this is a thread comparing two players. You said you want one because he doesn’t quit. That implies the other does. Otherwise why say it?

No it doesnt, if that was my intent i would have said so. The only implication that was inferred from my statement is that Allen in my opinion (which i am allowed to have right?) has no quit in him and i would say more so than Watson. That isnt to say Watson is a quitter. I never used an absolute. Do I need to post more substantive evidence than I previously stated to further solidify my stance? I can.

Yeah you’re right I keep seeing Watson quit so I want Allen because he doesn’t do that.

I never said watson quit. Has watson been in an obvious qb sneek and literally man handle two dts and a lb for a first down? Has watson hurdled a6’5” lb? Has watson stiff armed the absolute life out of a 250 lb mlb? Dont put words in my mouth..

NFL attendance hits a 15-year low

More people are watching the NFL on TV. Fewer people are watching the NFL in person.

According to David Broughton and Andrew Levin of Sports Business Daily, the NFL averaged 66,648 attendees at home games in 2019. That’s the lowest average since 2004.

The Cowboys averaged 90,929, leading the league for 11 straight seasons. Fifteen teams saw a decline in attendance, led by the Jaguars (8.7 percent drop), Raiders (7.6 percent) and Bengals (7.0 percent).

Two teams saw an increase of more than five percent. Washington’s audience grew by 7.3 percent (the stadium was still at less than 80 percent capacity), and the Bills have a 6.0-percent jump.

Happens generationally when the bandwagon teams start to come to an end of their dynasty. If the 49ers and Ravens keep it up those bandwagon fans will jump ship from the pats and other recently successful teams and attendance will return. There arent many teams that have a true following like the bills through thick and thin.

What game was that? They haven't lost since September.

They were a couple of plays and bad ref calls away from a loss with us. Hes had a fine year however that team truly is a team. He doesnt have near the year without those two tes, rb, and fantastic oline. Wilson truly is a one man band lol. I think you swap qbs on the teams and no one is talking about jackson at all.

I'm not saying best season by QB. I'm not saying best season by a RB. I'm saying this might be the best single season performance ever, in the NFL, by any player at any position. I'm not saying carve this  in stone on the alter of absolute certainty, just a possibility to consider.

What oj simpson 2k year without a single offensive threat and in many fewer games says hello.

The board seems all over the place on this one, so who are we crediting for our success this year? I wanted a topic specifically gathering our opinions on the big 5. Let's be respectful of others opinions as I feel there is a lot of disagreement here:

Beane: B- not in love with the offense he's assembled, especially our poor decisions with receivers although I understand he hasn't had much time to focus on it. Kudos for the defense but I have to give McDermott props on the secondary since he made most of it before Beane got on board and is a DB coach.

McDermott: A+++ the man I give full credit to for this year. Dude's a keeper. I strongly believe HC's should get the lion's share of credit for a good year (see Kitchens blowing it with a talented roster). Beane brings the talent, McDermott brought the winning culture. Not to mention his work on the secondary I mentioned in Beane's grade.

Daboll: D the offense just isn't up to snuff. I understand he's not working with much, but I always get frustrated every Sunday with something he does. Granted I don't know much about exactly what his contribution as OC brings to the table but IMO not a fan.

Frazier: A- fantastic job. Only thing i'd criticize is I want to see more blitz but what do I know? His unit has been fantastic this year.

Josh Allen: B a complete enigma. Every Sunday I alternate every series with being fed up with him.. and next series I'm amazed at a 3rd and long he completes. JA may be the most polarizing figure on here so I'll just leave this with an average grade and say while I want to see more.. he's been good enough and he's my franchise QB for now!

Id say the proof is in the delicious pudding. Championships usually dont happen overnight. They werent going to happen with the last crew period. Culture matters, accountability matters, and team over a single player matters.

Reports are Watt will wear a brace to limit his arm motion.

As we saw, Gronkowski misused his brace as a weapon and assaulted Tre' White

vs Steelers, we all saw Watt's brother punch Josh (not the ball - Josh) hard

Is there a pathway for the Bills to raise a concern with the league and with the officials that they be on the watch for and prevent misuse of the brace as a weapon?

Most ridiculous thing i have read. Jj isnt a scumbag. Nothing to worry about as far as a weapon. Cmon man.

Look at how I phrased the question. I understand Gore needs to spell Singletary, but Gore is slowing down as the season goes on. I think it’s going to get worse as it gets colder and the more touches he gets. Singletary showed the complete package yesterday . Singletary can run, catch, and pick up the blitz. Gore’s touches should be non essential and limited.

