Sorry, the Pompus Moose has already tainted an entire Christmas, and football season for me...I think they/she are just pretentious garbage...but you open up the age-old music argument about technical proficiency vs. what is good...they don't always go hand in hand...Bob Dylan can't sing, but he is one of the greatest singers ever...

Oh my god...is this a joke? I started a thread, the week of Christmas, saying how much I loathed those Hyundai commercials, the music, and that woman...I am so relived that ad campaign is over...now I see that she and her annoying friend (fittignly, called Pomplamoose, or something like that) do a hideous version of Michael Jackson's "Beat It"...if you posted this to irk me, touche! Well played
...if not...damn you for reminding me of this scourge on music-kind... 
hahaha, settle down Beavis! not all of their stuff is my kind of music either, but that chick has a great voice and plays a decent bass = sex appeal for my money ... I really dig it when she sings in French.

i live in denver and this seasons closest home game is in KC, i was wondering if anyone is planning a trip there or lives there and can give some info on ribs, hotels etc...the game should be fun, buf-kc games usually are shootouts.
definitely maybe. I've made the drive from Denver a couple of times, Arrowhead is a great place to see a Bills game. We always stay in Blue Springs MO, about 10 miles east of the stadium, lots of cheap hotels there. Always hit Gates BBQ (downtown location) for ribs.

Going to be out there for the opener. The link in the backers forum is pretty old. Are there still Bills backers in Denver? In the alternative, any recommendations for a decent sports bar to watch the game Mon nite (I'm staying at the Sheraton Downtown on Court Place). Thanks.
Lodo's at 20th and Market St. Right near Coors Field. Take the free 16th St. mall shuttle to the end (Market St. station) and walk 4 blocks. Colorado Bills Backers are there every week. Should be at least 100 Bills fans for the opener.

I wanted to go, but I'm suffering from the MNF blues...not sure if I want to drive 4 hrs each way to watch another painful reminder of this team being so mediocre
I'll be happily driving 10 hrs each way ... better than the 13 hrs each way I drove to see the Bills in Phoenix. Tailgating with Bills fans in enemy territory is always worth the trip.

I always say stick with the Delta stuff and usually the older the better - cut through the production values to the raw meat....just about any title by these guys is the real deal

yeah, I'm shocked by this cut...Griffith is a good back, he had a big fumble in a crucial situation early last season, but I don't recall the guy being turnover-prone...just a big-time numbers crunch in the Broncos backfield....I'm thinking none of the coaches expected Mike Anderson to be as impressive as he's been this preseason - probably figured him to be cut maybe even before Clarett...but Q? he'll get snapped up elsewhere quickly - quality backup RB, imo

yeah it's a great movie...over 100 top comics retelling an old vaudeville joke - basically, the joke setup and punchline are the same, each comic fleshes it out his/her own way....I thought the filthiest was Bob Saget....Sarah Silverman was great...also liked Jeffrey Ross, Kevin Pollak, the South Park sketch, the Onion staff, and the mime

I happened to listen to this channel every now and then on my XM radio and it seems as if most of the hosts on there are always upset. Some try to be funny with thier commentary but in my opinion it is definatly playing to a very narrow audience. Maybe that is why they are struggling to stay alive.

BUZZFLASH: Tell us about your program. How did you come to create a left leaning political radio talk show? How long have you been on the air?RHODES: I've been doing talk radio for 11 years. I've always been left, always. I just think that a society is more sustainable if the most vulnerable come first. For instance, people always yell at me about affirmative action. They say "well if a man gets a job just because he is black isn't that reverse racism?" I tell them no, it's justice. I explain that I know it hurts that you and he were almost identically qualified, but that his race gave him an extra point in the "set" of factors considered. It hurts because justice is supposed to exact a price. It is just because this man was left out of all considerations precisely because of the color of his skin throughout slavery, share cropping and 81 years of Jim Crow laws. This is righting a wrong and that is justice.
This infuriates some people, and others tell me it takes their breath away and they repeat it at parties, which is good because that is how we become more human and solve our problems.
BUZZFLASH: A lot of "mainstream media" think that there is no audience for progressive shows or outlets. What are your comments?
RHODES: Oh, I am so glad you asked. I am a ratings and revenue queen. Number 1 or 2 in the ratings usually. So what are the "mainstream" talking about? Well, they say Liberals don't make money because no one wants to hear them. Okay, let's think.
First, remember that more Americans are registered or identify themselves as Democrats than Republicans. So here's the dirty little secret of news talk. There are advertisers making huge "buys" on really low rated shows that air nationally. If advertisers only go where the listeners are why do they buy cable news, Oliver North, or Rush Limbaugh who has horrible ratings?
They are buying CONTROL of CONTENT. It's leverage, whether it's radio, cable or network. They control millions of dollars of any company's revenue source. So that if something is said or done to disrupt their global business, they take their advertising elsewhere, or threaten to and then shut down the message.
And, think about this . . . how many products are on TV that you can't even buy? Plastics, computer chips, prescription drugs, soybeans. I mean honestly. This is the story that NEVER gets told. People just think, "Well, if your good enough, you'll have a big audience and that's what advertisers want." "Whose being naïve now Kaye?" I am always number one or two in the market. Rush is somewhere around 21st. I replaced G. Gordon Liddy!
I hope this gets told over and over because it is how they control our news, our Information Awareness. Get it?
