I’ve seen the random alleged lack of consistent effort on film. And you do sort of come away thinking that given his obvious natural gifts he should be better than he has shown eg blocking, YAC, taking plays off, running routes at half-speed etc… If thats all there is I would definitely still be all in unless there is something more serious that signals a serious lack of maturity and discipline that would adversely impact coachability (because he needs a lot of coaching). If the concerns are backed up with anything credible he is off the Bills board. George Pickens fell in the second partly because of alleged character issues. I hope we aren’t over reacting.

I mean, as far as we know he hasn't pulled a Von Miller, a Zay Jones, or a Marcel Dareus. Right?

***** the one guy I don’t want. Has to be accurate

    1) schefter has his stamp on it

    2) the fact they mention “Buffalo” and “weather” and “wind” means it’s def a mcbeane line of reasoning. Ughhhh

This would suck. He has “N’Keal Harry” all over him

Tony Pauline has Buffalo looking at Mitchell and Coleman but open to trading down.

Gun to my head give me Mitchell since he has better tape and you can, in theory, handle character stuff.

Coleman is a one trick pony with a limited route tree.

6'3" 210 runs a 4.3/40 - best hands in the draft. can't teach this sh*t.  I think character issues are BS - our trainers will make sure he takes his insulin.  Only real red flag is bad YAC. Might be the route tree they had him run

Im pretty anti-Mitchell but I’ll say that Texas had lousy QB play so that might contribute to his bad YAC stats.

Don’t know how much of this is true, but if so, hard pass.

The attitude is from what I’ve read, the run blocking is a knock in his scoring reports, and the low effort tag came from an interview where Mitchell admitted he didn’t give 100% on some routes

Get AD Mitchell.  He can do things none of our current guys can.  Great hands + elite vs press man which we see every year in the playoffs.

Bad attitude problems, bad run blocking, and low effort at times on the field. Pass.

Definitely a guy that could develop even more, fill out his frame more with NFL weight training and he's young enough he might even grow a little bit more.

I didn’t realize that Joe Brady recruited him out of high school. That would make me feel a little better

Troy Franklin feels like the guy they might like, with the attention he's gotten from them and the attention his QB got from them. As to the idea that they're not interested in WR because of the trade backs with two teams that took WR, feel like they probably had pretty good read on who those teams were taking, KC took the maybe Tyreek Hill can happen twice guy, and the Panthers practically took out a Billboard to announce Leggette.

Id much rather have McConkey, and it sounds like the Bills love him if they had multiple visits with him.

Trust the process. Beane has a long track record of bringing in elite WRs like Kelvin Benjamin, Terrelle Pryor, Tavon Austin, Marquez Stevenson, Ray-Ray McCloud, Brandon Powell, Justin Shorter, and Austin Proehl.

Beane also has a long track record of bringing in elite defensive talent like Ed Oliver, Kaiir Elam, Boogie Basham, AJ Epeneza, Gregory Rousseau, etc who cant even sack or Int Mahomes once in the playoffs.

    Trust the process.

You cannot call late season/practice squad flyers on guys like Tavon Austin a knock on Beane. Come on dude.

i voted yes.  lots if great WRs available.  Grab a speedy route runner/deep threat  (McConey, etc.) and Polk, Mitchell, etc). combo and all is good.

Yeah, that’s about where I’m at. I hope we double dip.

And again, I am so thankful that Carolina took Legette and not us.

  11. Not really. Through the entire process I wanted Beane to go all in and get Josh a stud WR1 to play with for the next 10 years. I hate being timid.

Similarly, feels like Beane got caught with his pants down when Jacksonville took BTJr (which was stupid because they have a lot of defensive needs).
