And I thought you only used handcuffs on a team's backs in fantasy football.
-
Never - and I mean NEVER - gets old.
I guess there are worse backups out there, but I'm of the firm opinion we're not making playoffs this year, so who the #2 is doesn't mean a heck of a lot.
-
It seems very likely that this guy will crash and burn in the NFL, and I'll be standing there laughing when it happens.
-
I swear, if Watkins is seriously hurt......
-
Considering our QB is EJ, I think you should revise your prediction down a bit, especially winning at Houston and home to New England. The Patriots own us, and Belicheck is in our heads.
I think 8-8 is the ceiling. Anything less would be a step back, anything more a surprise.

I don't really care what he did in college, it's a different game now, and so far he has shown himself to still lack maturity and self-restraint. I'm not buying into the hype that ESPN is so desperate to sell us.
-
I feel that the two biggest threats to the long term stability of the NFL are concussions, and choking on its own greed.
There's no consideration of the fan experience at all. The only thought they give is to how many new ways they can fleece us.

Golisano would be a disaster.

And so it begins... first it was ads on the glass at both ends of NHL rinks, now is this gonna become the norm? Meanwhile the NBA are thinking of putting ad patches on uniforms. Gotta grab those revenue streams...
Enough.

I was just watching sports center and the ESPN analyst said Buffalo will NOT keep four RB's going into the season. Look for the Bills to unload CJ Spiller before the season starts according to him.
This could get interesting...........
Trade for another player or trade for an extra draft pick for next season?
Right, draft Watkins to win now and then trade Spiller. It doesn't wash.

Tonight = /thread.
It's a bad night for the EJ haters. Talking about when he was drafted is now irrelevant.
We've seen this movie before though. Flashes of excellence, but can he sustain it for multiple games at a time?
Also, I thought EJ was a bit of a reach at that position. Partly because it was a poor year for QBs.
-
The 'wrong pick' was made during previous drafts when they didn't address the QB issue. By 2013 they were desperate and forced to pick from a bad draft class.
Yeah, I will keep saying it until I'm blue in the face but Graham over Russell was criminal.
-
Forget about EJ what about Geno Smith?
I read something - I forget what and where - talking about the Jets beginning to think they still need a QB.

I have been an avid Bills fan for many years, but do not live in the Buffalo area and recently have read various articles as to the various reasons for the Bills current playoff drought. What do you believe are the three main (or more if you can list them) reasons why this has occurred? Would also like your input regarding how long do you believe it will require the new ownership to return the Bills to being a playoff contending team? GO BILLS.
You don't need to look much further than horrendous drafting - Maybin, McCargo, etc. Bills threw away a lot of high end picks on those turkeys and JP Losman, etc, etc.
Turnarounds can happen fast in the NFL - see KC last year - but I would say three years of drafting right and having a good scheme and good coaches. Unfortunately we're behind the 8 ball on the draft front since we gave up so much for Watkins - a panic move. Although on the other hand, maybe we're not so far away as I thought and Watkins is the guy to put us over the top.
-
Trade a guy with a possible future for a guy with a shaky past. No thanks.
-
Luckily, neither the driver nor the other 22 people in the car were injured.
-
If it isn't EJ, the answer is NOT on this team...
This x 100. I've seen nothing to suggest the others are more than backups. The question is how long it takes us to find out if EJ IS the guy or not. At least one full season, I'd say.
-
This seems like a left field hire. That's my first impression.
like everything we'll have to wait and see.
either that or we are doomed!
It's the Bills, we're always doomed.
-
Movie hadn't even started. I think so long as someone turns off the phone before the actual movie starts, that's OK. But let's be honest, this was bound to happen somewhere eventually.
-
The article said some of these tickets are $300 each. How do they justify that pricing level for a first round playoff game?
-
Game was a lot closer than I predicted. Had a chance at the end.
We played them close in both games but zero to show for it. I guess it's progress, but I'm sick of losing to New England.

Need moar pics of Julia from Garlitt....

The main reason we find ourselves discussing the pros and cons of EJ Manuel as Bills QB is the gross mismanagement of Nix and company. You have a starter who is nothing more than a serviceable backup, and who loses games for you single-handed. So skip over the year that has many good QBs in the draft and then reach for a guy in a year that doesn't have any standouts. Brilliant.

Your thread title is misleading. A little snow is not the problem. It's a major storm that disrupts local travel and makes it unsafe or impractical for fans to get to the stadium that they are concerned about, and rightly so.
Are we in la la land? Nfl.com thinks we will finish 4th in AFC E

I suspect we're not so much progressing as running in place - as the similar results in recent years show. Doesn't bother me at all that they picked the Bills for last.
