Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Spiller.
-
You don't give an unproven coach total control of the a franchise.
Hackett has done nothing to show he deserves a job in the NFL.
Get rid of the croney, and bring in a real coordinator.
-
Don't forget about Brohm, Lewis, and Tuel!
It's been a bad 10 years.
FlutieJohnsonBledsoe was a paradise of QB talent compared to the last 10 years.
-
lets trade a 7th rounder for gronkowski

Not comparable situations. It was clear by half way through his last season there that the Colts were moving on from Manning, so yes at that point I could imagine him in Denver or wherever else. The reason? The Colts were headed for the 1st pick in a draft with a Manning like generational QB talent in Andrew Luck. Likewise in San Diego they had a 2nd overall draft pick on the roster ready to takeover from Brees. Those teams moved guys on because they had genuine back up plans. Even if the Saints felt like Mariota was a generational QB they are not in a position to get him so why move on Brees?
These moves do happen, they happen rarely and in special circumstances. It will not be happening with Drew Brees this offseason.
good post

The Bills and Browns are similar in the sense that they are perennial losers and look to remain that way for the foreseeable future.
Small market teams. Blue collar fans. Cold weather games. Haven't been good for 20 years or more.
Sister franchises.

The game was never close.
The Broncos were up 24-3 in the 4th quarter, and the Bills rattled up some garbage time stats.
The Bills defense played great today, but the offense did nothing when it still counted.

bad idea

The Batavia Dome makes a lot of sense. Great for Bills games and it can be used year round for major concerts and pull from both Buffalo and Rochester (kind of like Darien Lake does for summer concerts).
-
Maybe ESPN will show it as a MNF double header
-
i'd take Beckham Jr and a 1st round pick please
I would trade Sammy for Beckham+1st rounder, or Benjamin+1st, or Evans+1st.
Sammy may end up being the cream of the crop, but he's in no way differentiated himself as being worth DOUBLE compared to the rest of the guys.
-
I agree that this is a great rookie crop of receivers, I say that up front.
Benjamin can't carry Sammy's jock strap. He's got rocks for hands and has the football awareness of a toddler. He certainly has room to grow and could become a stud -- but he's a long ways from that now. I'd say outside of Sammy, the only real game-changers seem to be Evans and ODB. Though, ODB has too small of a sample size and Evans is riding a hot streak.
Evans is probably the receiver who's had to deal with the most adversity: flipping QBs constantly, new coach, a terrible team etc. Sammy's dealt with two QBs and two nagging injuries which have certainly impacted his numbers.
That's not really true about Benjamin. He's not as graceful, for sure. But he's 5 inches and 35 pounds heavier than Watkins, too. He's a much bigger bodied guy that is not elusive in the open field but can get some big up for grabs balls in traffic.
I like Sammy too, but to say Benjamin can't carry is jock is ridiculous.

1) yup
2) yup, but we won't get that qb this year so what better options are there going to be than riding with orton?
3) yup chandler sucks. they really have no big body targets in the passing game. think of dez or calvin climbing the ladder to go get the fade. think of gronk rumbling through the entire defense. you'd have hoped mike williams could contribute on this front but really they have NOTHING and this key part of their offense is totally absent. like, seriously, HOGAN is the guy? kind of like when people wanted to believe david nelson could play in this league?
4) yup
5) lol yup
6) yup
7) yup
8) you mean byrd?
9) yup if they had even mediocre play from the offense this team would be a legit playoff contender.
oh well. i guess the hope is the new ownership fires the gm and coach and everyone else and starts from scratch and maybe that turns into something in a few more years.
the usual.

They tend to start off with a good scripted series of early plays that have success, and then just get very repetitive and stagnant.

Two types of people in this world:
Those who blame it on the refs, and those who don't.

This is not a fantasy football advice forum.
Definitely not a smart fantasy manager if you don't know how to check NFL inactives, but inactives are released about 1.5 hours before kickoff for a game and you can google "NFL Inactives" to find the list.
Also you can use a site like rotoworld to get general information on your player at any time.

Does anyone remember when the FANS literally recruited Takeo? He signed in Buffalo as a direct result of a group of fans lobbying for him to sign at a game at the end of the previous year.
-
The Bills will win a few easy games over the next month and a half and get people excited and then go 1-3 in their last 4 games.
-
YES
thank you for sharing that link, im glad someone around here has an idea of the real issues with this team
you are next overdorf watch your back you putz

There is no such thing as a curse. Some franchises are just bad is all.

http://bills.buffalonews.com/2014/10/03/ralph-wilsons-gift-to-buffalo/
I missed this until today. Most of the proceeds from the sale of the team will go to his charity, NOT to his heirs.
I have talked lots of junk about Ralph being a bad owner but this is all class and obviously there is nothing but good things to be said about it.
This Year The Bills Were Better Than....

This Year The Bills Were Definitely Better Than:
Tampa
Tennessee
Jacksonville
Washington
Oakland
Jets
Chicago
This Year The Bills Were Probably Better Than:
Cleveland
St Louis
Atlanta
Giants
Minnesota
This Year The Bills Were At Least On Par With:
Miami
New Orleans
San Francisco
Carolina
Kansas City
Houston
San Diego
Even though this season feels disappointing, to be honest this is the best shape they've been in at the end of the season in a quite a while. I wanted more and they squandered their chances, but at least they are a cut above the likes of Jacksonville and Tampa - which hasn't always been the case.
