  1. I am so sick of hearing about the Patriots cheating I could puke. Move on people. So what, everyone looks for an edge, New England is better in all phases of the game currently. Either beat them or shut up and watch Happy Days reruns.

And that's what many people are doing. NFL sucks now. Flag every play and no big hits, not the same game. It might not be around for long.

The won but it ruined it for everyone. They got a pass on it because everyone wants the next Jordan. If you like football you really got screwed over.

  2. This is catering to your personnel....putting them in the best position to succeed.....a concept that was foreign to Rex.

McDaniel has done a lot to the Bills reflects a system coach building a team around him because he only knows to play the game one way.

Revamp the running game, when it worked last year and the Bills still lost

Loose Gilmore, and draft a CB 1st round.

West Coast Offense, it's like the Tampa-2 has never been invented.

NFL teams should be able to run every offense since 1950 if they have to. They've only been doing it for 20 years.

Tyrod will never be a good QB until he throws over the middle. I don't think he's been saving it for this long.

  3. Oh, the unstoppable run game was stopped a lot last year. Plenty of 3 and outs, sometimes taking up an entire half, often when the Bills needed it the most, like the Raiders game or Dolphins at home, when they had a chance to break the longest playoff streak in pro sports.

The secret to all those rushing yards? Run the ball when down by 20 and the defense is in perma-nickel.

"From there all it takes is one defender not executing his assignment perfectly and Tyrod has tons of space to roll."

That results in a TD for any other offense in the league, not Tyrod stepping out of bounds on the 30 to avoid an injury.

This was all proven in the 1950s. Take two more steps, throw a bullseye, get 10 more yards. The Bills are going to show everyone how NFL football is played. Pathetic.

  4. The only good thing going into the Bills season is people expect them to be really bad. The last time I can remember that was Flutie's first year, and that gives me hope.

McDermott changed the run game completely. That was the only good part of last year. Not a good sign for coaching, it makes it seem they only know how to do one thing.

Taylor is just too small. It's really affects his game more so than any other QB. That missed throw to Watkins 2 years ago against the Jets, he was just throwing blind. Last year at home against Miami, he was standing on his tip toes to see the field, so you have to drop down to throw. That's not going to work. He also always runs, his lower body position is never the same for each throw, so there's no way to get a consistent platform, so he's never really thrown a NFL pass ever in his life yet.

Kyle Williams told everyone he's about to quit this year. The Bills gave up 2 picks for Watkins, and he's yet to give the Bills a full game. That's the veteran leadership who are needed for a surprise run.

So the Bills are in a rebuild. 3 years to build a new roster, enough time for everyone else in the league to discover McDermmott's faults. If the Bills stay in Buffalo and don't end up in Toronto it's a win.

  5. God forbid a professional sports head coach wants "coachability and availability" from his professional players. Lol.

Is that really too much to ask of grown men who make millions upon millions of dollars? I mean, that is exactly what they're paid for.

Seriously, is there really an issue with this statement?

"“If you’re not coachable, you’re not going to be able to play," Marrone said on Tuesday. "If you’re not available, you’re not going to be able to play. Biggest mistake I can make as a head coach is put somebody out there that isn’t ready or hasn’t practiced. I’m letting the fans down, I’m letting the team down, I’m letting you down, I’m letting everybody down.""

I hope McDermott is the same way, because you know who else has been that way? Belichick, Parcells, Lombardi and some of the best coaches in the history of the NFL. That's why they win.

(And it's been a huge reason why the Bills don't win.)

Let's get 40 year old Kyle Orton running the read-option

  6. Really really bad shape.

Running game was good last year. Let's change it, say the coaches. The one thing that's meaningless in today's NFL, they obsess over. All you need it for is to pick up third and short, and the goal line.

Defense has gone from 4-3 to 3-4 now back to a 4-3. No depth as a decade of drafts go down the drain spent on rebuilds. These rebuilds are due to one trick coaches who force themselves on the team, instead of using competence and experience to work with what they got, and prioritize for the most important position in sports.

Speaking of the one thing the Bills should focus on, QB has been totally disregarded outside of:
    - TT standing on his tip toes to throw a 5 yard completion
    - A 2nd round pick who went down with a knee injury in OTAs

It's not a rebuild. It's grooming for the rebuild.

  7. Outside the stadium, the defense has been exposed. At Atlanta, at Carolina, both blowouts. Paul Allen threw away billions on it. They play QBs who can't audible and run a silent snap for 8 games every year. It's the same reason the Bills are bad at stopping the run on the road and late in the year. The crowd noise is never taking into account during the film, and scrubs can get a roster spot.

