It ceased to be an "abstract issue" when the motives for this "story" were based on race. It invalidates the entire piece to know that the intent is reprehensible.

Why ? What you saying is If a story is originally reported with an agenda the facts contained in the story are irrelevant.

Btw acting like a immature jack ass is a not nearly ass bad as rubbing your ass in someone face.

  2.

The Bills are in fine cap shape, they've got plenty of ways to free up money without gutting the roster. The new look Bills will always be right up against the cap, as will every other competitive team in the league. There's seldom a need for fans to worry about the cap being a problem... unless you're a fan of a team with a penny-pinching owner which fortunately does not apply to Pegs.

Even a casual look into the cap situation will reveal this to be true.

I use to think that, but the closer I look I don't see a ton of room. Yes they can sign Incognito and Glenn but I don't see them with much left to add to the roster.

How much will we save when Shady goes to jail?

cutting Shady hurts the cap this year

  3. Is the article racially motivated, are there double standards in America ? Both good questions . I think the first issue do you believe it happen, if so is it relavent. Personally In this case it is hard to see an underhanded motive by the accuser. Is it relative absolutley , Payton has profitted greatly on the back of the aww shucks imagine, not the guy banging his dick on someones head .

This. Absolutely unequivocally agree 100%. Tabloid journalism and race baiting at it's best.

again I ask . do you think he did it. Leave the abstract issue aside .

  4. This whole thing started because one quarterback chose to be a baby and not act like an adult after a loss, while the other one after enduring many a loss and acting like an adult won another Championship.... and the justification for the reporting of this was based upon his SKIN COLOR.... that to me is intolerable. This "journalist" should be roundly criticized for this obvious tabloid journalism...

umm but did Payton do it ? Which is the important issue . So now the golden boy has committed sexual misconduct and had Steroids delivered to him home . Lets keep peeling back the onion

  5. If Glenn will sign a long deal that gives the Bills a little wiggle room is 15 then you tag him. A tackle could fall into thier lap in this draft in the first or second round, in which case you can move on from Glenn and reinvest his money elsewhwere. It is a big game of wack a mole everyyear. This year we need to keep him.

The market for Gilmore is pretty well established it will come down to the Bills paying and Gilmore wanting to stay .

Incognito should be the first chip to fall.

As for Kali , I am not sure the Bills will have a dime to spend on Free agnet but as poor as he played he still would be an upgrade over the yearly mess at Right tackle He should be cheap but how cheap would be the question

  6. If you watch the games you can easily see Rex has a different game plan week to week. The problem this year was two fold . Injuries which were massive, and players that were too ignorant to pick up the system or just plain stopped trying .

Lets see what next year brings shall we

  7. Yep....or maybe the nail was dropping from #4 defense to below #15

your point would make sense if the players were the same

Or not letting EJ get any 1st team reps before demoting him.

Or his horrible game management skills

Or hiring his !@#$ing brother, who has sucked for nearly his entire career

For the first time in my life as a Bills fan, I am close to wanting them to suck just so this ass hole gets fired. But I don't want Whaley to go, so I'm torn.

Firing ? Injury decimated defense , 2 games started by E.j and qb who never played before and he was 8-8 He actually did a good job. Lets not forget Shady missed a bunch of games .

  8.

Not even a lot of juggling--dropping Dixon and getting a pay cut from McKelvin (which he said he'd take) gets you 50% of the way there. You get the rest of the way if you drop any of Carpenter, Lawson, or Urbik.

You can also create $3M worth of space with a new deal for Gilmore.

I really think they're going to try to avoid touching Clay's deal...it'll leave them in much better shape for '17-'19 if they can do so.

Mario at 12.5 , the cap is suppose to go between 8-10. They can carry over 6 from last year. Last I saw they were 3 over. right there is enough to fit them. Restructure clay to fit the draft picks. This is just one path , there are many others

  9. Almost none of those guys played the jets week 17 and we won anyway. so while I agree the injuries killed us during the season but that doesnt absolve rex cuz he showed he could win with bak ups against a team with a much better defense and the playoffs on the line. his scheme and the way he mis managed the defense cost us a few. dont forget replacing Searcy and Spikes is the headcoaches job too. and its like he forgot they were gone.

EDIT: and gilmore was gone when we were already pretty much out of the playoff hunt

Replacing players is the coaches job ? No coaching the players on the roster his job. Once Williams went out the safety group was a mess. Beating the Jets is hardly the gold standard, they beat one team with a winning record all year. They won with back ups because as we know Fitz isn't very good

Me, too. It's a huge concern.

