  1. Yatta, yatta, yatta. It`s a business. Fred would be stealing a spot from any other back on the team. The other three were hall of fame players. Fred is a average rb in his best yrs. Only in Buff ,do some fans think he was the it. Let it go. Move on.

I guess I don't understand why some fans endlessly obsess about useless players like Goodwin, D'rrick and a few unknown scrubs on the practice squad, and then at the same time wish to see a guy who was the most productive RB on the team last year and who has devoted his entire career to the Bills (like Freddie) get cut? Is it really going to make the team better to cut Fred Jackson at the expense of keeping some guy who might play three downs all year?

  2. When the Bills let Bruce, Andre and Thurman go it set the franchise back quite a bit. Maybe that is the team's curse, not Flutie, though that was pretty shittty too. Free agents didn't want to play for a team that would do such a thing to its core members. Letting Fred go this summer would have the same effect on this team. Team morale would reach a significant low and most fans would be ticked not tickled..

    Respectfully:

    - They are not similarly fast. Graham ran a 4.41; Goodwin ran a 4.27. That means that Goodwin is a significantly faster person.

    - Goodwin catches a higher percentage of his targets than Graham.

    - Goodwin made more impact plays as a rookie than Graham made as a second-year man

Graham stinks. Goodwin is a weapon that needs to stay healthy.

    Big difference.

Graham, who stinks, clocked a 4.1 40-time during his combine workouts. Goodwin, who stinks, has also been clocked under 4.20. They are both track stars who cannot catch a football well. Whether they are weapons is highly debatable and remains to be seen. They are players with similar skill sets, and more than likely both are on the bubble to make an NFL roster this season.

  4. I think that Scott Chandler caught the ball pretty well. Steve Smith, Demaryius Thomas and Kelvin Benjamin tied for the league lead in drops last year. I am not sure that I am following the point?

My point is that Goodwin can't catch well and is more on the bubble than Hogan. I also feel that he is the same mold of WR as TJ Graham. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/174208-time-to-label-marquise-goodwin-a-bust/They are both similarly fast, but can't catch well. Graham had better stats over the first two years of their careers, but they both stink.

Goodwin had a far, far greater impact his rookie season than Graham did in his rookie season.

Graham managed only 31 catches on 59 targets as a rookie, gained 14 first downs and got in the end zone 1 time.

Goodwin managed 17 receptions on 32 targets as a rookie, yet gained 13 first downs and scored 3 times.

And in Goodwin's rookie year, Graham had 23 catches (6 more than Goodwin) on 56 targets (23 more than Goodwin), gained 13 first downs (same as Goodwin) and scored 2 TDs (one less than Goodwin). That's despite the fact that Graham played in all 16 games, whereas Goodwin played in only 12.

Again, in terms of impact and performance when given the opportunity, it's not even close. Goodwin is the better player.

Wow, you think those are good stats? They are both terrible WR's who catch less than 50% of passes thrown to them. Goodwin caught one pass all of last year. That is just plain terrible. My point was that Goodwin can't catch well. By the way you are defending him, I guess you think he is a great pass catcher or something?

    1. No. He didn't. Statistically, both Spiller and Lynch were better than Jackson.

    3. Fred ran behind the same caliber OL that Spiller and Lynch ran behind; sometimes, the same exact line.

And Lynch has always just been a lot better than Fred. Lynch is elite.

How can you say that? Lynch was not as good of a blocker and not as good of a pass catcher out of the backfield. He has improved significantly with the Seahags, but was nothing to write home about his first year with them when he didn't have a good supporting cast. The stats you posted above earlier show that Fred had a higher YPC each season he played with Lynch.

Let's not forget that Fred played most of last season injured. A lot of cats wouldn't have been able to come back from that injury as speadily as him.

  7.

How did you come to that conclusion? I don't think I've ever seen him drop a ball.

Lol. You probably haven't seen him catch too many, either..

    Dropping passes is his MO.

http://www.ninersnation.com/2013/2/23/4020412/nfl-draft-2013-marquise-goodwin-scouting-report"He also drops some balls in traffic and when he is wide open."

    NFL Stats:

    2013: 32 targets, 17 catches

    2014: 9 targets, 1 reception

Conclusion: Dude is a TJ Graham clone and never should never have been drafted, let alone in the 3rd round by Bills.

  8. Too bad they can't ban Ernie Adams. That guy (the Pats' Research Director) has likely been responsible for a lot of the cheating. I wonder how many other ways this team has cheated over the past 15 years? There is no way any team can be as good as them without having an edge. It never seems to matter who their players are or whether the coaches had real experience (Josh McDaniels). I'm sure it will all come out in the open someday, but it really stinks. The Pats' penalty for deflating footballs was not severe enough.

  9. I guess I am old fashioned, but I don't understand why there has to be female refs. Is it for gender equality purposes? I wonder what will happen when this girl tries to step between a couple of 300 lb players who are in the middle of punching each other and she accidentally gets smacked in the face? Sports like football are one of the few activities men have left. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can see a lot of guys evenyually losing interest in watching the games. It is already being sissyfied more and more each year.
