Can I nominate this for best thread of the year?

Yes!!!!....the trophy for thread of the year is a computer keyboard swooshing from nowhere......it's a cool trophy but I feel sorry for the letter A because it's on the left and it's so small due to the motion swoosh going left to right. And the winner is..........

  2. Is anyone else disenchanted by the swoosh Logos? Perfect example is the Pats ugly guy face swooshing out of....well....nowhere! The jags had the same.....Panthers.....same.....I wonder if the same overpaid artist is laughing all the way to the bank selling the same ole same ole....over and over. Am I nuts for noticing this or just an old fart not wanting to embrace modern design....?

  3. After reading the comments from Vets, it's obvious that the right to kneel is important. That's what they fought for.

Here's an idea to fix the entire problem.

The Players Coalition makes a public statement which would be all over the news ans social media.

"We as players in this great country are proud of our vets and the freedom they fought for, even the freedom to kneel. We do however think there is social injustice in areas of our country. When you see a player kneeling, please know that player intends to be active in the communities he loves, teaching our youth how to respond appropriately when they encounter law enforcement. Kneeling players desire to let fans know that THEY are the ones taking action in communities through education and financial support. Again, we appreciate our freedom to kneel and freedom to educate and support where we see fit. We intend to address any player who kneels and tries to take credit for his good works without doing said good works. In summary, kneeling during the National Anthem means two things as defined in our Mission Statement.

    1) We kneel with no disrespectful gestures as we listen to the Anthem thankful for this country and it's freedoms.

    2) We who kneel are letting fans know WE care and WE are in the communities proving it.

I would love this for my Browns, Darnold and Chubb, we get our Franchise QB for the first time since Bernie Kosar and our pass rush should be off the charts with Garrett Ogbah and Chubb :)

But your FQB will have to beat out Tyrod.....hahahahahahahaha

This is odd...I don't remember Alabama losing off of a game clinching interception...

Wait, no, I'm remembering "Pure Passer" Peterman. That's the comparison you are making.

Ok, so one response to my post was that I said Taylor sucks, another thinks I mentioned Peterman. Wow.....

In a debate.....i don't think you are allowed to respond to comments NOT made by the other side.

My comparison wasn't meant for specific plays.....it was a more global perspective.  Seeing what happened in the Alabama game IMO is justification for making the switch against the Chargers. I realize the two decisions has vastly different results. It took balls to make the switch against the Chargers, and took balls to make it in the NCAA Title game. Some decisions work some don't......

I still stand by my original comparison. If anyone watched every Tide game and every Bills game this year....feel free to correct me or debunk the comparison.

Notice my original post did say (insert name here).......I'll defer to all the other posts on who our QB should be.....

  6. Where is my post did you see Taylor sucks? In fact, I compared him to Hurts who has been extremely successful. image.thumb.png.54520ae6c59c2dd95d6ab4ce6588b782.png

I was comparing styles....take what the defense gives you. When Hurts struggled with that, Alabama made a bold change.

It sometimes amazes me how single minded and bandwagon jumping the NFL is when it comes to creativity on offense. We have seen a very few revolutionary changes in 50 years; Wildcat, Shotgun Snap and thats about it. I'm not trying to be an armchair OC here but then again, I don't get paid millions to mastermind offensive creativity.

  7. Look at the National Title Game:  A QB for Alabama who WAS winning with his athletic ability, who is an average passer, who telegraphs throws. This is not working against GA.  Insert pure passer who sees the field, looks off a safety, burns GA for the winning touchdown throw. Dabol surely had a part in the preparation and decision.

Taylor is to Hurts as.......  (insert potential name here) is to Tagaviloa....    Mahalo!

  8. Don't get too down on The Peterman Catalogue  yet......

Not saying he's Farve....not saying he's bust.....just that the jury is out......

    From Bleacher:

    1992—Favre Becomes Green Bay's Starter

    4 OF 19

It didn't take very long for Favre to get playing time in Green Bay. After a poor first half by quarterback Don Majkowski in the second game of the season, Favre got the duties for the second half.

However, Favre's unremarkable performance didn't win him the starting job for Game Three. Majkowski would suffer a ligament injury, though, and Favre would once again enter the picture.

After four fumbles, Favre was almost removed in favor of Ty Detmer. Instead, he would lead the Packers to a comeback victory with 13 seconds remaining.

No. 4 was the starter for the next game against the Steelers and that would be the beginning of his record consecutive starts streak.

  9. Do I need to remind you who Peterman would have to be throwing to?

Without Charles Clay, he would be throwing to the worst group of receivers in the NFL.

Is it even fair to evaluate any QB in that situation?

Need I remind you this is a team sport?

Most good QBs in the NFL have a solid group of receivers and/or a dominant receiver (AJ Green) that can make 2 plays that will decide a game.

Sammy Watkins was finally healthy this season and Tyrod could have finally had a premium receiver that he could depend on being in the lineup every week.

But the Bills got rid of that for what looks like a very low first 2nd round pick.... because the LA RAms are playoff bound (and the Chiefs are the best team in the NFL too)

Peterman would be throwing to the worst receivers in the NFL who are often open on replays from higher angles!

  10. Good = Consistent in the NFL. Is anyone sick of the commentators reviewing the play (sack) from a higher angle.....and you can see receivers that Brady would have hit all day long. Just makes me wonder if Peterman could.

  11. The last (and only) Panther Game I attended in Charlotte was tied in the 4th quarter. I had to rush to the men's room to not miss the game ending action. I was appalled that the hallways were packed with people standing around socializing, sweaters tied around their necks and occasionally glancing at the TVs mounted on the walls. I want to shout at the top of my lungs...."HEY THERE'S A GAME GOING ON!" Well, they were there to be seen I guess. The fans base has gotten better over the years.....but will never match the Buffalo Loyalists. I was planning on adopting the Panthers as my NFC team to root for but just couldn't.

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!

  12. Let's jump on the bandwagon that Madison Ave. is selling over and over to mindless corporations and thinking it's brilliant creativity. What I'm opining on here is the cutesy misuse of grammar thinly disguised as creative marketing, and corporations actually pay for this rubbish! Here are some examples: "find your both" , "this is how we happy". Now that you know the gimmick, watch commercials and read ads closely and witness this disturbing moronic trend for yourself. All that said.....here is my brilliant new slogan idea that describes our annual season "journey" (another overused word in the corporate world).

Optimism.....Hope.....Despair "This is how we football"
