Diggs can talk to anyone he damn well pleases. And he doesn't need our permission either. Has everyone forgotten what country we live in?

Haha, the toxicity, drama and anger AB has brought to the chat room is proof enough.

This is a positive thread about how awesome it is to see our favorite team working out together.

Sorry I let AB get to me and bring negativity into this space.

I realize I have lost my marbles at this point and I should get off the internet for the day.

I'll see myself out, have a great weekend everyone.

Are you really trying to play some semantically game? If so, you are 100% diluting the point. He regrets not having football in his life. That was the point.

Ok, the original point is, please keep our players away from the toxic AB. I'll stick to that. Agree or disagree, doesn't matter to me. Just off season chatting.

We could start a whole new thread about whether the league has done AB wrong or if the game was taken from him. However I'm already ashamed that I have used this amount of time on AB.

The league? Did I defend anything that he did? If so, let me know. He has been begging teams to get back because he realizes what an idiot that he is. You are reading into something that I neither said nor inferred. It’s his fault but the game has been taken from him. Both of those things are true.

I do not think "the game has been taken from him". This man has, on his own accord, flushed his talent down the toilet. No one took anything away from him. He gave it away, whether he regrets it or not.

If your concern is that they are going out for drinks after and Brown is capable of anything in his private life, cool. I’ll 100% buy that. If your concern is that he will turn Diggs into a toxic person in the locker room, I’m sorry not buying that. His legendary work ethic is a great thing for Diggs to be around. The fact that he has had the game taken from him is a good lesson for Diggs. If they are out at the club, I wouldn’t like that either. Trouble follows Brown in his personal life. He’s ready, fire, aim.

Who exactly took the game from him? The women he assaulted? The employees he didn't pay? The mother of his children who he humiliates on social media?

IMO, it really depends on the team and the FOs history on how it treats players. But in general, I dont have a problem with players trying to get the most money possible. They're the ones risking their long term health in a very short window to get paid.

I also don't think "teammates counting on him" comes into it much. The players know its a business.

Given how BOB acts as GM and HC, I have no problem with players doing whatever they can to max their money there (or force a trade). And it didnt really seem like the Texans needed Clowney to make the playoffs anyways.

Fair enough. One thing I'm sure we agree on: GO BILLS

I dont blame any player for trying to milk the maximum out of teams that are run like the Texans.

Respectfully asking serious question: If it's a key player on a team that is expected to compete for playoffs, holds out of camp/regular season games so he can "milk the maximum out of the team", knowing his teammates are counting on him, do you blame them for not compromising on a reasonable number in that case?

He had zero runs over 20 yards last year. Adam Gase is the coach. I am not worried about the Jets

I think its a reach to call him good. Hes widely inconsistent

As much as I love to pile on the Jests, especially living in NJ, I will not underestimate any divisional game.

It's way too important to win at least 4 division games and these teams are built to beat each other.

Yes, the Jets will suck, but they will sure as ***** give it their best effort against our Bills.

Not worried at all, just not taking it easy against a rival.

Anyone see Gelber’s response to someone asking about AB? He said “He worked out with AB yesterday”. Wonder who he was talking about Allen or Diggs. Not at all advocating for AB, but an interesting comment in light of last year.

Anyway, good to see him getting in work with the guys. Especially Diggs.

Please, please, PRETTY, please, stay the hell away from Antonio Brown!! He is like another viral infection we need to avoid at all cost. Team killer.

Clowney must be a lot smarter than he’s given credit for.

    I guess Nuk sucks too.

Never said "sucks", just not interested. There is and always be endless debate on whether or not a player is selfish for holding out on his team/teammates. I am on the side of selfish but I respect the opinion of those who support their actions. Good example was Le'Veon Bell. I dont think he sucks, I just think he has zero regard for his teammates and I'm not interested in rooting for him on my team. The Jests can have him and Clowney and CJ2K all they want, keep em out of the Bills Locker Room.

  10. In addition to being a "hold out" player, this blurb perfectly sums up the topic:

"It’s also worth remembering that Clowney isn’t negotiating from the strongest position, either. For all of his talent and potential, the defensive end hasn’t developed into a massive star; health has been an issue—he has only played a 16-game season once, is coming off a core muscle injury, and can’t currently take an in-person physical—and he’s only recorded 32 sacks during his six professional campaigns".

  11. I think Larry Fitzgerald is a good example of a WR who didn't need legendary QB play to make him a hall of fame receiver.

But then again, I think Tom Brady is a good example of a QB who didn't need legendary WR play to make him Hall of Fame QB.

So I guess this debate can go either way based on the player in question.

    GO BILLS!

I’d probably go Miami, Buffalo, New York, New England.  That said, any order is reasonable.

I was watching the Cleveland game yesterday after the thread about it.  There was a play deep in Browns territory where Allen scrambled and held the ball loosely.  He got hit and fumbled.  The ball bounced off a Brown, and a Lineman for the Bills fell on it a foot from the goal line.  Josh ran a QB sneak on the next play for a TD.  It was a terrible play by Josh, but it wound up being a TD on the stat sheet because he got incredibly lucky and was bailed out.

So yes, it’s accurate to say that he had more rushing TDs than Lamar, but I think most neutral observers place very little importance on that fact because the 4 TD runs he had from the 1 yard line are more a function of Daboll calling QB sneaks as opposed to other teams who hand it to their RB in those situations.  If those teams called for sneaks the way Daboll does, every QB in the league would have more rushing TDs.

Fair point on rushing TDs. Well said.

Still wouldn't take any other AFC-E QB over Josh tho.

Maybe I suffer from "Homer Syndrome", maybe not. We shall see.

  13. Every time I see articles/rankings like this, it makes me wonder if I'm blinded by loyalty; if I'm just too focused on the Buffalo Bills to realize that Josh really is more toward the bottom of the pack. In my mind he's a franchise QB and knocking on the door of the top 10. But nationwide, people just don't see it that way. Maybe it was the lack of prime time games in his 1st two seasons.

People constantly overlook the playoff appearance and even the fact that he had more rushing TDs than Lamar Jackson.

So my question is: Are we crazy, or is the nationwide NFL audience blind? Probably a combo of both.

Foles; Flacco Looking like justifiable decisions.

Also, never forget the Mitch Trubisky contract.

But I have faith in Josh.

Either way, Josh is not a household name, yet. So allllllll the talking heads will bash a big money signing until he earns his stripes in  Prime Time.

Of course Maddy is no Kay Adams, but hey what can we realistically expect from a local homer show?
