and dont forget the vikings, which we handed a small spanking. The vikings played a close game with chicago. I agree that the bears look good. I believe we looked good against the vikings and will look better against detroit.
This matchup may be closer that a lot of the experts have stated. My pick is the Bills.

1. We need beef for 3rd and 1's, on O and on D. Losman on a QB sneak looks iffy. We can't stop the beefy O-Lines with fast guys when they're going for 1 yard.
2. We still need work picking up blitzes. Bell got a sack when WM whiffed on his block.
3. Villy and Fowler each gave up a sack today that didn't have to be.
4. We gotta work on the Reed-Parrish pick play that resulted in the called back TD by RP.
5. Evans needs to read the hot route that all 10 other guys read.
6. We still miss tackles vs. the run.
While I'm grateful for the win, we need to play better vs. the Jets. Oh wait--they're losing 24-7. Never mind.
And we all need our beer cold even when they have only been in the fridge for 10 minutes.
Every single single game for for every team on any given sunday will have a list of things that could be changed for improvement. And all of the arm chair coaches have the solutions.
Great win BILLS!!!!! Keep up the good work.

The Bills' situation is different from the Pats' situation. As you know, there are a lot of holes on this team, and the Bills have lots of salary cap space. However, the free agent market is thin, especially when it comes to guys who a) still have most of their careers in front of them, b) have proven themselves top-tier guys, and c) would actually want to play here. LeCharles Bentley is a good example: he's been in the league just four years, and he's top tier. But he's bound and determined to be in Cleveland.
Most guys who have proven themselves top tier have far better options than Buffalo. The only way to attract guys like that is to throw crazy money at players--and sometimes still get turned down. The Bengals pursued this model for many years.
Instead, Marv is finding young players who have question marks associated with them, but who have the potential to become solid starters. Peerless Price falls into this category, as do Robert Royal, Tuten Reyes, and Marv's other major signings. Supposing 1/3 or 1/2 of such signings work out. Now you've added young, solid starters to the team, and those guys will be locked up for a few years. Yeah you had to waste salary cap space on the failures to find the successes, but what else could the Bills have done with that salary cap space?
But the Patriots are in a different situation. Their team can do something now. They're a team everyone wants to play for, so they don't need to waste salary cap space on failures to find successes. They're in a position to be more selective about whom they sign. There are two excellent reasons the Patriots should spend less in free agency than the Bills: 1) players like Tom Brady eat up a lot more salary cap space than Kelly Holcomb or Craig Nall, so the Patriots need to use more of their cap to keep their own picks. 2) The Patriots have so few holes they could realistically hope to address all of them via the draft. This lessens the need for free agents.
Very well said,

I received that same ignorant email. Heres how it went from Help@!@#$.com
I get the email and than respond back with:
Wear orange like the colors of the broncos.. have YOU lost your freakin mind?
Do you think that the bills organization wants to lose? Things happen and its frustrating but you can believe they know firsthand how distressed we are.
You can wear orange or green or whatever you want. Get a grip.
He responds:
Try and bring a sign or a paper bag into the stadium on Saturday and see
what happens to you genius. Wearing orange is the only way, last time I
checked the Doncos no longer have orange helmets and their away jerseys
are white.
I respond back:
I wont be wearing a bag or a sign. How old are you? I really hope you didnt just start watching the bills in the late 80s or early 90s. The game is cyclical. Free agency and coaching will find its way back to our team. The bills are not in a bubble. The owner and coachs know whats up and the right decisions will be made for us and for them.
Happy Holidays
he responds:
I went to games at the Rockpile with my family and you? You dont have to
wear anything or protest, some will some won't.
Were die hard win or lose.
WE WILL BE BACK !!!!!

He was sacked 3-4 times, but no interceptions.
Not sure how that rumor spread about him throwing a lot of picks, because you're the second or third post I've read here mention that.
If you thought JPL had a good game, DB had an amazing game, including a LOT of movement in the pocket to avoid the rush. Will it last? Time will tell.
CW
Well we all know after 11 years in the NFL you should have a decent game now and than.

