Apparently having health insurance will save your life.

Who knew? Clearly Chelsea Clinton THOUGHT she knew.

Except thats not exactly true, unless youre pushing the Obamacare narrative and carrying the progressive water that says government should magically provide health insurance to everyone.

Democrats continue to confuse health insurance with health care, which makes the Obamacare argument so damn annoying. Ok thats not entirely true, the idea of Obamacare is annoying all on its own, but the notion that having insurance means you automatically get care is pretty stupid too.

I wonder how much time, money, makeup, and Botox went into that glamour shot Chelsea attached to her Twitter® profile.

Wish granted. Thank god. Theon having a little PTSD there. Maybe Gendry will save him in his row boat.

Good call on Sam treating Jorah's greyscale.

Wide ranging episode and this season's going at a fast pace (a little too fast maybe). Think they could of stretched this season out another episode or two. The most confusing scene for me was Arya and Nymeria. When Arya said "It's not you" was she talking about herself and she's not the same person she was in season 1? Maybe she'll turn around South and get back to her kill list. Is Nymeria still pissed at her from making her leave in season 1 or is she the leader of her own pack of wolves (like in the book) and doesn't want to leave her territory?

Looks like Jon will finally meet Dany and it will be interesting to see if he bends the knee. It's amusing that it just suddenly occurred to Davos and Jon that dragons could be useful in fighting the Whitewalkers. Dany may be following in her father's footsteps into madness (does Jaime have to kill another Targaryen to save the kingdom?). You know Littlefinger has something cooked up his sleeve especially with Sansa being the temporary ruler of the North.

Arya / Nymeria: My guess is she was talking about herself and Nymeria. Both are hunters that can't just go back to the way things were.

Jon / Davos / Dragons: I don't think they just realized dragons could fight the Whitewalkers, it just wasn't an option. Until Dany landed Dragons were as plentiful in Westeros as Apache helicopters and napalm

Jon will not bend a knee

Dany is not going mad. She knows is in Westeros now and has to adapt her strategy play the game by house rules

I gotta say, I'm not loving Cersei's plan to attack the dragons. It looks basically like the Hobbit solution with a wind lance. Also, I know we get fewer episodes this season, but I thought they were supposed to be longer episodes.

Yeah I wasn't feeling that either. One flaw to that plan is living dragons have scales that may deflect any harpoons plus living bone is much stronger than fossilzed.

  3. Can I ask, what is Kodi? Can I safely Google it w/hitting the Deep Web? Will I be arrested?

No, not you. You're not allowed

I went to Wiki to get a clue, but left even more confused..... :(

Same here. I Googled and got "open source home theater"...I gave up.

Open source home theatre sums it up pretty well

Kodi started maybe 15 years or so as the XBox Media Centre. In your Googleing you may have run across the acronym XBMC

Back in the day everybody downloaded movies, pictures, and music to their PCs and laptops. Getting the content from your PC or laptop to your TV could be a challange so Microsoft came up with the idea of a centralized media centre. First with the short lived Windows Media Centre then as part of their gaming platform on the original XBox and onto the XBox360. The idea being your media is shared from your Windows based computer onto your home network and made available to your TV via the XBox

XBMC never really took off and the project was abandoned and Open Sourced. From there the Linux community took over and began the evolution from XBMC to Kodi.

Media could be stored on the computer that XBMC (later renamed Kodi) was running on, shared on your local network, or even on a remote server somewhere. Media could then be played back on your big screen TV via the Kodi interface

Then came The Cloud. Now you can watch TV on the internet. Go to your favorite TV network's website and get a live stream. Watch ESPN online. HBO. Porn sites. Video feeds everywhere

Instead of hooking up a laptop to your TV and watching it thru a web browser, Kodi provides a platform that centralizes your local media, shared media, remote media, and streams from the cloud

There are several official Kodi add ons to watch publicly available TV shows, movies, and live streams. Since Kodi is Open Source there are also a large number of "unofficial" add ons as well that tap into non-publicly available streams and media sources

These unofficial addons are what has made Kodi so popular the last few years

Kodi is available on Android, Apple IOS, Linux, Windows, Raspberry Pi, and I think the Mac fanboys have a port as well. Amazon FireTV/Firestick is a derivative of Android TV however it is not available on the Amazon app store. That said it is possible to install on FireTV/Firestick via a process known as sideloading. Unfortunately Kodi is not available on a Roku.

  4. I'm using Exodus now. Everything was updated in the last week. It runs through Polar (at least I think that's how it works). I watched a YouTube video.

Exodus has been having issues since TVAddons went dark because they were sued by Dish/Sling

There's supposed to be a 'replacement' to Exodus called Covenant maintained by the same development team. I haven't tried it yet.

I've been using SALTS lately (Stream All the Sources):

    https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-salts-stream-all-the-sources-for-xbmc-kodi/

  5. Thanks for doing this!! I am only about a week in on it and find it extremely difficult to navigate. The first few days were great as I watched Wonder Woman, downloaded WWE on Demand and started catching up on Gotham. I've found it to not work very well the last few days. I don't know if that's how it always is or if I just don't know what I am doing (probably the latter). Any advice that can be provided to a beginner is greatly appreciated!!

What addons are you using and when did you last update them?

  6. Kodi has been a frequent tangent in several recent TV related threads and the recent Amazon thread. And I've got a feeling will be a top of discussion on game day.

Kodi can be difficult to maneuver at first and even after you've grasped the basics finding content can be challenging.

So let's get a thread going to help folks get started and to share our favorite add-ons, repositories, and sources. Non-adult content only please.

  7. Poojer I gave up on Firestick and kodi. I have never been able to stream any pro sports feeds. 50/50 shot on movies at best. It's a hacked Firestick as well but I haven't tried to use it in months. I don't know what I'm missing but it's almost useless to me.

Did you install the following addons? SALTS and Exodus for movies/tv, and Sports devil, Castaway, and Pro Sports for sports?

  8. Well, yes. Unless you'd like to make the case that congress should pass unnecessary laws?

The proper argument to make is that we absolutely should have laws in place to protect the integrity of the franchise.

With that in mind we should conduct a thorough and comprehensive study of the issue, with the findings used to put laws in place.

And laws should sunset after 5 years or so.

If the law is truly necessary then there will be no problem renewing it
