  1. This isn't a debatable point.

You can argue that EJ being poor is subjective, but his numbers say otherwise. So does his W-L.

I remember watching training camp Summer '14. EJ Manuel was better than Jeff Tuel at all things, except for reading the defense, which is the most important thing. EJ throws the ball with more velocity than Brady. Tyrod is a better runner than Brady. Drew Brees is more accurate than Brady (at least historically). But Brady is the best because of his mental processing.

  2.

    More useless passing completion stats.

The stats I LOVED - multiple passes deep to Sammy and scoring TD's in the 1st half

The stats I HATED - NOT passing deep to Sammy and scoring TD's in the 2nd half

If this was a 1st round rookie QB we would be giving him the key to the city....instead because he is "experienced rookie" its not good enough......go figure

And just because you choose to ignore him being in the top 5 of several NFL QB status doesnt make them useless......it makes your take worthless.

The stats I HATED even more were multiple fumbles.

Technically....if TT drops the ball and gets it back himself......its not a fumble

And why did EJ get brought up?

    Beats me

TT is playing not EJ. Please speculate on what you see on the field during the game each week.

This last week a saw a QB....on the road....in bad weather......against a top NFL defense......play well enough to win.

    Defense lost it.

22 points is well enough to win? Maybe in Buffalo. Or not.

  3. If you talk to almost any 49ers fan, you will hear from them that Greg Roman has a lot of flaws in his offense. The majority of them don't seem to miss him. And then we have Tyrod Taylor beating up on Miami twice as well as other teams that didn't bring their A games that day, and you have a conversation that he will be gone next year for a head coaching job. I keep saying it, because it's true: Tyrod and the offense are the opposite of clutch. They come up small in big moments of games. I blame part of that on the QB, and part of that on Roman.

  4. Might I add not properly charging the radio headsets in the linebacker & quarterback helmets during the Jacksonville game. The NFL even said it was an issue with us not charging the devices. Don't we have our own analytics guy? You would think he could Rex a chart on the imoortance of radio communications. I mean damn....

  5. The Doug Whaley love is out of control. This is now the 2nd coaching staff in which there are perceived miscommunication and friction between. His draft record is looking very mediocre.

His 1st and 2nd round picks:

EJ Manuel, Kiko Alonso, Robert Woods, Watkins, Kouandijo, Darby (2/6)

    3rd/4th

Goodwin, Duke Williams, Preston Brown, Ross Cockrell, John Miller (basically nothing; 2 JAGs)

    5-7

Meeks, Dustin Hopkins, Chris Gragg, Cyril Richardson, Randell Johnson, Seantrell Henderson, Karlos Williams, Tony Steward, Nick O'Leary, Dez Lewis (a good backup RB and one of the worst starting Ts in football)

That is not good. And 1 of his hits is a guy he traded an extra 1st round pick to get into the top 5 to get basically eliminating any margin of error(and oh, by the way, he might not even be the best WR taken that year). This team's best players on offense and defense were drafted by other people save Sammy Watkins and they were all massively overpaid to acquire (including Watkins) to the point that we are in a bad cap situation moving forward and we still have many holes all over the team.

Please try and spin this draft record because I'm not seeing anything great here. Doug Whaley's strength is supposed to be in college scouting and we are getting nothing from the middle rounds of the draft and basically the 2nd round. We have 1 player to show for 3 year's worth of 1st round picks.

Whaley got hoodwinked with the Kouandjio pick. Dude's knee is shot.

  6. He has built a 5-6 team that has the talent of a 5-6 team. The problem with uber fans is that the fall in love with the players. For example, minus A. Williams and Graham, our safeties would be on the practice squad of most teams. And considering that A. Williams is trending to miss more games than not in his career, you basically have to consider those safeties starters. Another example, Charles Clay is an above average tight end, but definitely not a superstar that is shown on his paycheck.

On a high percentage of running plays, the RB is having to dodge defenders in the backfield. Our offensive line is average at best.

It seems like after the D line got paid, they took their feet off the gas.

Taylor is a 6th round draft pick from a mediocre football program (Virgina Tech), who has been on the bench for 4 seasons. What else did you expect?

  7.

32 teams passed on Derek Carr, including the one that drafted him.

Also, he's having a nearly identical season to Tyrod. Compare the two:

    Carr - 240/378 (63.5%), 2,895 yds (7.66 YPA), 24 TDs, 6 INTs, 2 fumbles, 101.7 passer rating, 58 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 5-6 record as a starter

    Taylor - 165/250 (66.0%), 1,960 yds (7.84 YPA), 14 TDs, 4 INTs, 4 fumbles, 101.8 passer rating, 290 rush yds, 2 rush TDs, 5-4 record as a starter

He also wasn't the GM when the team failed to pick Wilson. We have no idea how Whaley felt about Wilson, actually.

The only spot where that is "identical" is quarterback rating, which is a flawed stat.

  8. Rex strikes me as a player's coach, and the downside of that is the players lacking discipline. Bellichick is not known as a player's coach, but his players are rarely out of position or miss their assignments. Paycheck guys do not stay on the Patriots roster for a reason; he is not an easy going coach. Although I am not there to see the practices, it seems likely that Ryan is much more laid back and less intensive with his practices. So what you have is Rex Ryan, a good defensive mind, stringing along undisciplined players that do not pay attention to the fine details of a game.

  9. -he cannot break down defenses
    -appears to be injury-prone
    -is undersized
-not as accurate as the elite quarterbacks
    -is the opposite of clutch

I am a Bills fan, but I don't fall in love with players. Tyrod will not cut it. Maybe you can make the playoffs with him if you assemble a perfect team, but do you really see him winning a superbowl?
