I was a lit.tle surprised we didn’t even workout Fournette.  Not that he’s a world beater, but he may fit a role.  I don’t know enough about Ty Johnson

I heard Fournette was going to come in for a visit.  He did not.  If I am guessing, as Ty Johnson was on our practice squad, and we were going to bring Fournette in for a visit.  Maybe another team was looking at moving Ty Johnson to their 53 and he chose to be elevated to the Bills 53 (maybe for less money?).  So, we didn't bring in Fournette.

Regardless, I would think/guess Fournette would come in for a visit next week or soon.

This is all my personal speculation, fyi.

I'll just say this, if Ingram is activated instead of Elam, then we know that there is a SERIOUS problem there. Hopefully that won't be the case.

Agreed, that is the very interesting question.  Ingram comes highly regarded after training camp.  But, shouldn't jump Elam on the depth chart, but, it would not surprise me.  Ingram is 6'2" also which is an additional positive attribute, just an fyi, I am not saying height is ultra important, just interesting.

I hope Elam can play in the NFL.  He did last year (and well most of the time), so, I think he can.  I also hope he was just outplayed by Dane Jackson and Benford thusly below them on the depth chart this year.  And, didn't dress because he didn't play special teams.

I hope Elam steps in as next man up and does a good job!  I think and hope he can.

    Go Bills!

As to the entire idea of this thread: Didn't we learn anything about the NFL yesterday? Last week, every talk show told us how unstoppable the fish were. The fish were already booking their tickets to Las Vegas. They were making room for the Lombardi trophy in their display case. And then a game happened.

One game at a time, people, and you better be ready to play every game.

Hmmmm? Who do we play next? Oh, yeah., the Jacksonville Jaguars. That vial you have in your mouth right now comes from the memory you tried to bury deep in your brain of the last time we played them. Never forget how awful this following sentence is:

We lost to an Urban Meyer's coached football team--he did not even last the season that year.

One game, one week at a time, people, one game at a time!

    I agree with you mostly.

But, last week with the Fish, that was the media pumping up storylines.  The media helps pump up narratives for Vegas to be successful.

But, yes, one game and week at a time.  Weekly matchups and preparation can change a game in a big way.

Hopefully the Bills defensive game plan has helped other teams learn how to slow down the Dolphins offense.

Jags next week is the toughest game. They have already been over here a week will be acclimatised. Bills only travel over late in the week. I am worried that will give them an advantage. Even though we are the better team. Get through next Sunday unscathed we are set for a nice little run through to the Eagles game.

    Agreed and agreed.

This week is Von watch.  I like where you’re head is at in 11-1.

I think the Bills should wait till after the Jags game to play Von.  No need to play overseas.  Start fresh the following week.

I don't think one equalises the other. I also think the Bills can get it done. But I think this will be a tough game.

    Agreed and agreed.

Block the front four, keep Josh under control.

Agreed with the excitement from the OP.  Also, agree if we can block Washington's DLine we should have a great day.  It will help Josh make good decisons.  Their DLine is very good though and hitting their stride.

I think we have a very good FO.

I am unsure about the HC

I have no issues with the Ownership

I agree with all 3 statements.

I will add Dorsey to the very unsure category.

I think Beane has built the best roster of his regime.  How short should the leash be on Dorsey?  If he can't get it done this year, I think they need to move on.  Learning to call plays in the NFL is hard and he has some glaring red flags that has me think he will not improve quick enough as we need him to.

With quite a few options on who they could have restructured I believe they got it right. I wouldn't want them kicking the can down the road on either Dawkins or White this year.

Agreed, great call and agree with Beane!

The 53 has to be under the cap as of last week. This week the PS counts.

We are tight, but, getting it done.

Germain Ifedi is now signed. We will now see if Anderson sticks. I don't know that we keep 10 OL or not.

Agreed that Anderson may go to the PS.  He is probably the 53rd player on the roster.

I don't know much about Anderson, but, IF the Bill really like him as a Center I could see them trying to keep him around till next year.

I agree.  The contract Mike Williams got from the Chargers made think of Gabe immediately.  If 20 mil is the price for a decent WR2, it's not happening here

Great comparison with Mike Williams and agreed that can't and won't happen in Buffalo.

We need Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, Trent Sherfield and Deonte Harty to step up their game so we know what we have in the future.  I think most can, but, not enough balls to go around consistently.
