  1. They had the Towers of Light on last night. I was walking outside around 10pm in Brooklyn and looked up and it was so cool. 2 HUGE beams of light shining up into the sky from ground zero, about 20 min away.

    They'll be on tonight too.

  2. I woke up at 6am this morning. My morning to sleep in.

I am simply too fired up and excited for this season and will not be able to sleep well until after the game is over tomorrow, and even that will require 1000 beers!!

The season is 27 hours away!

    LETS GO BUFFALO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. So, I am back today from my vacation to Buffalo, Rochester, Ithaca, and London. I did some sightseeing in Buffalo and was VERY disappointed in Buffalo's tourism. We stopped at the Clarence exit on I-90 and their busy tourism section didn't have ONE MAP of downtown Buffalo or any info about it, only Niagara stuff! I was amazed. The Wilcox Museum was a huge let-down, and nothing was open since it was Monday.

Anyways..the one highlight was the Anchor Bar. Everybody has told me how over-rated they are and its a tourist trap. Well, I think you're NUTS! The wings were amazing!

They were the biggest wings I've ever seen. The outside was crsipy and the inside was juicy they way they are supposed to be. The sauce was excellent, I had medium and they it was just hot/spicy enough with excellent taste.

By far the best batch of wings I've ever had..and yes, I've had Duffs, Ricks, Big Tree, and several other well known wing places.

  4. Go down Elmwood Ave and walk into Casa di Pizza. They have the best wings in town in my opinion (ask for them extra crispy). Also, Elmwood will give many options of things to do.

Anchor Bar is a great "novelty stop" but they certainly do not have the best wings in town.

yeah...i know...anchor bar wings aren't the best...but i must bring the fiance there to offer them the due praise for inventing the greatest football snack known to man.

  5. On Monday, the fiance and I will be doing a 1-day tour of downtown Buffalo. As of now, this is what we are doing:

    1) going to the Wilcox Museum to see where Teddy Roosevelt was sworn in

    2) headin 3 blocks over to the Anchor Bar for wings

    3) Drive past the Frank Lloyd Wright house (closed on Mondays)

    4) Head over and check out the broadway market

We might also drive over to Deleware Park and Forest Lawn Cemetery if we have time.

I'm from OP and don't know Buffalo all that well. The fiance has been to Buffalo but never downtown. Does this sound like a good first tour?

  6. Hello? We lost our 3rd string QB, that probably wouldn't have played a down this year, for half the season. It is not such a serious injury that he can't bounce back from it. If anything, this will force him to learn to slide and be safer on the field.

Miami lost their starting running back and wide receiver, and don't have a clear starter at QB. They also just lost their starting defensive end.

    Chill out for christ sakes!
