The people who work in the Hospice field are angels on earth. I don’t think I could do what they do, it takes something special.

1000%. You have to have a huge heart to do it well, and I can only imagine what the process does to someone with a huge heart who has to do the process over and over.

SF kicked a FG on the first drive of the 2nd half to make 24-10. The Lions moved into FG range on the next drive. Instead of kicking the FG and making it 27-10. He went for it on 4th down and didn't get it. The WR didn't catch the ball, but he was open. SF then made it 24-17 and it snowballed from there. In the 4th quarter with the Niners up 27-24 he had a chance to tie the game with a FG but went for it on 4th down and didn't make it. SF then went down the field and made it 34-24 which pretty much ended the game.

    Oof.

    And DOUBLE OOF.

Thanks Gregg for the explanation. I must have watched more then I thought as I thought he went for it on 4th in the first half too. I did see the first 4th down attempt and was like "damn man I know this is how you got here but....take those points!!! 3 Scores!".

I have my beefs with McD (I feel he is sometimes inconsistent in his logic of when he does or doesn't go for it on 4th) but this is brutal for Lions fans.

108 stabs not enough to lock someone up?  250 the threshold?

Jesus. Again perhaps I am simply writing badly again....locked up for simply smoking pot ("over it") which is a giant waste of time. A courteous or even common sense reading would get you there buddy.

Maybe go smoke a joint an relax or something.  I dunno.

Pot can trigger psychotic episodes and breaks in people with underlying issues.

100%.  Not trying to be a dick...isn't that what I implied? I meant to, maybe I wrote it poorly.

(EDIT: I am neither a reefer madness dude, nor a "it's a harmless plant man!" dude either.  I am just pleased we're not wasting time locking people up over it. )

  5. Got a kohler hooked to my buried 1000 gallon propane tank, hardwired to a secondary board, with an automatic transfer switch. Powers MOST of the house, but not my electric ovens.

It was a massive investment but it has been bulletproof. Had a terrible storm in CT 11-12 years ago around Halloween. Thing ran non stop for a week like a champ. Just needed an oil change.

Not so sure , see their performance and blowout loss in the moved titans game during covid. Never know what results you will get with mcd.

Fair enough but at least they have some experience with a moved game (Damar too of course, bad outcome there too, so maybe you're right, I dunno)

Harris blows. Guy is incredibly overrated by some. He’s an average, slow back. Complete waste of a first round pick.

I don't think he is great but he has really come on the last three games, and I just have the worst feeling when teams decide to really stick to a run game against us (which bad weather would force). Especially a tough team that doesn't mind having that be their identity.

Disagree with this. I think the Steelers have a better chance of winning if they can launch the ball deep to Pickens. I was totally fine with a bad weather game because they would have barely had a passing offense whereas ours could have scraped by. Now both teams are on equal playing field AND our divisional round opponent gets 8 days of rest versus 6 days of rest. It is a horrible outcome all around.

I dunno man, I think a Najee Harris/run dominated game in bad weather was easily their best path to success, which would have been forced by the weather. They can still do that of course but if we are able to pass normally in decent weather, and we get up a couple scores...more of the game goes to Rudolph. He's played nicely but 3 tds in four games isn't scaring anybody.

The rest issue sucks, no polishing that turd.

States that followed the same high standards of safety compliance like NY and CT along with other northeast states had an agreement that people traveling between those states would be treated the same, whereas those coming from lax states like Florida would face greater scrutiny.

Btw, once vaccinations were available Florida had the highest per capita death rate in 2021 during the Delta variant wave.

The standards difference between NY and CT was actually somewhat large, surprisingly. Both were what I guess you could call "strict", but NY state went above and beyond closing things whereas CTs work restrictions were written in such a way that it was much easier to make a case to stay open and operating.  I would NOT say CT was "lax", but compared to NYS....yeah, it was. Maybe both are strict compared to Florida, I dunno.

NW CT actually had a very good sized influx of NYSers (worse than normal even) buying up homes here to escape NYS and their regs.

Source: A guy who's 50+ year family business would have been closed, and ruined, in NY (or MA for that matter) but was NOT closed in CT. They're all northeast states, but they didn't all operate the same, thankfully.

Oh and...had it twice, the second time just a few weeks ago. Not fun, but not bad either.

I did sign up for Peacock on Black Friday, just for this game, when they were running the $2.99/month special.

Question: How do I get the video from either my Samsung tablet or my Apple IPad to my big screen TV?

I know with my iphone I can screen mirror it right to my tv. I'd assume an iPad would have that, but your tv has to support it too.  It is right on the pull down menu on my phone, looks like two squares, one in front of the other.

There are supposed to be limitations to what it will do (like, it shouldn't do youtube and some other apps as they want you using the app)...but I have yet to find anything it won't mirror.

Because it was the only thing that worked.  Cook and Murray gashed Denver all night.  Even Dorsey won't leave the run when its averaging 7.5 yards per carry.

    Anything else?

Oh I am not against running, even running consecutively. I just can't recall when the last time I saw the same back (especially after having fumble-itis) get so many consecutive carries.

Perhaps my "why were we calling 3-4-5 runs in a row multiple times with him when he came back?" was too vague for you to follow but the thread IS about Cook.

And calm down with the "anything else?" teach. sheesh. Take it out on the team if you mad, or understand my point the first time.

  12. I mean he is gone now so it doesn't matter but....why were we calling 3-4-5 runs in a row multiple times with him when he came back? Was Dorsey sticking it to McDermott?

Seems not a great idea to gas a guy out like that when he has already fumbled...can't remember the last time I even saw 3 runs in a row outside of ending a game.
