I disagree about not having a chip on his shoulder.  Again I'll point-out the interview prior to the Broncos game where he was asked about growing-up close to the area and he said, unsolicitedly, "they could have taken me at 5."

My take:  he does have a chip and he loves to play well and prove people wrong.  He is humble and extremely grateful for the opportunity Buffalo (McBeane) gave him.

  2. Guilty as well.  I truly enjoyed the watching the players have fun doing it.   They are aware of the frustration that Belicheat has caused us fans.  The Bill's players tonight we also giggling like school girls.

Glad ESPN did the short lead in prior to kick off stating Belicheat is "not buying the Josh Allen hype ".

    Thank you ESPN!  Thank you.

  3. Personally,  I could care less about MVP.  All indications are that Josh is aware of his position and I am very grateful that he appears to be mature beyond his age.  I hope that he stays focused.

The accolades will be there if he does.

To me, Mahomes has not been playing well the last 3-4 weeks.  I thought he was horrible at his reads today.  I hope that trend continues.

I feel that our D is really coming together right now and could really be the X factor in a battle vs the chiefs. I don’t see them being able to do what they did to us earlier and I don’t expect Allen to play like he did in that matchup.

that’s part of becoming the best though. Coming up with great performances against the best teams.

right now, I feel as if we’re going to win the SB.  We’re firing on all cylinders and Josh is playing at an incredibly high level.

    I disagree.

That is not part of being the best.

The only way that either Qb will become the best is the the TEAM  surrounding either QB plays a  complete game.

Neither QB will win anything by themselves.

But I think that you are beginning to understand my original point. 🍺

So who’s the best if not Mahomes?   While my reading comprehension may be lacking, I have a pretty good memory.  I can’t recall anyone throwing, catching and blocking in the past.

Let me guess.....there isn’t a best. Everyone is equal because it’s a TEAM sport.

Mahomes is the best right now.  His team is part of the reason why.

Right now  Mahomes and Allen are both playing great.  I am not going to try and predict which one will come out on top this year.

Right now I believe Allen is playing slightly better than Mahomes.

However,  it is a team sport and there are many variables as to which team will come out on top of the AFC.

    What say you?

You can ONLY talk about what has happened.  No one cares about “what if”. It’s a desperate plea.

Mahomes is mvp and Sb champ.  He’s the best.  If Josh wants to be the best, he has to beat the best. Then we can talk about Josh being the best.  Til then, no one should expect anyone to anoint him as good as Mahomes because he’s won some regular season games.

    You totally missed my point.

    That's why I stated that I agreed .

I can not teach you how to read or comprehend the words and will not try.

Mahomes had a better team from the start.

When Mahomes starts throwing the passes and catching them passes all while blocking for himself, then I will say that he is the best.

It is and always will be a TEAM sport.

Mahomes has been on a better TEAM.

I tend to believe that at this point in time,  Buffalo is trending in the right direction and will give KC more than they can handle barring any key injuries.

In 2020, being compared as a second to Paddy Mahomes...is NO slag.

Mahomes is #163 All Time in Passing Yards- > 13,000 & #127 in TDs with 109. He is 36-8 in 3 years and has won a SB! THIRTY SIX AND EIGHT + A SB!

    No slag there.

We hope that Allen will be as great!

I tend to agree however,  I never understood the one  is better than the other arguments.   It is a TEAM sport.  Just absolutely so friggin stupid.  Would Allen be 38-6 (or better) if Diggs and the team was where they are now  when Allen was drafted?  We will never know.   What would Mahomes record be if he played for the Bill's over the last three seasons?  We will never know and as I said previously.. it is a TEAM sport.

Thankfully  coach McDermott knows this, and is obvious by his comments that Josh is aware that it's not about his record or stats vs Mahomes or any of the other BS that fans and media spew.

    Smfh.

  8. I

People... please.  Enough.  This is as dumb as the Lebron > Jordan debate.  You can create whatever points and counter points all day for whatever side you want.   The reality is that Josh is Our  QB and he is playing great going into the playoffs.  I hope that all the National media

Keep him out of the MVP discussion and it motivates Josh to prove them all wrong.   He is mature beyond his age and has made strides and improvements in his play that I have never seen before.  Let him continue to be hungry and continue to hone his skill.  I could care less about a meaningless debate at this point.

Enjoy the win, prepare  for the next game, stay humble, and hungry!

I mean who even does things like this I don't even.

PFF is garbage.  Pure trash.  Now they are going to want to take notice.  Josh has made more strides and improvements than any QB in my memory.

I seriously despise all of the pundits who have failed to credit this team for their improvements and now want to jump on the wagon.

Poor Dominique Foxworth, he had nothing to smile about today.

Yeah.. I feel bad for him and the other highly racist Keyshawn.   I was boycotting that garbage "woke" network but I have to tune in Monday to see what lame excuses and shade they try to spew.

Out here in SoCal, K. Johnson, the former Cowboy and Jets WR seems to really despise the Bills. We'll see what he has to say this morning

Key is definitely a hater likely because he was saying earlier in the season that C. Newton and the Pat's were going to be good and could win the division because J. Allen was no good.

I personally think most of his takes are racially biased.

I miss Golic .. not so much Wingo.

Nix thought he could get Wilson in the beginning of the 4th.  He was wrong.  And that makes me wonder how smart GMs are about other GMs on draft day.

Let me explain with a military analogy.  Army intelligence guys & gals are not spies - not James Bond types like you see in the movies.  Their expertise is the enemy.  For example, if we're thinking about invading a foreign country, the intel guys will tell us how they'll fight and what they'll fight with.  They know about force strength, weaponry, tactics, logistics, and so on.  We'll even sit down and do wargames on a big map board reviewing different scenarios and decision trees.  While most of the officers involved in an exercise like this will play our side, the intel guys will play the enemy.

I wonder if NFL GMs do something like this.  How much do they wargame the draft?  How much do the study their enemy (the other 31 GMs) in order to anticipate their moves?  If Nix had understood the Seahawks a little better, he could have gone for Wilson in the 3rd.

NFL teams ought to have intel guys on staff who are experts on our enemies.

My original title actually mimicked the title of the article I was referencing. But I changed it - just for you - to make it a bit clearer.

As a former  military intelligence analyst,  (26 years) I  get what you are saying.  I have also wondered the same.   I  believe that they attempt to predict others needs vs. Bpa. But don't much beyond that and pattern or trend analysis.

It certainly would be interesting to observe those pre draft meetings.
