I trust Frazier/McDermott against young inexperienced QBs……not at all scared of Mac Jones and his 13 TD passes in 10 games in which 3 of them just came against the Browns.

Not taking anything away from Mac Jones, but if he was putting up these same stats for any team other than the Pats he wouldn’t be getting near the hype. It’s not like he’s lighting up the NFL……he’s avg 233 yards and 1.3 touchdowns a game.

I think we'll have a better idea of who Mac is after the Monday nighter in Buffalo.  He's going to experience a truly hostile road game, in an amped up stadium, if he plays well in our house I'll be shocked.  We all know tough division games are another level of intensity.

  2. Thing is, after saying he was immunized he said ""You know, there's a lot of conversation around it, around the league, and a lot of guys who have made statements and not made statements, owners who have made statements," Rodgers said at the time. "There's guys on the team that haven't been vaccinated. I think it's a personal decision. I'm not going to judge those guys." *

    He clearly attempted to deceive.

*According to ESPN's report on this

They'll probably play us very tough to start but if we can pile up some touchdowns I think they'll collapse pretty quickly.

Wonder if they go a similar route to what Detroit tried on Sunday, pull out all the trick plays, go for it on 4th downs.  They have nothing to lose at this point.

Football morning in American column is always a good read.

Figured Peter King would be discussing the Bills this week and he did.

Good article, I like this one
"Playing crazy had its drawbacks for Allen in year one and two. “Back in the day,” he told me in camp, “I tried to play pissed off on the field and I found myself not playing very well, tensed up . . . Now, [I’ll do] small things like listening to calming music pregame, to not be so hyped and anxious for the game.”"

It could definitely be Tourette’s syndrome… ticks often get worse in high stress situations.  Can’t imagine a more stressful non-life or death situation than being an assistant coach AND Hoodie’s son in Brady’s return game, in what I imagined was the most watched regular season game ever.

Looks stressed out to me, nervous ticks galore.

Hey guys, just wanted to bump this thread to double check.

Me and my friend are coming from about 4 hours east of Buffalo for the Texans game next Sunday.

We decided to come Saturday and just get a hotel, so we could get an early start to the game from more locally to Orchard Park.

We decided to stay in Niagara Falls (Canadian side) thought it would be kinda cool.

Just trying to double check with anybody who might know, we can now get through, right? The stipulations are that you need a negative covid test within 72 hours, which we will get on Thursday. We are both vaccinated.

Are we good to both get into Canada, where our hotel is, and even more importantly to get back into the US on Sunday morning?

If you are American you can cross in both directions, the US is not letting any Canadians across the land borders.

Canada requires the PCR test to cross (typically more money)

so the stadium will be at least those 6500 short of full?

Depends if people can resell their seats.  I haven't been able to sell mine for that one and I'm seeing a lot of posts popping up with people trying to sell.  Usually lowering prices works but seats are already down to the $70 range on the ticket exchange.  Pretty sad if tickets won't move for an October home game at that price.

Erie County is 65% vaccinated (NYS 70%).

That is 2 vaccinated people for every unvaccinated person.

That means there are at least 1400 fans waiting to replace those 700 (if not more like 14,000).

The ideas that there are equal "sides" to this, and that this policy is affecting a lot of people, and that the Bills will have trouble filling the stands, is laughable.

74.3% in the 18+ population (NYS) and that's the majority of the age group that goes to games.
These games are basically sold out, we're really talking about the resale market at this point... probably until December/January games and they don't usually sell out.

I absolutely HATE the border thing, and you make a very good point. That would SUCK!

Do those seats not still end up getting filled in some way to a large extent?

The opener came close to selling out (97%) so most of them sold.  I'm not sure if the WFT tickets will sell out* because the mandate adds a wrinkle that might stop another 10 - 15% of fans from going.  With 10 - 15% of the seats not being filled by Canadians and 10 - 15% of the seats not being filled by the unvaccinated at some point you're noticeably going to see empty seats.

*sell out isn't really the right term, the seats are sold but will they resell or be empty

Read a few articles about over 700 season ticket holders requesting refund before the deadline. I’m wondering if there’s enough time for the jabbed to fill in the gaps. A quick look on Ticketmaster looks like the resale tickets in particular have come down in price from when I was looking for mine.

The Steelers game according to ESPN had 97% attendance and didn’t have the requirement in place.

It's funny, no one wants to talk about the 6,500 Canadian season ticket holders who can't get over the border cause apparently we don't count, but I keep seeing threads pop up on Bills boards about the whopping 700+ who opted out.  700 will be noticed about as much as you noticed the missing 6,500.

But the massive influx of people starting around 10:45 through noon has made it difficult for regulars to actually enjoy their individual tailgates as well as the larger collective atmosphere.  And the level of intoxication of some of those late-arrivals sometimes makes for hostility.

Will I miss those things?  Not much.  But I will miss our Canadian brothers and sisters big time.

Was getting damn near impossible to get back to our spot some games after 10:30 and we're not the closest spot to Kenny by far.  Us Canadians are going to be missing you all big time.

I played many player and team props. Simple things like "will Josh Allen go over 21.5 completions?" Duh, yeah! Or "will the Bills score more than 13.5 in the first half?"

Cleaned up last year on shortest touchdown under 1.5 yards bets.  Look for a potential high scoring game and a decent RB.

Looking for a little help here - I'm in one of the states that legalized online gambling, and we're getting inundated with promo offers from the big sites - Draft Kings, Caesar's, etc). I usually just do a little fun wagering when I'm in Vegas, but there's free money out there now so I'm ready to take the plunge. Example: Caesar's offer is "Bet up to $5,000 risk free." The small print: place a bet up to 5K. If you win, fine. Cash out. If you lose, we credit your account with the amount of the bet (up to 5K!). You can't cash that out, but you can place new bets and, if they win, cash out then.

I'd read all fine print and disclaimers around this point "If you lose, we credit your account with the amount of the bet (up to 5K!). You can't cash that out, but you can place new bets and, if they win, cash out then."

In the world of this lifelong gambler that is to good to be true and if it is true then get on it.  Make sure there is no rule around needing to bet this amount X times over before you can start cashing out, or that the odds on the second bet must be longer than 1.5 - 1 etc...

It seems that he has a bigger issue with it this year because vaccinated players don't have to follow the same rules as the unvaccinated.

He actually has a good point to make, but he's not making it well and he strays from the point too often.

If an unvaccinated player and vaccinated player can both make another player sick then everyone should wear masks and follow the same protocol if the goal is to keep everyone healthy.  That's his point, and on that point I think he's right.

Some of you guys are hilarious. No one we are talking about is getting cut. McBeane isn’t going to blow up the locker room by cutting Bease to send this message. Never going to happen.

Agreed, but if Beasley starts slow and has some uncharacteristic drops the spotlight and pressure are going to be dialed up to 100.
