  1. I've given TD the benefit of the doubt, but I stand by my pre-draft choices. 2001: I can't argue with TD's choices, and I was happy on draft day. 2002: High top 5 pick- you don't take a RT at #4. My picks (pre-draft): B. McKinney L. Tripplett I was not impressed with Denney in college, my pick was Seth McKinney 2003: The McGahee pick was a homerun....a high risk/high reward pick My picks: E. Steinbach C. Kelsey 2004: I can't believe Jax was so wed to pick Reggie Williams that the price to move up for Big Ben was prohibitive. I would have given a 1,2,&3 to move up. If not, Will Smith although it turns out Lee Evans was a need pick Julius Jones or Jake Grove Matt Schaub (3rd round or move up to end of 2nd) It was fun to look back at past draft guides for my pre-draft wish lists. For 2006...... play JP and draft D'Brick.
  2. C'mon Campbell, get your slow a$$ out of the way!!!!
  3. I still stand by my preferences of McKinney in the 1st and Larry Tripplett in the 2nd.
  4. No question... Matt's (Beer Ball). Tastes like sand.
  5. Actually, that second question (#11) is the hardest on the test. Solve for y (number of small type pages): 1800x + 2400y=48,000 divide by 600 3x + 4y= 80 , x + y=21 so x=21-y 3( 21-y ) + 4y=80 63 - 3y +4y= 80 y = 17
  6. I still have my blue pants with kelly green buffalos...doubt they still fit. What's so hard about saying roast beef on WICK? I miss Bailos! The Bills or Sabres will win in my lifetime...please...
  7. On the whole, I think TD has done an excellent job wheeling and dealing on draft day. Some things I wish he had done differently (not hindsight since I was advocating these moves before the fact): 1. I don't criticize TD for giving up a #1 for Bledsoe. What I do take issue with is extending his contract and taking the big cap hit now. Remember, this was done after 1 1/2 seasons of questionable play. He should have not given the 7M spring bonus(which was obviously not given when the new contract was negotiated) and let DB play out the year. We could have let Drew walk this year and saved a lot in dead cap money. 2. Why wasn't Winfield at least transition tagged? Given the market, we could have played the jets against the Vikings against others for at least a 3rd round pick or more. The tag could have been removed at any time and the likelihood that AW would have signed the tender with no upfront bonus money was slim to none. Again, a no lose scenario. Again, on the whole TD has done a good job. But every time I see the Bledsoe dead cap number, I wonder if that $$ couldn't have been used to keep Pat Williams or extend Clements.
  8. We had the Erie county Legislature with a staff of 90. That's NINETY! I don't know if Tony Blair has a staff that large. Niagara County gets by with 3 secretaries for the entire board.
  9. The external jugular is the smaller of the two and is superficial to one of the thicker neck muscles (the sternocleidomastoid). The internal jugular is larger and much better protected next to the carotid artery (blood going to the brain and much higher flow). If I had to choose a larger vessel in the neck to have this happen to, I would pick the external jugular since it's lower flow (relatively), not all that important, and can be more easily slowed with direct pressure against the muscle. Fortunately, that is exactly how their quick thinking trainer handled things.
