, why are you COMPARING ANYONE in the first place?

Love Eric Moulds game. Him today paired with Josh Allen? Moulds would be the number one WR overall today.

Yeah those 3 fumbles and 2 INT against Miami really did a number towards Josh Allen. Motivational bulletin board material indeed.

He will surely go in with that intent, but it will have everything to do with not wanting to let his coaches and teammates down and nothing to do with the media. IMOEhhhh if I was in Josh Allen's position, the media definitely gave me bulletin board material. Sports legends usually do their best to prove the media wrong. Ask Tom Brady. Ask Peyton Manning. Look at Michael Jordan and Kobe. Jim Kelly himself went out of his way to call out sports media BS.
-
Josh Allen isn't going to fumble the ball this Sunday. The media been killing him all over TV and Youtube. So the chances of Josh Allen fumbling is low. I think he's not getting picked off either.

Love to have Jordan Poyer here for another 2 years.
Experienced All Pro Safety ,who is on the top of his game, is difficult to replace. Yes, we can replace him, but with someone younger who needs to be coached up and that player might not work out.
Jordan Poyer is a sure thing for the next 2 years unless he gets injured bad. Also, he can mentor the younger guys, which he's doing right now.

Media may seem that they are favoring Cincinnati Bengals because the ones choosing Bengals are the most vocal. They make the most noise. Also, they're trying to garner clicks and ratings for their show; whatever they're on.
The more noise they make, the more likely all that noise for Bengals gonna back fire.

We're destined to meet Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC Title game. It's bound to happen. Nick Wright is trying his best to avoid that with his trash talk. He's showing fear.

I'll give us a slight edge because this game is being played on our field.
So 60% chance of winning.
If Josh Allen turn overs the ball 2+ times then the chance of winning goes down a lot to 25% chance of winning.

Maybe not, because you’re not getting some of the good stuff then. All that considered , if Allen loses a fumble in this game I don’t think the Bills win. No turnovers in minus territory and they win by 6. Clean turnover game plus a takeaway and I like the Bills by 10.
He can still protect the ball and STILL make plays. He didn't cough it up the previous 2 years like this.

Well one of the fumbles they're counting is the one that slipped out of Allen's hand and went out of bounds 8 yards PAST the LOS.
BTW, a sack is the same from a lost of yards perspective as a fumble recovered by Allen or an O-lineman. So if you don't want fumbles while Allen is trying to avoid the rush and make a play downfield then Allen needs to just take the sack. A lot of QB's do just that. But if this was how he played then we would have missed out on some pretty big plays this year and you could probably add 15 - 20 sacks to our total.
Allen is always at elevated risk of a fumble from a D lineman hitting his arm as he negotiates the "pocket" looking downfield to make a throw. We're just going to have to live with this.
? Just merely stating why we keep track of fumbles. Cincinnati is fortunate that Josh Allen does cough up the ball. If Allen had great ball protection, we're blowing out the Bengals.
-
Fumbles, even when Josh Allen recovers it, equates to loss yards most of the time which is a big deal. That's why we keep track of fumbles. Stop fumbling the ball.
I love Josh Allen's game though. But still, please stop fumbling it.

We got the Win. Eff it. Move on.
Our next game vs. Bengals will be different. Josh Allen is not fumbling the ball 3 times. He might just fumble it once, but not for loss. He's not going to throw 3 INTs either. I think just 1 INT. That's it.
I think this will be a low scoring game. It's going to be long and drawn out. Game will be filled with long sustaining drives to eat clock.

Oh no. He shouldn't have spray painted anything. That IS terrible. Re paint over it and do it differently. A full action body shot of Josh Allen hurdling or the entire team in an action group shot would be have been magnificent and well worth the time.
Dude has the entire wall to work with and that's it? Hire the spray paint artist "KipToe" to do it.

One person shouldn't be relied on to step up on defense.
THE ENTIRE TEAM needs to step up. It's a team game.
And how is the other team stopping Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Dawson Knox, and (if this version of him ever shows up) Playoff Gabe Davis?
-
Can we put them away by late 3rd quarter with a 28+ point lead? We can rest Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Jordan Poyer, Matt Milano, Gabe Davis, Knox, Saffold, and Jordan Phillips.
Since Tua is out and RB Mostert will not be 100%, this looks possible to do.

New York Giants was awful everywhere. The inexperienced also showed. Eagles WR AJ Brown looked physically hurt at the end. He pulled something.
