I think the draft piece has to depend on what McBeane truly think of Benford, no?

I'd let Poyer walk, sign a vet S, transition Benford and bring back Marlowe.  That gives us Hyde - Vet Safety, with Benford and Marlowe as depth.  Hamlin, we'll see how that goes.

Then draft a CB on Day 3 to compete with Dane Jackson for depth behind White and Elam.

Have they actually said anything about this in an official capacity? I have seen a sorts of fans and talking heads talking about it, but is there anything from the Bills saying they are going to do that?

It's a tough call for sure.

    I think the options are:

Keep Edmunds and keep everything the same defensively..........continue to mostly dominate average to bad teams on that side of the ball......but accept that you will be carved up by Mahomes/Burrow/Trevor types and have to outscore them.

Or change your style of defense to some extent...............maybe funnel the run inside more and have a more instinctive and better run defender in the middle.   This possibly improves the pass rush by giving them wider splits.

Personally,  I think it's time for a change.   But what really makes it tantalizing to keep Edmunds is that you could give him a LONG contract at his age and work with small cap hits for the next few seasons and not have to deal with dead money from the deal until the late 2020's possibly.

Ahh yeah, why dont they just have the Defense that stops the top 5 QBs, why didnt they think of that.  There is a reason that only the top 3 qbs beat the D, its because they are the best! If it was easy to stop them dont you think they would already be doing it? They have had a top 5 def every year.  If they get rid of him and the D is worse, that puts even more stress on the Offense to score points, even against a "lousy" team.

There is a stat out there that when he is in they have top 3 pass D and when he isnt they were 28th.... now imagine that all year.  Imagine getting into a shooting match with a team like Houston because our D is wretched in pass D, not a world I want to live in.

Ive always thought that the championship game should be at a neutral field.  I dont think it is fair for 1 team to have the advantages of a bye week, play one less game, and have home field.  Teams in a conference dont play the same schedule, so a team could play in the weakest division, play the 2nd weakest division in their conference and the weakest team in the other conference.

Like the Chiefs that past couple years and the Pats for 15 years?

I thought about this and that they move the pro bowl to the day before the Super Bowl.

There is way to much logistically and financially for them to do this. I would be shocked if they moved the entire schedule a week.  Think of all the ticket purchases, travel arrangements for teams and fans, hotels, airlines, everything would be a cluster across the nfl if they did this.  In a glass bowl this is a great idea, but unfortunately I think the bills take an L for the Bengals game, and then they pushed the Pats game to MNF again to give them as much time as possible.

  5. Prescott's Provisions in Tonawanda is in my opinion the best food in the greater Buffalo area.  Amazing seasonal menu, great drinks, and the servers there all make you feel like they have known you their entire life.  Wife and I go there at least once a month and I have never had anything but an amazing experience.  We took my sister-in-law and her husband there one time and now every time I see him he asks us to sneak away to go get a steak again from there.  10/10 would strongly reccomend

Left Bank Downtown is also amazing food.  Their twin filet was my go to meal for years if we were celebrating anything, and their massive ravioli is out of this world.

If you are looking for a quick burger down town Mr Sizzle is the best burger I have ever had.  Also they make milkshakes with booze in them that will knock your socks off.

There is so much good food in Buffalo, I hope you enjoy your time back in the area and can celebrate a Bills W!

Do you really think that ?

Well… i just edited it now, fixing here and there… but please, understand me, it was 6:45am and i was just woke up… and i’m not english mother language.

Your English anytime of the day is much better than my Italian ever!  I am hoping Groot develops and with Tre White back it gives them more time to get to the QB!

    Go Bills!

Nate isn’t terrible IMHO, but he has a way of asking a question and then spending the next 5 minutes answering said question himself before letting the person respond.

I always like listening to him when there is no guest on, but you just put into words what I could never figure out about his interviews.  Other than that I think he is great, usually brings a new take on something and isn't just a contrarian for the sake of "opposing views'

i think it was in KC.  he and i think the gm tried to stop it and failed unfortunately.  if i remember the story, they were trying to talk him down while he was in the car in the stadium parking lot.

I remember the story about that when it happened, I thought he was on the phone with him;  I didn't realize that he was right there too.  That is awful, I cant even imagine having that happen.  Some of these coaches feel that all of their players are their sons, so this may have been truly awful for him to exp.

Miller was brought in to play, not to mentor. Anything he adds as far as mentorship is just icing on the cake.

I believe Miller is a better player than Campbell, and still playing his best ball.

100000% happy that Miller is here.  I didnt mean in place of him but as well as Miller.  Sorry haste makes waste when I typed this out.

Man, Miller looks like a defensive back standing next to Rousseau. Rousseau is huge.

That's why there is a little piece of me that wishes we would have signed Calias Campbell, he is built more like Groot.  I think he would have been a better mentor because he has the same skill set.  Not that Von Miller isnt amazing, but I think there may be some stuff that he does that Groot just can't and things that he can do that Von isnt able to.

Not a bad problem to have if ya ask me!

  11. Awesome, and I am jealous. My wife and I were thinking about going, but we waffled back and forth about it too long and then ticket prices went through the roof!  Now with the Monday Night game the next week we are going all out for that instead.

Hope you have a great time when you are there to watch the start of the Super Bowl Run!

Opportunity cost would be my concern with drafting LB so high.  If we do then I think Edmunds is definitely gone.  If youre drafting a back up LB on day 2 then you are missing out on developmental starters that will play at WR and iOL.

100% agree but if they aren't satisfied with Edmunds play and they do this, the writing will be on the wall for other teams too. Maybe the can get a pick or a player for him after the draft or early in the preseason. Would love to also see what Edmunds does behind an actual DLine

  13. I would love this pick.  If they take him to play CB this year opposite of Tre and then get another vet in  after the draft. Then if talks don't go well with Poyer they have a plan at S already on the team.  He could slide into that role and save them a ton of headaches and drama if he is that type of player everyone expects, can never have enough good DBs on a team, and with injuries he could also play that Nickel role if anything happens to Johnson.

I feel the same about drafting a LB this year higher than most would like (2nd or 3rd with Muma or Andersen).  Best case scenario Edmunds becomes the All pro MLB and they have awesome cheap depth behind him and Milano for a few years.  Worst case, Edmunds doesn't do anything, isn't resigned and they then have someone who has been in the system and is ready to step up next year.
