    Looks pretty simple

    Chiefs

    Steelers

    Patriots

Texans and Colts (Division winner and 6 seed)

    Chargers

Even at 9-7 (that means winning in New England) the Bills wont get in.

Following the Sabres model of tanking and grabbing picks is the better route.  I know you can't really tank in football but a top 10 pick with a franchise quarterback and a solid defense puts the Bills in a great position to make a serious run in 1-3 years.

What does it say about Pegula ownership now that they have all but lost Key Bank and are basically renting an arena to even have a team play?  Then you turn around and see them performing massive lay offs of hospitality employees?  It makes me put on my loss prevention analyst cap; and say they are finically screwed.  Not really turning a profit and using third party vendors and sales to stay afloat it’s not a good model to follow.

  2. Pretty much done this season considering we have to play in New England.  Not getting my hopes up or even caring at this point.  Against elite Quarterbacks are defense sucks.  Below tier teams are the only reason why the defense padded its stats.

Wrong focus. This season with four games left is all about player development. If they win while doing that then fine.

Love how we are supposed to wave a white flag.  McDermott can take his maginot line crap somewhere else.

  3. So, in a winnable game what hurts most is knowing we are eliminated and not getting any better.  It’s trash to say next season will get better when a year removed from playoffs we completely dropped off the map.  Getting blown out by the Ravens and Chargers proves what good Coaching can do.  In my mind “the process” is snake oil at this point and time.  Adopting (kaizen) and who remembers the cultural shock involving Beam and Japanese ownership or who they tried to storehouse over orders and the fire which broke out?  So, that kind of micromanagement is basically hari-Kari according to Bushido.  As little cap room as we had; signing Murphy who resides on the IR over offense didn’t help at all.  With a $7.5 Million dollar cap hit adding onto it.  Had to check that out when someone told me he was on the cheap.  Anyone else want to defend the gas bags known as McDermott and Beane or do we get some McBeano for gas relief?

  4. We are out of the playoffs and don’t have to watch McBeane make asinine statements.  Like corporate culture trumps a winning strategy after the loss to the Chargers, along with how he could have Coached more physicality against the Colts, and or respecting the football against the Bears.  Gee, if McBeane supporters worship them this much maybe they could all smoke a joint together and sing three blind mice at the unemployment office.

  5. Hurts to watch and we gave up Nick O’Leary for this nominal “pro-bowler” (participation trophy winner from fans) McBeane are so smart for not benching him completely and keeping O’Leary.

It's hilarious, heartbreakingly sad and lovable all at once.
If i was not fan of Brian before this viewing ? and I most certainly was , I sure am now. endearing moment for me.

Josh Allen has been doing that as well.

Charles Clay is a nominal tight-end who was never clutch and never will be.  The sad part is DaBoll has talent and intelligence which Clay sadly will never have.

  6. What would have been the best result?  As it is Clay is a nominal cast off signed to such a huge contract that finding trade suitors would have been in our best interests and off loading it for draft capital with someone willing to absorb at least half of it.  We’ve got guys like Star, Murphy, and others getting beat out by undrafted and rotation guys who are hungrier for starting spots.  And, sadly we hitched wagons to them.  I have to learn not to be optimistic when the season starts.  Now, tied into our own dead money hit (next season) despite draft capital we are going to be hamstrung by this again!  Wonder if the process guys speak Tagolog and loved Driv3r.

Really? Beane, who was brought in by Coach McDermott,  is looking beyond McDermott?  And McDermott  isn’t staying for year three?

This is so far fetched I expected you to include aliens kidnapped some of our staff!

If it came down to saving his own skin or being tied to McDermott whose been blown out by those like Reich and Lynn of course Beane would work to save his own skin.  He’s not going into kaizen for seppuku of his own career with Sean.

I think people are giving Clay a little too much abuse.  He slipped.  Guys were slipping all day.

He should have anticipated and come closer.  He should have judged the trajectory of the pass better.

Maybe the equipment manager should have given them longer cleats.

Maybe he didn’t want longer cleats because longer cleats would be harder on his bad knees.

I have thought for about two years that he was over rated.  I hope an upgrade is one of the higher priorities for next year.

We had an upgrade in Nick O’Leary but he’s in Miami.  You know the process which is basically like seppuku for fans.

McDermott was going to stay loyal to Nate Peterman until he was either fired over it or Peterman got released.  The presser about having all confidence in the world as Beane was getting the paperwork ready to cut Nate kind of undermines McDermott in a good way.  If anything Beane realizes following Sean down the rabbit hole of letting O’Leary go after he beat out Clay as Nick did not fit his “process” means Beane is tired of Clappy the Repeater.

  9. McBeane let Nick O’Leary go after clutch plays.  Even though he beat out Clay it was experience over raw talent.  I guess clutch drops over keeping anyone close to clutch and having Kelvin who he wanted so badly to be tied around our salary cap neck as an anchor is worth it.  McDermott lacks the intellectualism, poise, and intelligence of Anthony Lynn, Frank Reich, and Tom Coughlin.  After watching him go off on Allen earlier this season and demand DaBoll slow down the rhythm passing practices it says a lot about how Allen’s development is being wasted if he had a Harbaugh it’s a different story.  After all staying loyal to Peterman with Beane wanting him gone says that McDermott isn’t staying for year three and Beane is looking at moving beyond him even if it means more moves behind his back and cutting or letting guys like Clay and Kelvin go.