Its never going to be that way. They will have another back to spell him. Its what people who learn from mistakes do.

I really hope the media hits him hard with ‘who keeps forcing Gore out there?’.

i want to know why Gore is getting as many touches as he is as early as he is.  why  isn’t Beasley used more in short yardage third down scenarios and is there a reason this team doesn’t do play action?.

Gore is averaging 4.4 ypc. He was a contributor to our wins. Running Gore ensures that Singletary gets a break when needed. Both aren't bad things. Yesterday the Redskins had Gore’s number. They are professionals to that probably stated they weren’t going to allow Gore to win the game for Buffalo. They get paid too.

Oh dear lord. Beane and McD made the salary cap mess.  Teams go from last to first or at least the playoffs all the time.  Playoffs or bust this year. Allen alone will determine if Beane and McD are here in 2021

No the Pegulas will determine if Sean and Brandon are here. They have done a fantastic job of squaring away a disaster left behind by Russ, Whaley, and Ryan.

    Disagree.

The best five players doesn't by any means always make the best line.

Plenty of guys are good at one position and not so good at others. And some positions are more important - LT certainly more than LG for instance - and should generally get the best guy at playing LT, which is very likely going to be Dawkins, IMO.

    My sentiments exactly.

Best 5 on the field, whether it's with Dawkins at LT or not.

It's that simple, but you still can't understand it. That long string of gibberish affirms it.

And yes, you did sling insults, but I don't mind. I just figured you'd want to know that it makes folks that might otherwise take you half seriously think better of it.

I asked you not to act ridiculous or irrational if that is insulting well the. Guilty as charged. The off figures I posted were legitimate and it showed that Nsekhe was ranked as the 43 ranked TACKLE not guard. I’m fine with debating but literally nothing factual you posted supports your claim to moving Dawkins to guard and putting Nsekhe at tackle. There will be a competition undoubtedly, however, if it’s even close to which nothing literally nothing whether play on the field or athletic ability suggests it will; familiarity itself will lead to Dawkins rightfully retaining the tackle spot.

Nothing I have posted was gibberish.

    Yet I’m hurling insults....

It doesn't matter how many insults you sling, it doesn't make your argument stronger, so shelf that garbage and make a real argument.

The fact of the matter, as I showed you, is that Nsekhe's grade at LT is actually higher than Dawkins'...not that PFF grades should mean anything beyond a sidebar discussion point. Believe it or not, play on the field is what matters, not what a bunch of statisticians calculate in an office without having ever played the game.

And you're still missing the point--best combination of 5.  You want to be legalistic about it, and that's a very, very, very poor approach.  If you had your choice, Eric Wood never would've moved from RG to C...because "known quantity" and all that jazz.

I have to disagree.  While tackle is considered more difficult, a tackle-to-guard transition isn't always good for a player.  Look no further than Nsekhe; he's much better at LT than LG. Same went for Andrew Whitworth.  Cincinnati moved him to LG at two different points in his career (once in 2008 and once in 2013--both for stretches of games).  Now, they didn't do that because they thought he'd be better at LG, but rather because they had a shortage at the guard spots and felt that Whitworth at LG and a backup at LT was a better combination of 5 than the other alternatives.  But make no mistake, Whitworth is much better at tackle.  Guards need to be able to move down the line and work in close quarters, which can sometimes be more difficult than having space to establish a pass set and utilize arm length.

Maybe Dawkins will be a great LT.  But again, this isn't about Dawkins per se.  This is about getting the best combination of 5. If the team feels that they can field the best front-5 with Dawkins at LG and Nsekhe at LT, then that's what they should do.

I slung no insults your argument is ridiculous your swapping a known better commodity as I have shown for unknown not so good commodity. PFF is used by multiple teams; multiple teams pay for their services. So while a cursory oh he’s new he’s better than Dawkins POV from the fan base such as yourself is the loudest voice in the room it doesn’t make it the smartest decision. If he wins it in training camp fine. I highly doubt the coach is going to move a better commodity away from a position that’s critical to the success and development from “hopefully our franchise qb”. That’s simply not the intelligent move.

Josh understands is “cozy” with the way Dawkins is going to block the different rushes, he after being with him for a year understands where he needs to be in the pocket so he’s not getting destroyed by the pass rusher that Dawkins is blocking.

I have said nothing about Eric wood. This argument is about moving arguably your most important position on the line with your current best lt to guard for an unknown lesser rated lt.

That isnt an intelligent stance on any level unless he just comes in in training camp and proves his mettle. That hasn’t occurred and likely will not occur.