The franchise tag for offensive linemen is expected to be $13.678M. They'll need that cleared before the new league starts. That's some pretty heavy lifting.

Not really , signing Glenn and Incognito can get done; Glenn is almost completely covered by releasing Mario. Between carry over and the cap increase Incognito will not be an issue. Yes after that it will take some juggling but this is the nfl , every year its jigsaw puzzle. Who stays and who goes and hopefully you fill all your holes.

  10. thats correct but doesnt let rex off the leash

Why not, you need at l good personal to be great. Average to be good. With all the injuries they has below average personal about half the games

    Spikes gone

    searcy gone

    J wynn

    A Williams

    K Williams

    mckelvin

    Bradham

    Graham

    Gilmore

    all misses multiple games

It depends. Depending upon the new cap (which has not been finalized/released yet) Incognito is likely to fit with just Clay's restructure. Gillmore's cap hit for 2016 will decrease with a new deal. Other moves will certainly need to be made for Glenn to fit and a big part of it that is probably Mario. I haven't seen when his roster bonus is due, but that is the date to watch.

That assumes Glenn even re-signs with Buffalo. I don't see why he wouldn't follow the money and I very much expect him to get better offers on the open market.

Jeez they can tag him for the next two year. If he doesn't want to do a long term deal then they tag him. A year from now they evaluate the position , you still have this years free Agency and Draft to add players before you need to make a long term decision . Glenn is really a non issue at this time He will be on the team on 2016

  11. Pressure is the most important thing, sacks are over rated. Pressure can cause hurried passes, holding calls, extra players keep in , less in pass patterns. One of the issues last year was teams were game planning so there was no way to get to the qb, ultra quick releases, couple that with players like Mario not following assignents and you get poor defense . Plus the half dozen injuries

  12. Rex coached the defense so well last year that it got worse. His approach was to take what works and bend it to what he wanted to do. If it doesn't then blame the dumb players who couldn't absorb your brilliant concepts.

Rex Ryan has an MBA in weasel management. He takes credit for the successes and he blames others for the failures. If you want to believe that Rex did a stellar job coaching last year then go ahead and ignore the stats that demonstrably say otherwise. I may be stupid but I am not gullible.

Your statement would be correct if Rex was working with the same roster, since he was at time missing half of the starters from the 14 team your point is moot

  13. you are correct, no worries. I read your post and I responded to your "lead." They were worse overall in 2015 than 2014. That's fact. The offense showed improvement and signs of progress but special teams and defense took bigger strides backwards. Now we hope that the defense can improve with addition by subtraction and maybe a mid-tier FA or two.

As far as backtracking...I'm not someone who sits around keeping score about who said what, but you enjoy doing that. If the team plays better as a whole next season you won't see me complaining about it or saying I'm sorry for talking about the drop off we saw in 2015. This team was held back by their supposed strongest pieces & that is worthy of discussion.

Correct they were worse in 2015, but that has everything to do with completely different personal and performance and very little to do with Rex. Rex has a big mouth that is his weakness, of course you can have a coach who never talks like Dickie J and get zero enjoyment out of the team .

  14. I agree with Clay.

McKelvin could go either way. I think it depends on what the staff thinks of his ability. I think they will and should cut him.

Urbik, for that price he is good and can start when injuries occur and is the back up center. I think they keep him.

Lawson, I think he fits well with the scheme and contract situation is one that a restructure could work.

I agree with the personnel was different.

I disagree with the Rex bashing being commical and unwarranted. I also find nothing about Rex commical.

I do think and hope he will do better this year. But, don't think he is capable of taking a team to the playoffs more than once every 4 or 5 years (please don't respond saying he did two years in a row as I know and as I think he has digressed as a coach since then and/or the game has changed and Rex hasn't)

The greatest coach in the world would not be able to take the 2012-2014 Jets to the playoffs. they has a serious lack of talent. One of the worse rosters in the league.

Rex keep a badly injured team together and playing hard to the end, this despite the highest paid player trying to cause a mutiny .

  15. It's still January and I'm already sick of the Ryan twins

Next season is going to be a freaking disaster

    Based on what ?

Rex never had a offensive coach as good as Roman and if you look at the Roster Rex dealt with his last three years in New york it is a mircle he won as many as did

    2014 he had zero corners

2012 his wide outs were a joke

oh and the pesky qb thing
