This all day.
The talent in this draft is meh. While I hate not having a first round pick this year, the taken next year could be difference makers. Also, if night enough, we could trade into the top 10 next year and get a stud
Harrison Jr.!

The qbs falling down the draft. if the qbs fall, then there might be some desperate to trade back in and also would mean the position players that might be there at 27 are gone already.

Bijan or Kincaid. Would also love Ika next round.

Yes restructure JA17 contract. But it is time to make a few cuts or trades. Restructuring always hurts in the long run. I am not suggesting huge cuts and a full rebuild.
We did not make the Super Bowl. But JA17 will be here a while, so I am willing to make few cuts. Just so we have an opportunity to a quick creation of long term cap space.
Trades
M Hyde is very tradeable. and getting up there in age. Hamlin will be back.
ED Oliver will get us a huge trade, he is a nice player, but we need the room.
AJ Epenesa he is Eric Flowers. All potential that is never realized. We will get a 4th rounder.
Mitch Morris... injury prone. I don't want to cut him or Restructure. We will get 5th. (too much dead money)
Easy restructures or new contracts
Reggie Gilliam.... add a year and restructure ( or a flat out cut)
Dion Dawkins a mild restructure
Tre White Mild restructure
Spencer Brown.. (I believe he will be great one day, lock him in now)
Nyhiem Hines.. full restructure and add a year.
Cuts
Isaiah Mckenzie (or a long term low pay restructure instead of cutting)
Siran Neal... nice player.. but way over paid... there are nice Safeties in the draft.
Would like to keep hyde, don't want two inexperienced guys back there. doubt hamlin is coming back, especially for 2023
Ed would be ok if it works out, but then they'll be even more tempted to draft dl early or have to sign a replacment for close to his cost.
Epenesa, sure
Morse-no, but he may end up retiring with any more health problems though. He is the leader of the ol, need his presence for at least 1 more year.
Agree with restructures and cuts for sure.

He's turning 37 this season.
I'd like to see a 25-29 year old guy who has the chance to be the backup for a number of years.
Kyle Allen and Mike White type of guys who are willing to become that long-term backup on a good team.
Stability at the position.
If they have a guy like that, the 3rd string can be UDFA types for the PS and you might get lucky.
I've been wanting Kyle Allen for a couple years now. I think he would fit nicely in if needed. He would be one of my top choices. Wasn't serious about Chase, I was just surprised no one had mentioned him yet. He had a great career (money and health wise).

No one for Chase Daniel? Best backup qb career.
-
Not a fan of the copy the Chiefs idea, unless you want to count on whoever is on the schedule the next week somehow needing their backup qb as a starter. They had a lot go their way in 2022 even with what looked like a hard schedule. Also its not that they had a buch of nobodies. I can't stand Kelce but he is a big difference, and Ju-Ju wasnt a nobody either. Diggs is a must have/keep.

I'm done with the McKenzie experiment, personally. I do not want to see him back.
same.

Mckenzie going to be released, for cap purposes, unless he redoes contract. Could/Probably see a resign on any of those 3 FAs. This years overall FA class not too great and teams not really wanting to trade wrs with low cap numbers so really need to look at draft again.
-
Trade for Montez Sweat, not sure Washington would but they may need to before signing Young long term.
-
Montez Sweat via trade.
If not then Dalton Risner via FA.

Bijan if hes there at 27. I like Cook, but Bijan is too good to pass on if hes there. I would think of Q. Johnston but i doubt hes there same with parris or skoronski. Van ness on D if you had listed D.
O'Cyrus might be an idea since we all want more o-line, but not sure he fits the role like they are looking for.

We need to hedge your bets on a offensive line by getting a actual quality, not over the hill, veteran to go along with drafting another offense of lineman, high, and getting another one in the draft
I would like to see at least one quality, veteran wide receiver, and one quality, veteran offense of lineman
Do you have to be joking with N’Keal Harry what a bust
Yes on the OL, its why Risner would be my #1 signing. Young enough to last for the next 5 years at a high level, but veteran enough to know what hes doing. Would also like the hedge of draft too.
Harry is somewhat of a joke entry, but also is the type of receiver that Allen would like throwing too, although he is a lot like Gabe Davis just worse. The reason I would look at him is cheapness or at least should be. Plus I dont know what other receiver to look at that would fit in the cap, I'm sure there are some.

FA:
Dalton Risner
Tremaine Edmunds
N'keal Harry
Nasir Adderley
Trade for:
Montez Sweat
Draft:
Bijan Robinson (probably trade up)
Dalton Kincaid or Michael Mayer if no trade up. Would also not mind an OL that falls.

sign dalton risner

trade up for quentin johnston in the draft is a good start.
