....started his career with a pretty lousy set of circumstances in Bflo.....skill set and collegiate  body of work hardly equated to 1st round pick, with special thanks to Buddy Nix.....cannot discount work ethic but the kid had ZERO confidence at the NFL level.....he tried which is about as much as you can ask for......

I wish that I could've bombed out at a job, and walked away with several million $$$.

I was bit by a black widow spider on my finger while I was sleeping. I didn't even know I had been bit but noticed two puncture dots and some redness on my finger. I only found out it was a black widow because when I got up and was getting dressed it fell out of my hair and I captured it with a glass. I didn't get sick but ended up in the hospital overnight a few days later when a red line from an infection ran all the way up my arm and into my armpit. The doctor said I was lucky I came in, I almost didn't because it was getting late at night when I did. He said I could have lost my arm, or if it had got into my heart and organs my life.

Don't know what kind of spider that is but it's not a black widow.

That is a form of sepsis, which was called 'blood poisoning' in the past. You likely would been dead within a few days, had you not taken action.

Most insects are killed ingesting poison when they clean themselves and spiders don't clean themselves.    So spraying it just made him less popular with non-spiders.    Once you get them you gotta' manually crush em to get good results but the ortho bug barrier product does a good job of keeping them out.    I live in the woods along water and the frickin place would be totally cocooned if I didn't spray it every two months.     But the first time I had to manually kill about 1000 spiders including a bunch of these wolf spiders.

I cap 'em with my trusty Daisy® BB gun that I've owned for 60 years. Gotta bring some semblance of sport to the table!

  4. Recall who stole the Buffalo Braves. Still stinks. By the way, why is the NFL so against expanding?

The NFL's official position has been as follows:

    1. We want to return to the Los Angeles market.
    2. We want to have a team in London some day.
    3. We want our teams to stay in their existing markets.
    4. We do not want to expand.

Can't do all four. Wonder which position is BS?

The talent pool is already diluted to the point where the on field product is inferior. There are a few GREAT teams, and everyone else kinda sucks.

The NFL CAN'T expand W/O further diminishing the quality of the game. Personally, I think that's why we see such f'd up officiating nowadays throughout the league.

Refs throw flags to keep games competitive more often, than not.

  5.

I don't see anyone saying that, anywhere.

I personally think that Tyrod has made things happen that EJ, in his 15 starts, hasn't done. For example: EJ underthrew the ball on his INT to Hogan against Cinci--it was the same pass that Taylor hit against Tennessee to set up the game-winning TD. That's just a microcosm of the difference between the two IMO.

I also saw Tyrod rally the team to victory on the road when they needed him to against Tennessee. I realize that EJ was facing an uphill battle, and he played okay at times. He doesn't, to me, look like he can play at a level where he can win a game with his arm or legs like Tyrod did against Tennessee.

That, IMO, is the biggest difference.

EJ will throw a two yard pass when he needs 11. He is exasperating to watch. At least, Tyrod plays with HEART, and he makes things happen.

  6. Bungles 21, Bills 15

I want to pick the Bills to win at home, but too many injuries and question marks at this point in the season. I kind of always looked at this game as a loss on the schedule even before Cincy started 5-0, so just sticking with that.

If the Bills come out flat, as they have for the last 3 games, I say 52-17, Cincy.

If they come out swinging, they could very well win this game.

Suck it up guys. You can do it!

  7.

Yeah but there is far too much hand wringing from fans over one call here or there.

If you play back to...or down to....to your opponents level....the way the Titans did today......it's going to cost you some games eventually.

The thread about Jennings last week with the fake, photoshop job of his foot out of bounds was making people upset at refs days later.......when the reality was that the play happened because of a missed tackle and they really just didn't play well enough as a team to expect to win today.

If they did battle back to beat the Giants it would have been just as much of a pull-it-out-of-yourass job as today.

Did you see the TV commercial during the game today involving that play? FWIIW, his foot WAS out of bounds!

  8. I was traveling this week, so apologize for the lateness

The refs for this game were abysmal. Selective application of the rules, the unwillingness to call OBJ for anything, the missed and blown calls, just a ridiculously bad day for the zebras. Did it cost the Bills the game? No. Lining up over the center on a field goal will cost you the game. Fumbling while fighting for a few extra inches instead of going out of bounds will cost you the game. Completely losing your cool when you're getting jobbed will cost you the game. The refs suck, period. We have to suck it up and play.

    Excellent!

Thanks for your time, and trouble!

  9. I think it will be low scoring ...

    Bills 12, Titans 10

If Sammy plays I think we can move the ball more, but right now it looks like it will be tough with all the injuries vs Titans D.

We've definitely got the horses, but there is suddenly uncertainty about the Jockey.

    Titans 24

    Bills 17

    (sorry)

  10. We have a Honda CRV 2003 with 175,000 miles on it. As I was driving today the transmission slipped and never came back to work, my guess, rebuild in the near future, $2500. So the question is, rebuild or cut bait?

We don't drive that much, we have one car, and I have always been of the mindset of repairing as a better fiscal option to buying another vehicle either used or new- at the end of the day, drive it till it falls apart. I take excellent care of vehicles, part of the reason why they tend to last a long time..

So, repair or move on? The rebuild comes warranted, and and we're already saving a bunch by ditching our other vehicle.

    Give me your thoughts.

This is old, but I would look into it:
