  1. Here's a breakdown of upgrades/downgrades at our positions for 2009-2010.

    Upgrades

    Owens for Reed

    Rhodes for Omon

Kelsay for Kelsay on 1st&2d down + Maybin on 3d Down.

    Downgrades:

    LT Walker for Peters

    RT Chambers for Walker

    LG Lavitrie ® for Dockery

C Fowler for ® Wood/2d String Hangengartner (Rosenbagger)

    OLB Ellison for Angelo Crowell

    CB Youboty for Jabari Greer

    Even:

    Fine for Robert Royal

After writing this, I threw up in my mouth a little. Did I miss anything or inaccurately characterize the change?

Ctrl > P wipe ass with it!!

  2. That Hangartner could be the player backing up the C/G spots? If Hangartner doesn't prove to be more talented than Wood, Levitre, or Butler, he could play the same role here as he did in Carolina: backup interior lineman. IMO the line will probably read as follows:

    LT - Walker

    LG - Levitre

    C - Wood

    RG - Butler

    RT - Bell/Chambers

Game day backups - Hangartner, Bell/Chambers

DJ said Wood would start at Guard and Hangertner in the post

  3. There should be some very good training camp battles for roster spots and starting lineup. Offensive position battles along offensive line, running back and tight end should be competitive. Safety, nickel, linebacker and defensive end could be even more fierce. The Bills have lots of options.......I just hope they know how to use them!!

  4. Personally, I would be ecstatic about this. I love Orakpo coming off the edge, Britton is supposed to be quick and smart (which he has to be to make up for his T-Rex arms - like Michael Roos), and Alex Mack to shore up the center. I don't know anything about Alex Magee or Cameron Morrah - and would prefer a TE in the third, personally - but can't really argue with it otherwise. Oh, and a WR at any point? I hope not.

Also, the Ball State QB is supposed to be the fourth best QB in this extremely thin draft class. Wouldn't mind picking him up in the 6th at all.

Didn't the Bills draft the fourth ranked quarterback a few years ago? J.P. Something?

  5. The highly regarded McNally (who is soon to be demonized by those for the trade) believed Peters was a superior talent. Sure, he's partial, but I think he knows OL when he sees them.

I'll take the experts take before message board posters who don't study film. But again, only time will tell if this move benefits one side or the other more. I think we'll know by Week 6 of this upcoming season.

I have said this before......Jim McNally didn't want anything to do with Jason Peters. McNally did nothing for the Bills or Peters.

  6. I like the Robot. He came out early and entered the draft after his junior year. He shows good form and technique in his drills. Additional his verticle jump has measured (65 inched) of the chart. I would rate him him as a potential late fourth or early fifth round selctions.

  7. Williams, McGahee, Losman, Peters,

and Parrish, Kelsay all to come........

That will leave Evans, McGee and Schobel as the only players that left a mark on this team from that Era

And of course the Marv Levy Era is not looking very good either....

Poz is still a question mark....McCargo is officially a bust...

Wake up Marv..........it's our pick again!!

  8. I guess he and his brother have been working with a few of the quarterbacks in this year's draft. Apparently they are preparing them for the NFL. I have know idea who, how, or why this is relevant. I may listen just for a laugh.

    UPDATE>>>>>>>>>>>>

The Rob Johnson interview on Sirius NFL has been preempted. Doug Flutie has replaced Rob Johnson in the lineup. Flutie will discuss the national televised 1984 Boston College V. Miami U game. In case you missed or haven’t heard …On the last play of the game, Flutie scrambled away from the defense and threw a Hail Mary pass that was caught in the end zone by Gerard Phelan, BC won 47-45 and help him win the Heisman Trophy.

After the one hour Flutie interview, Wade Phillips, Head Coach of South America’s Team, will join in to discuss Quarterback Development in the NFL.

  9. Allen Wilson is just a typical hater who doesn't have any faith in the team. Same with Jerry Sullivan. All these columnist critics of the Bills are jerks and should be fired. The job of a Buffalo based journalist is to put a positive spin on the Bills.

I have been very fortunate to have coached some outstanding high school athletes Three NYS championships and several conference titles. During my tenure Allen Wilson interviewed me and my athletes several times. I always enjoyed our phone interviews and meetings. He is a great sports writer and person. He is first and foremost an advocate of the athlete. He did a wonderful job of covering our porgram. He was ususally interested in the personal story and road to success. He doesn't need to spin a tale.....he writes a honest story!
