  1. What the heck happened to Luke? That was weird and scary, hope he is ok. Did he panic? Or lose his vision or something? Weird.

Really strange moment. Sometimes I lose sight of it, but after seeing the fear, confusion, and sadness in his eyes I was quickly reminded of just how intense this game can be.

  2. He is a really amazing guy. Steve Gleason is an icon in New Orleans. He attacks everything that he does and hasn't let this terrible disease slow him. He has made it his mission to raise awareness and money. The video diary to Rivers is inspiring and heartbreaking. Everyone should see this film and read up on Gleason. There are so many negative stories out there and this is the opposite.

Totally agree. It's been a rough week, and watching this put alot of things into perspective ... very inspirational guy.

  3. Has anyone gotten a chance to see this? My Wife and I rented through Amazon last night, and absolutely loved. Really, really touching story (bring tissues).

    From Rotten Tomatoes:

"The hit documentary from the 2016 Sundance Film Festival goes inside the life of Steve Gleason, the former New Orleans Saints defensive back who, at the age of 34, was diagnosed with ALS and given a life expectancy of two to five years. Weeks later, Gleason found out his wife, Michel, was expecting their first child. A video journal that began as a gift for his unborn son expands to chronicle Steve's determination to get his relationships in order, build a foundation to provide other ALS patients with purpose, and adapt to his declining physical condition-utilizing medical technologies that offer the means to live as fully as possible."

  4. Yup! Well, close ...

On October 25, 2015, after EJ threw what felt like his 48th pick of the game, I calmly took my EJ Chinese bootleg jersey off and proceeded to throw it outside on my patio. It has been there ever since, and I told my Wife that it would stay there until we enter the Playoffs ... pretty amazing how resilient the fabric is, though. It has sat through ALOT of terrible weather.

  5. Downtown would make sense if your making a weekend of it and want to Uber to Chipewa Saturday night. If you just want to be as close to the stadium as possible, there are a couple of crappy hotels around there with an econo Lodge, Red Roof Inn, etc.

The closest probably reasonable hotel is a Hampton Inn a few miles away. Your not close to night life, but that really should determine where you stay.

TorBuf is probably right as long as you either use Uber or have a DD. Just be safe.

I'm so lucky as my Dad is under 5 miles from the stadium in a small development behind the old Immaculata Girls HS. Sad as I heard it closed. I was a Frannys boy as was my brother and all of my cousins. My sisters and female cousins all went to Immaculata.

Have fun Mark. From your comment, sounds like your going to the Jets game. Our big trek up there is the following game for the Angry Birds.

Thanks! I moved to NYC about 10 years ago, but still make it to at least one home game a year. Also never miss a Bills/Jets game at Metlife!

  6. Hey guys!

(Apologies in advance if this has already been discussed somewhere. I searched around for a bit and couldn't find anything.)

I am going to be driving up to the home opener this year with a couple friends, and we are thinking about staying in a hotel near RWS, instead of crashing in Rochester the entire weekend.

In your experiences, what are the best places to stay near RWS? It doesn't need to be anything spectacular, but does need to be as close to the stadium as possible ...

Thanks in advance for your help! GO BILLS!!!
