  1. I realize that a position coach isn't the biggest deal, but he was a guy we had big expectations of with respect to the position group we need improvement from most (outside of QB). I'll just be really disappointed if the FO makes a move like this that compromises winning for the sake of PR.

And let's be honest, as far as PR hits go this is pretty minor. Only the most self-righteous of moralizers are going to give a !@#$ about this story once the season starts.

Yeah, who cares if we have a coach who thinks its okay to punch kids in the face and ( allegedly ) threaten to kill their families because of a few chairs. As long as he can help us win, that's the important thing.

  2. Considering how he talked to his ex during the infamous twitter battle he had with her, and the party bus incident, rude and misogynistic behavior towards women on staff at the restaurant doesn't sound too unbelievable at all. McCoy doesn't have the greatest history as a person. Anyone expecting him to be a model citizen is going to be greatly disappointed. He always manages to find himself in the news, and it's usually for acting like a punk. Even this offseason after getting traded, he still continued to show a lot of immaturity. Really didn't do much at all to hide the fact that he hates that he was traded to the Bills.

  3. lol The Infirmary! But I read somewhere that Chip has this training program that accelerates recovery or prevents injury or something ... Sorry no link because I don't know where I saw ( prob. Twitter) but it referenced Maclin having a great year after tearing ACL

Sports science. Might as well read up on it now, because it's only a matter of time before every team is using a similar training program. Everything from proper diet and getting enough sleep at night to creating individualized training programs based on data they get from different monitors the players wear during practice.

  4. I think both teams will be better because of the trade. Not sure why some feel it will make them less of a fan if they admit that. You don't have to tear down other teams in order to build yours up. Sometimes it's good trade for both teams.

Anyone else think this is kinda cheesy? My favorite athlete, Jeter, worked hard to not get photographed. And he was dating top of the line women.

McCoy seems like a dude who throws money around and passes out his football card to girls. Then he takes selfies with them. Reeks of insecurity. That said, as long as he backs it up on the field, who cares? :)

Hopefully he's learned his lesson about putting the raincoat on. Otherwise his lifestyle will soon catch up to him again.

  5. Homerism? Because we'd call for the professional ruination of a man over a potential misdemeanor if he wasn't employed by the Bills? ok. And I was a giant Strawman guy even though I'm a Braves fan, but I don't know what that has to do with this discussion.

But it's nice to meet you too.

If it was anything other than self defense, and he really did punch a kid, throw his fishing pole in the water, and threaten to kill the kid's family all over some silly beach chairs, then yes, the Bills need to fire him. If you don't think so, then something is seriously wrong with you.

  6. Exactly. There are 1000 things the kids could have said in a heated exchange. The kid could have said, "Next time I ain't coming for your beach chairs I'm coming for your B word of a daughter." And Kromer then says, "Do and I'll kill you. I'll kill your whole family."

lol. Yeah, ok. And which one of those "1000 things" do you think was said that made Aaron's son feel he needed to stick around and help these little terrorists find their fishing pole? C'mon now. smiley-laughing009.gif

  7. This is going to get pled down to a fine and community service. No jail time. Kinda sucks he is going to likely get fired over this. Can't think of many jobs where you would get fired over a plea deal to a misdemeanor...

Seriously? Because I can't think of too many employers who would want to keep a guy who's in his 40's that punched a kid in the face, threw his fishing pole in the water, and possibly threatened to kill the kid's family, all over some beach chairs. And definitely not an employer that depends on people, most of whom have kids and grand kids of their own, to buy tickets and merchandise to keep profits rolling in.

  8. unless Murray is running behind last year's Eagle OL, I'm not sure the 2014 PFF ranking matters.

Just sayin that anyone expecting a huge dropoff in run blocking for Murray next season probably shouldn't bet money on it. What concerns me after seeing those rankings is why McCoy wasn't able to put up better numbers than he did. Not that they were terrible or anything, but I would have expected better for a "top 5" RB running behind a top ranked run blocking line.

  9. Murray was a product of his OL, the best in the NFL right now. You will see it on full display when his numbers dip way down this year, especially taking hand-offs from Bradford or Sanchez or Tebow. There's no Dez or Jason Witten around him either. That Dallas OL can make McFadden or the underwear thief look like a monster if they can stay healthy.

According to profootballfocus.com, it was McCoy who was running behind the best run blocking unit last year, so I wouldn't put money on Murray having too much of a dropoff this season.

  10. None of us have seen Kiko play since his second ACL injury to the same knee. Is he 100%? Will he be able to get back to the same level? Assuming he comes back at 100% is hopeful at a minimum.

Ryan Matthews hasn't been able to stay healthy for his whole career so assuming that he will be healthy this year is again, hopeful.

Yeah, I think Chip Kelly has a lot of faith in his sports science program to get guys healthy. Which, I have to admit, seems to be working for the most part. Worked wonders for Jeremy Maclin last year anyway. He was coming off his second ACL tear in the same knee and had a great year.

  11. Well, McCoy avoids contact like the plague, so I guess he does have that going for him. His body isn't as beaten up as Murray's. But McCoy relies on speed and elusiveness to get his yards. When guys like that start to lose a step, the fall is usually hard and fast.

Guess it all depends on what kind of offense you want to run. If it's a ground and pound style offense, Murray is my choice every time. But if it's more a west coast offense where the RB will be catching the ball a lot too, I'd go with McCoy easily. He's deadly in open space and makes guys miss.

Kiko plus Murray is greater than Shady. The eagles improved their team. So did the Bills.

They were also able to sign Ryan Mathews because of the McCoy trade. They now have a young stud linebacker and the scariest rb corp in the league because of that trade. Not bad at all.

  12. the true story is the Kromers boy popped him for mouthing off to his Dad. Dad of course going to take the" hit" for the punch. If Aaron hit him it would not be a mark. his clock would have been cleaned. this is why the kid was trying to make amends. No adult says something like that. alcohol or not. thats an insane set of words. everyone knows that , right? "Kill your family" is not a drunken or angry statement. Its very unstable behaviour. the cops would have kept him for evaluation. so it was probably an exaggeration either by the kids or the kids Pops who was probably freaking out

Mark my word folks. I have been watching his whole event and read every note posted. The Big Kromer is covering for his son.

and the kidses dad is still trying to figure out wtf did i get into

The cops would quickly find out if he's covering for his son or not after interviewing the kids who were assaulted. The cops separate everybody involved until they get stories that start to match up and make sense. The cops aren't going to take dad to jail if the assaulted kids are saying it was the other guy who did the punching. Doesn't work that way.