...Cowher actually passed on Bflo.......the late RW actually threw "caution to the wind" and offered Cowher $10 mil/yr in the mid-2000's........Cowher was texting back and forth with Brandon....Cowhere's late wife wanted no part of living in Bflo.......besides, when the Carolina job opened up in Bill's back yard (big spread in North Carolina), he did not pursue it...the "booth" was warm 'n fuzzy....intellectually deficient ownership?.....once Pegula realized his gross mistake of hiring TrainWrecks, did he NOT eat MAJOR money to move beyond the gaffe?......

Although, Ralph opened up his wallet was not going to give Bill and whichever GM that wanted to come more power.  Considering what you call TrainWrecks brought in for talent McDermott really has bottomed out and his “talents” of veteran players like Kelvin and or trying to utilize Clay while letting Nick O’ Leary go has proved his lack of competitive genius.  If Clay fits the process and O’Leary making tough catches in the clutch didn’t, and beating out Clay as well didn’t; maybe it’s a difference in how Gase finds clutch players and McBeane lets them walk.

I wouldn’t take McCarthy but have zero faith in Clappy

If Jon Harbaugh came back I’d take him in a heart beat!  Or even if Mike Singletary came back from Memphis in the AAF to the NFL would bea great true defensive mind.  You think they would put up with a level of undisciplined play like this?

So I Googled Jeff Bingham.  You sure use the word 'intellectual' a lot for a guy who watches Rules of Engagement and reads Dilbert comic strips. This is all pointing towards you being a Pats fan trolling the Bills boards.

So, those who read Dilbert or watch Rules of Engagement are not allowed to read CS Lewis?  Or, Wurmbrand and Solzhenitsyn you want us to be knuckle dragging?  In a stereotypically biased view of others class; go on, just watching you prove how much pomp, circumstance, and or class and caste can kiss my arse.

Look in the mirror all the people actually debating this.  The hell is wrong with you. You really crave the little red number in the top right with how many people agree with you so much that you would stoop yourselves to this level?!

I’m watching them mock me as an immigrant, and how intellectually I should not be watching but Rules of Engagement.  I’m that old combination of German-Irish and my Pop is from Buffalo and we are all Bills fans in Maine.  Mum is from Mass and is as well so there you go.

    Lynn - Philips Rivers

    Reich - Andrew Luck

McDermott- 7 Games with Josh Allen, 2 With Derek Anderson, 2 with Nate Peterman, 1 with Matt Barkley

If not for a dropped pass yesterday this team had a shot at a winning record with THAT lining up at QB

Lynn and Reich are going to be good HC's. Mcdermott will too

These facts can be mutually exclusive

Lynn and Reich also know how to build offensive lines and Little Sean plays with his coloring books.  While, clapping along all the live long day.  Living in Maine Patriots fans now say it stands for Boy I Love Losing Season.  There is no optimism for this team anymore.  Developing talent and shipping it off to larger markets yeah; what they know is for.

  14. So we miss the playoffs are sitting well below five hundred.  Again we hear the same lines since Canned Chan Gailey on how well developed players are.  Going from ending a drought to wait until next season with blowout losses to Reich and Lynn who are intellectually worlds improved from McBeane with the records to show says something to me about how McDermott lacks intellectual competitiveness.

Lofton questioned the same thing on the air - said that Clay acted like he had to keep his feet in the end zone rather than come back more to the ball.

These plays and decisions happen in seconds and I will never say it is easy, but the general rule is if it hits you in the hands you should make the catch. I think Clay should go, not because I am mad at the player, but rather because his injuries keep him off the field too much and I would rather have the team develop or bring in a TE that Josh can build up some chemistry with and he is just not performing up to his contract/expectations.

Lofton also said that Clay had pretty much lost his job to Jason Croom and Logan Thomas.  Keeping around a bench warmer for pass protection and run blocking is about right for Below Buffalo.

  16. Nothing to get impressed by in McBeane anymore to go from playoffs to flop house.  I’m so glad we passed on Coughlin and Cowher for a Coach who believes corporate culture trumps winning.  Ownership is so intellectually deficient; we’ve found the real life Pointy Haired Bosses at this point.

You just said a few posts above that this defense was shredded.

Against real Quarterbacks they suck; meaning Luck, Rivers, Brady, Rodgers, and now Tannehill.  Only reason they rank highly is because they play well against terrible teams.  Record shows it, and a real Coach would’ve had his team still at playoff levels.  How many times do we hear how McDermott admits he didn’t have his team prepared?

In 13 seasons with Favre and then Rodgers under center, McCarthy has ONE SB ring to show for it. McD got us to the playoffs in his rookie HC season with Tyrod Taylor at QB.

By that logic in ending the drought and having an abysmal record without growth despite a talented defense and by being hamstrung by insistence upon Peterman shows a deceiving tendency; of any real growth.
