  1. The show is horrendous IMO and there are some things that don't make sense at all...

    1. I still don't understand the dynamics of this family. Doesn't make sense to me. Would've been nice for a clearer explanation of things earlier in season 1.

    2. What happened to Nick's drug withdrawals? He went from being a non functional human without his drugs, to being perfectly fine in Mexico without his drugs.

    3. This show was supposed to cover what happened before and during the infections started happening. The downfall of society before everything went to hell, but it didn't cover any of that. Zombies shouldn't have been introduced until the end of season 1/beginning of season 2 IMO.

    4. NO ONE CARES ABOUT THESE CHARACTERS. There's no emotional attachments what so ever like there is Walking Dead.

    1. What do you not understand still?

    2. Yeah it sucks that they have apparently dropped that. I thought it was an interesting storyline that I guess just got dropped without being mentioned again.

    3. That's exactly what season one was. Showing the beginning of the outbreak. If they waited until season two to show a zombie I don't think anyone would be left watching the show.

    4. I think the characters have been very hit and miss. I like Nick, Alicia, Strand, and Daniel. I'm coming around on Travis. The rest? Not so much. I think they killed off Travis' ex wife too soon. I would have liked to see the dynamic of the three of them interacting within the group.

  2. I fastforwarded through most of the ep. Just don't really care anymore.

You may want to go back. It wasn't too bad. At least it seems like Travis finally understands that there's no hope for Chris. I'd love to see them part ways, Chris disappears for a couple of seasons, and reappears as a villain with his band of evil bro dudes.

  3. The more I think about UB football I've reached the conclusion that I don't think this is solely a UB problem either. If any one doubts that I encourage you to google MAC football attendance. It's not pretty for any of the teams in the conference. People love big events such as the NFL and major conference college ball. Mid major football will probably never excite the masses.

This is exactly the way I see it. I'm down here in Virginia and the local university ODU went from FCS to FBS. I thought it was a big mistake. As an FCS school they made the playoffs in their first year of eligibility and probably would have been a perennial contender for national championships. As an FBS school it's hard to get hyped to watch them play teams like UTEP and get blown out by teams like NC State. Just not very conducive to fan support when the best you can hope for is a 4 or 5 loss season and a berth in the Boca Raton Bowl or something stupid like that.

  4.

Guy creates a cult based on a lie. We've seen this story play out a million times in the real world. And I don't mean that to sound like I'm calling the show unoriginal. It may be the most realistic thing they've done so far.

I guess the message they're sending with this show is if it all goes to **** Mexico is going to turn into one big collection of cult compounds. Last night's episode had the characters behaving so stupid it really was annoying.

  5. Just started season 1 of American Horror Story. doesn't appear to be much love in this thread for it. It is simply amazing.

weird, scary, thought provoking, sexy at times, intense, etc. highly recommended.

I have loved that series from day one. Some seasons more than others, but each season has moments that make your jaw drop with how excellent they are. I was sold on that series right away when the kid was in the basement with the tennis ball and then it stopped bouncing. Great moment.

  6. Like it or not New Era Field is the new name. But if a new stadium is coming in less then 10 years why did they waste the money now? You're not going to use the same name twice. The only answer i can come up with is that in 10 years New Era wont be able to afford a long term name for the open air, grass field stadium that'll be built downtown near the waterfront.

I don't think you understand how stadium naming rights works.

  7. A sports economist says that the Raiders won't work in Las Vegas

Las Vegas would be one of the five smallest media markets in the NFL

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/a-sports-economist-says-that-the-raiders-wont-work-in-las-vegas/

The article really isn't very convincing. The market is plenty big. Additionally, Vegas just transcends your average TV market. It's going to be absolutely huge when the Raiders move there. Mark Davis really pulled a brilliant idea out of his bowl cut.

  8. Is it possible that maybe he doesn't want to sign a contract now? I don't know why people have this discussion every time there is a free agent to sign. I can't imagine why Taylor would sign a contract right now without at least dangling the possibility of his hitting the free market in front of the Bills. Taylor and his agent are in the driver's seat on this one.

  9. I just got an Asiago ranch chicken sandwich combo from Wendy's. It cost me over $10 to upgrade to the large size (and I added a small frosty for my son), and the sandwich and fries tasted like absolute crap.

I'd gladly fork over the extra 5 bucks for something that tastes as good as 5 Guys.

Yeah I'd rather eat at 7-11 than at Wendy's these days. Nothing good going on there. They used to be my favorite too.

  10. Hmmm ... I just did an online order for cheeseburger, little fries, regular drink from my local Five Guys and it came to $13.34 after taxes. Was $11.42 with the little bacon burger.

So then I did one for the Lynnhaven location in VA Beach (where RLB is) and I'll be dipped in schit, it came to about $18.

Sorry I doubted your employee, Ryan.

It's funny because I'm in Chesapeake, the next city over. I guess our local franchises are out of control.