That's right folks, after one week of play the NFL's top ranked passer with a rating of 143.4 is. . . Drew Freaking Bledsoe!!!
Alas, it's true. . . look it up. Obviously, it won't last. But, it sticks in my craw a bit that the statue is playing better for Dallas than he did for us. It is, however, fairly predictable. He gets better protection there, is playing for Parcells, and has the Dallas Cowboy tradition/mystique on his side there.
In fact, I bet the Cowboys to win against San Diego (no points, I collected better than 1-1 on my money). And I bet them OVER on wins/losses for the season. They will obviously be 3-0 after 3 weeks (with a home Monday Nighter against pig Washington, and then at pig San Fran). Their schedule is very easy. Wish the Bills had that schedule. The 'Pokes are going 10-6 and wildcard bound, unfortunately.
wasnt bledslow sacked 5 times and picked twice. I can live with a measly 89.9 qb rating to start with and not have to deal with that drewfull crap.
-
We are doomed. We need Bledslow back, look how fresh he looks after parsmells changed his depends. NOT
We will live and die with JP and I for one am more than happy.

Showtime shows a major fight every first sat of the month. You dont have to pay for most ppv fights. Just wait for the following sat and it should be on hbo. They always show a week delay of their ppv fights. Showtime does the the same thing.
You can also catch many major fights on hbo after dark and on showtime shobox series. If it wasnt for boxing and deadwood I wouldnt watch much on either showtime or hbo.

You got a problem with me jerky? Ill eat your kids
Love the show only problem is Boxing has fewer fans than Volleyball.
Its sad for the state of boxing which Is my second favorite sport.
Heavyweights make more dough playing football now adays.
Lighter weight classes are where all the moneys at now
Some great fighters are reaching the twilight of their careers
I really hope some real talent emerges from this show.

I was stupid enough to have purchased and worn my Bledsoe jersey, but since I don't need to wear a bib when I eat, I wear it as a shirt anyway from time to time when I'm grabbing something to wear to go play cards with the guys or whatever.
No one ever gives me crap about it, but if they do I really don't care. And I save it in particular because a time will come when the Bills win the Super Bowl and when it does come and people see me in my Bledsoe gear, they'll know I sat through the crappy stuff to get to the good stuff.
If you think A Bledsoe jersey shows you sat through the crappy stuff, you must be a new bills fan or a young one.

Hello all.....
I see that the Bills are sponsoring a contest to win this DVD. I would enter but my recollection of that day is suspect. My friend Johnny and I decided to switch from beer to Gin and Coke's in the second half and chugged one each time they scored.
You can imagine the shape we were in.....actually you can't.
Is there anyone on this site that is selling this DVD. I have a VHS copy but I would like to get John and myself a little reminder of that glorious day.....
Thanks-
Matt
I am fresh out of the comeback game but I have every bills game ever played on dvd for sale plus I have 4 kilos of the finest white powder made. Let me know what you need. Hey your a bills fan so you must be ok. Heres my address.

Everyone knows that Im not fond of Bledsoe as our QB anymore. Id rather go with youth at this point and start building our own trifecta. But, no one can argue that Drew has put up points in the last 8 games and is one of the reasons the Bills are in playoff contention. However, we just went through our weakest section of our schedule. Drew has also laid eggs against big time teams like NE.
What Drew will we see? Will he be the Drew that gets the ball out in 3 seconds or runs or throws the ball SAFELY away? Or will we see the Drew that lobs balls into double, sometimes triple coverage? Throws right at DB's? Stands in the pocket and takes 5+ sacks?
The reason Im worried is simple. Even in the big wins we have had, Ive watched Drew throw lots of floaters into double coverage, throw balls directly at the DB's and throw behind the WR's. Against the 49'ers thats probably fine and proved to not be a problem. But, the Steelers are a whole different thing entirely! The Steelers have a GREAT defense, if Drew throws off target they are very likely to pick him off. With there speed, they can get under his lobs and fight for the ball. Hes going to have to drill the ball in there and be on target to win this one. Lets hope he steps up.
Im still rooting for the Bills and think that BOTH Den and NYJ lose!
The Just Practicing -Era has already begun. Just sit back there skippy and enjoy the ride as a great QB take the Bills to the promised land of florida. Just grab on there buckaroo we will even take you along.

