That was better than Jack in 86, one of the greatest personal achievements, both men, in sports

    never give up!!

    Understood

most women in my life still despise him...

Man that is a tough call on Jack's win vs Tiger's. I can't pick one over the other.

Ali over Foreman might be #1

US hockey winning gold in Lake Placid

Foreman winning the heavyweight title again against Michael Moorer

Who doesn't root for these moments?

If you want to be consistent with your judgement of others, you should throw away your television. The vast majority of athletes, politicians, actors, and actresses are banging everything they can.

I care about the Patriots two days a year and only in the sense that they are the opponent.

Not to say I'm not interested in what they're doing and who they're signing. Just that I don't have any emotional investment in their failure. At the end of the day, I only care about what the Bills do.

I'm also a Michigan fan and don't give a **** about Ohio State other than that one day a year. Why give the opposition such respect? They don't even matter.

It is way more fun to hate than be indifferent.

  4. Not a bad signing for the Pats. Jenkins is a veteran that has some red zone ability. This is a good under the radar move for them.

On a side note: Gronk had a poor year receiving by his standards but he was still above average for the league. He also made a huge impact with his blocking in the run game.  As hobbled as he was, the guy is irreplaceable. The catch he made in the Superbowl was everything in that game and I don't think many other TEs make that play.

I do wish it were true. He was just slightly better in every way. Sux

I think Faulk has him everywhere. Yards, rings, tds, catching yard passing yards.  I hate it. Loved Thurman

Different era of football. Forget the yards for a second and tell me if you think Faulk was ever the guy that carried those Rams teams. As a Bills fan, I often felt that Thurman was the most important piece. I think the greatest show on turf was easily the most talented offense ever assembled. Faulk was awesome but his stats are inflated.

Nope, couldn’t. It hurts to say but Marshall Faulk was simply a better version of Thurman Thomas....

Wow I couldn't disagree more! I just said compared the two with work buddies last week. I made the same statement in reverse. Difference of opinion is all, both were outstanding.

He’s a WR who is replaceable. There are plenty of 5’10” fast guys.

I respectfully disagree with you on this. I'm not advocating they keep him if the allegations are true but he isn't replaceable. I think he is actually one of the least replaceable players in the NFL. I can't think of a single other player with his level of separation.

Too bad he can't keep his hands off people

I wonder how much cooperation the police get at this point. $$$ can change people's memories and muck up investigations. The scramble to mask the truth has to be in motion right now.

  8. I was a kid in the late 80s - early 90s and spent insane amounts of time outside. Like many posters have already said it was a sun up until sun down routine. We could literally be anywhere too. My parents wouldn't have been able to find us if they tried. Whether it was the train tracks, or any number of woods, or a bike ride into town .....we were gone. Honestly we wanted nothing more than to be away from our parents.

Now I am the parent of 3 kids and I can't imagine letting them do anything like that. They love going outside and they can go to friends houses in the neighborhood but nothing like we did. I would say that they are on the high end of outside time for their peers. I would lose it if they rode their bikes to the next town over though. I honestly think I had too much wiggle room as a kid but it was all the kids in the neighborhood. Huge packs of us and that doesn't exist too much anymore.

  9. The judicial system failed society again and MSU is just another example of college athletics being a cesspool.

MSU was convinced he was safe to put on campus with other college kids because they spoke with his family and friends?  They seem like a credible source for his mental and moral upswing over the last few seasons.

College football is the biggest problem. They are far more corrupt and disgusting than the NFL.

....could be right.....no charges filed so the police are out.....Chiefs questioned him but he lied.....have no idea what the NFL knew when or if at all......

The fact that no one supposedly saw the video is strange to me. The police claim they didn't review it because it was a misdemeanor. Really? They can't be bothered to fact check and watch the video for 5 minutes?  The NFL conducted an investigation that didn't include an interview with Hunt or the woman. Sounds like they were really interested in what happened. The Chiefs reportedly had a conversation with Hunt about whether charges were filed and then it was a dead issue.

No one cared until the video surfaced and then the spinning begins.

...I wouldn't bother....the fact that he originally lied to the Chiefs when questioned is enough for me....tell the truth and this doesn't unravel to where it is today IMO....the truth maybe gets an in-house one or two game "conduct detrimental" suspension...now he's cut and facing six.....not too smart...

Honestly I find it hard to believe that the NFL, Chiefs, and police were so in the dark on what happened. If they were in the dark it was because they wanted to be. I doubt some kid totally fooled everyone.
