Sometimes loser's at life, make the best football players. What teams really want is someone whose self-esteem and identity, is completely based on success in football.
And that can be applied beyond football. I think of some salesmen I know, who if they aren't making a quota are wrecks. My ex (a Countrywide mortgage agent) went to pieces when she didn't TOP the sales chart.

The biggest thing to fear is the development stalls and we're back to square one with a roster of complete duds. This is where smart drafting and FA moves is absolutely crucial.

This whole "catch/not a catch" thing is the biggest thing that turns me off of watching football.

as a 3rd vs 4th wr.... i dont know that you will be seeing significant playing time differences as much as both guys have packages they are a part of and simply trying to get our strengths against opponents weaknesses.

Actually, this game is on Marrone and Whaley. It all began with the decision to have an undrafted free agent and another journeyman QB as your backups for the season.
Who were they supposed to have as a backup? Trade for Aaron Rodgers?

Can't just blame the turnovers, although it's key. All the stalled drives with no points to show have contributed to this now being a ten point game and out of reach.

This game's rules are too complex. How that isn't a catch is insane.
He trapped it against the helmet. Looking at that, I'd say it's a catch unless they think it touched the ground. But like I said, it seems the interpretation changes from week to week.

Nope, stopped watching weeks ago. Same old, same old, only worse. I am still not ready to give up on Manuel, though. He needs at least two full seasons to prove himself, one way or another. The team's going nowhere in the meantime.