Dump another billion into coaching staff, who study how the defense how to cheat and get away with it, and you have your not so great defense. Leagues should really start kicking people out who habitually cheat. Football, hockey and boxing is quickly turning into a holding feast. If they don't do something soon, people will stop watching it and ratings will drop. Oh wait...

  8. Players on winning teams don't get injured as much. When the score's 35-0 at halftime, the QB is not going to scramble and throw to the star WR going to go over the middle. Defenses rush more and play more zone.

Also players are going to play through more when having a chance for the Super Bowl. Lots of players leave the Cowboys, Steelers and Green Bay and are nothing. Compare that to Gilmore and Watkins this year, or back in '02 when Reuben Brown skipped the last game.

  9. In 2012 everyone was looking at Matt Barkley, Landry Jones, and Geno Smith. EJ went #1 overall. Good job!

Maybe winning in the NFL depends on vets, coaching, and seeing the upcoming trends like 7 man zones and quick passing than getting "excited" over some rookie?

  10. Let's look at everything going against the Bills:

    • New offense.
    • New defense.
    • 1st year head coach.
    • Taylor's well known shortcomings remain with no solution, no over the middle throws. Bad pocket presence. Can't see field.
    • Run first offense.
    • Ragland and Lawson expected to play roles when they were hurt all last year.
    • Three new starters in secondary
    • Tough schedule. Super Bowl champs twice. At NFC champs. At LA. Playoff teams late in the schedule. Jets and TB look like they are the only gimme wins. Jets swept the Bills, and this is TBs make or break year with a No. 1 overall pick at QB.

Really doesn't look good next year.

  11.

I've waited more than twenty years. I think that's long enough.

Get ready to wait 5 more after they draft a "franchise" QB. It takes that long for them to develop.

Add in the Bills current roster, and do some math to see that the best guys on the Bills will be gone by then, and it's a loosing situation.

  12. White and black are social constructs. Genetically, diversity matters the most. It gets rid of all that inbreeding, no matter what race you are. That's why mules, mutts and the big cat hybrids are twice as big as their pure breed counterparts.

Genetics pale in comparison to team, coaching, diet, mentality, experience and training. Any given Sunday as far as that's concerned.

With that said, there is a class of people who are extremely athletically gifted, who don't play pro sports. They become doctors and lawyers. Do you want to spend the prime of your life on a private jet full of Johnny Manziels and get hooked on pain pills? No thanks.

Race in athleticism only matters in that it shows the ignorance of those who believe in it.

  13. the bills can just do no right here when it comes to the fans

    - First.....shouldnt have traded 2 first round picks for him in a draft that produced other very good wr's......as if they knew that was even going to happen.

    - Then.....they should not fart around with the extension.....unless of course they just give it to him and then he ends up coming up lame due to off the field actions....then of course they SHOULD NOT have given him the extension

    I mean....come on folks....which is it?

The one that brings up the longest playoff drought in pro sports.

Also the one that where the Bills make a real effort, instead of having billionaires scam money by building up a team halfway for two years, then tearing it all down and starting over again.

  14. What I still can't wrap my head around is why are we putting so much stock into a TE in the first let alone top ten...

I saw this happen with Pettigrew, saw this happen with Ebron and now seeing bills fan head over heals for Howard...

We have Clay, who is a darn good talent and we cant even utilize him correctly.

Yes, 30 catches turn around this team?

I'll go with WR and RT over TE. Offense needs more help than people think. Give Tyrod everything he needs so there's no excuses, yet build for the future if he's gone.

  15. I release my mock every year on 4/20. Here it is...

    1. WR Mike Williams 6'4 218 Clemson

    2. CB Quincy Wilson 6'1 211 Florida

    3. QB Davis Webb 6'5 229 Cal

    5. T Roderick Johnson 6'7 298 Florida St.

    5. LB Ben Boulware 6'0 236 Clemson

    5. S RayShawn Jenkins 6'1 220 Miami

    6. RB Stanley "Boom" Williams 5'7 190 UK

It's a deep corner class, can get a good one in 2nd (I went with Wilson). There is a drop off at WR after Williams and Davis, they can be franchise WRs (I went with Williams).

I like Webbs attributes. Until Taylor proves himself, the more options the better.

I like Ramcyzk in the 2nd, and go with CB in the 5th. Looks good with everything else.