All these topics centering on other potential outcomes raises the question of weather anybody realizes the leagues best team is taking the field Sunday against our Bills. I haven't seen one post discussing how were going to crack their front seven to keep Bledsoe erect, get to Maddox while trying to contain argueably the finest trio of receivers on any team or consistantly plug running lanes that no one else has been able to. As I stated on an earlier reply, smashing victories against lower eschelon teams has only created a belief that we can beat great teams as we haven't beaten anyone with a winning record when we played them. It seems as if everyone's either foolishly looking past them or are too afraid to talk about it. I can't see how anyone could think this one's 'in the bag' just because we've whooped a lot of crappy teams lately. With the possible exception of raidernation, Steeler fans have been buying up every last RWS tix every year we're on their schedule and are the most supported opposition fans we encounter at the stadium. That's not going to change Sunday and won't bode well for 12th man influence. IF the performance enhancement we've witnessed the last six weeks is bona fide and we can win this game- through any cicumstance- then we'll know this team is great and we'll enjoy an offseason of great expectations. Then again, depending on how all these other chips fall that everyone seems to want to talk about, we could be aboard a surreal Super Bowl bandwagon!
Bobforbills......Do you mind me calling you bobforthesenuts.......From here on out dont call the bills our bills because you havent earned that right.

I can't stand Bill Cowher. That POS played his starters in the 4th quarter of a preseason game (after taking them out earlier in the game) just so they could beat the Eagles. That was back when Ray Rhodes coached Philly.
He won't rest his starters for the sole reason to try to stick it to Mularkey.
We are going to kick their asses.
And than the world will understand what the over rated steelers are all about.
And than the world will see that the Bills can beat the so called best teams
And than we can go into the playoffs with a serious chip on our shoulders, blood in our eyes and the refuse to lose chant all the way to florida.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers had plenty of excuses for losing this season: Kendall Simmons' knee and Kendrell Bell's oft-injured groin. Chad Scott's knee and Plaxico Burress' thigh. Tommy Maddox's elbow and Casey Hampton's knee.
So much for excuses. So much for losing.
Through all the injuries -- and nearly half their starters have gone down at some stage of the season -- the Steelers (14-1) have built a 13-game winning streak that is the longest in the franchise's 72-season history.
Now, despite two more injuries -- quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's sore ribs and cornerback Deshea Townsend's broken hand -- the Steelers promise there will be no letting up Sunday at Buffalo (9-6), even though they have little to gain by winning.
By beating Baltimore 20-7 Sunday, the Steelers assured themselves home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs and a first-round bye the weekend of Jan. 8-9. As a result, their main incentive against Buffalo is to go 15-1 for the first time in franchise history and better the previous franchise-best record of 14-2 in 1978.
Coach Bill Cowher frequently has rested his regulars during meaningless late-season games in other seasons, but doesn't seem as inclined to do so now. That could be good news for the Broncos, Jets, Jaguars and Ravens, all of whom might need a Bills loss to get into the playoffs.
"We are playing too well to go up there and not win that football game," Cowher said. "It's not so much the record (15-1) as much as it is that we keep playing well."
The Steelers haven't been totally well since the first week of training camp when Simmons, their right guard and former first-round draft pick, went down with a season-ending knee injury.
But, rather than caving in amid numerous injuries as they did during a 6-10 season a year ago, the Steelers seemingly have rallied around them. Linebackers Larry Foote and James Harrison, cornerback Willie Williams, guard Keydrick Vincent, defensive lineman Chris Hoke -- and, yes, Roethlisberger and running back Jerome Bettis, too -- have gotten far more playing time than projected, and none has been a disappointment.
"We're winning with a lot of guys hurt," linebacker Joey Porter said. "Now we're going to get those guys back for the playoffs. Having a healthy Duce Staley, a healthy Jerome Bettis is priceless. We'll have a healthy Plaxico Burress and a healthy Hines Ward and a healthy Antwaan Randle El, a healthy Clark Haggans. Anybody who's hurt is going to have a chance to get healthy."
For now, the Steelers' most immediate concern is Roethlisberger, who injured his ribs Sunday while being driven to the turf by Baltimore's Terrell Suggs. Roethlisberger had precautionary tests on his ribs, spleen and sternum, but the team will not comment on his condition until Cowher's weekly news conference Tuesday.
The Steelers don't seem overly concerned about his condition -- Cowher has not ruled out playing Roethlisberger on Sunday -- because they have nearly three full weeks before they play their next meaningful game.
If Roethlisberger can't go Sunday, Maddox will make his first start since he injured his right elbow Sept. 19 at Baltimore, thus making Roethlisberger the starter. If Roethlisberger doesn't play, his 13-0 record as a starter will go down as the best in NFL history by a rookie quarterback.
"We recognize that the next season is the playoffs, and that's what we're going to gear ourselves for," Cowher said.
