save for a blank cheque I cannot see see AB choosing Oakland over Buffalo

Oh Idk. I bet that was his choice all along. Makes no sense to go there but 1)it’s The Raiders. Moving Mack out because they couldn’t afford his bonus money, just to now bring in someone like AB who will be bitching about money and getting the ball again in a year, but whatever.  And 2) there’s enough people on the radio saying it makes perfect sense for him to go there so yeah. It’s been,  as the guy in the AB video said,  the “black and gray” or whatever all along.   But Buffalo AM radio and half the d-bags here will say the Bills suck regardless of what will happen, so nevermind.

It's the atmosphere of this forum in particular, which is absolutely toxic.

I know many Bills fans who religiously stay away from it for that reason alone.

I think it comes from the fact that we have been a door mat franchise for most of our existence.  Some fans hate that and are sick of it, others seem strangely welcoming of that fact or even embracing.  You can see the two camps in the posts in this thread alone.

This creates a lot of tension.  On top of that, all fans would probably like to see us win or enjoy some margin of success every once in a while, but we don't get much of that either.

So the frustration compounds and the tensions increase more.

This is about the closest to accurate description about this place that I’ve read here..  Thank you.

I tend to feel the same way - but the reaction on twitter and elsewhere yesterday was cartoonishly over the top.

I’m well used to the fair share of abuse we get as Bills fans, but was genuinely floored by how extreme it was yesterday.  I’ll definitely think about it and smile as we win the division and hoist the Lombardi.

It was over the top. Serius XM radio was just as bad tonight too.  And reading people trash the team here and then hide behind some cowardly “the truth hurts “ crap is just as bad as what’s been going on the last couple days.  I was hoping to see some concerted Bills mafia-ish effort against some of this but it doesn’t seem like anyone really cares about it this time. Disappointing.  Well, anything like what the OP is suggesting would be a nice idea.

You are for sure right, but that is a tough NFL throw.  He hits that he is already at franchise QB status.  But that is a tough ask for a rookie.  I hope he gets there, but I'm not upset he hasn't hit that throw yet.

I don’t think that pass should have been attempted. If Foster catches that, that defender puts him in the hospital

This game forced that decision as well to an extent. McVay didnt want to give KC the ball back and threw it every play and went 3 and out.

The defenses got stops when they needed them. LA to close out the game, KC in the third to get back into it. It had 3 lead changes in the 4th quarter. LA lead by double digits on two or three separate occasions, and eventually trailed after each one.

How anyone could not say this is a great game is beyond me. It's probably the best game I've watched in the last 5 years, I'd venture 10 would be possible as well.

I wish I could accurately convey to you how stupid you sound by saying this must be millenial football.

You're old and bitter with one foot in the grave, keel over already.

    Ok gotcha

Actually, the game sucked.  It had drama because it was close, but watching Madden for 3 3/4 hours gets tiresome indeed.

Yes. This must be millennial football, idk. It’s all completions and interceptions.  This  wasn’t that great to watch

Not that he knows as much as some of the TBD pundits, but Greg Cosell is on WGR, saying Barkley has a limited skill set, not starter material -  and that the Bills should absolutely start Allen - he needs game time.
    .

Yeah I think you start Allen. Barkley looks to be here long term. He even said he’s here to help in any they need him to do. It looks like Barkley is exactly what the bills were looking for in both AJ and Nate, just way later then was originally hoped.  It’s like the whole plan to have vet presence was knocked back several weeks but now it’s finally on track.

  8. Is there a generally accepted/acknowledged source that determines overall defensive (and offensive) rankings ?

I mean the ESPN power ranking, given its weakness and strengths, seems to be the most “referred to” place for overall ranking, but is there a generally accepted source for offensive and defensive rankings?  This seems to be missing.  A source for overall consensus

Let me ask you a question. Are you blind? Did you not see the Texans player smash his helmet into Josh's elbow. This was a blunt force injury and if you debate that you're crazy.

    Here's the video for you:

    https://twitter.com/meagantownsend/status/1052212802490957824

That’s not the point though.  He was holding that elbow in the GB game. And the next week and onward  on it was one-read, then go consistently. That doesn’t make sense when he’s also taking in and /or shaking apart from defenders head on when running as well. Something didn’t look right in GB and the speculation raised here makes sense when you put things together.  The hit in the Texans game f-ed his elbow up, yes, but it’s plausible that it was already injured (now I’m speculating that the Texans knew this too ).

So although this is just another troll thread (great just what we needed) - I will say since every QB drafted since the beginning has not played in the NFL - all QBs are projects and so any that you consider successful by whatever measure you would like fits the answer.

In realistic terms - the QB that just became the all time leading passer was a 2nd round project.  The guy in third Farve was a 2nd round project.  There are a bunch of Super Bowl winners and Hall of Famers that were 6th round or later and several UDFA’s including guys that were bagging groceries.

Therefore if your question is really about project QB’s - there are a ton of very, ultra successful projects.  If you really mean that JA sucks and this FO should be gone which seems to be your current mission - I saw wait and give it time because many QBs get better after 4 games.

    Great response. Thank you.

We just don’t know what is going on right now. All I know is it’s the coordinators job to coordinate and modify based on the talent and experience.

As as far as QB projects,  I saw a video of Brady and Brees playing against each other in college- interceptions. Inaccurate passes. All that.  We as fans here don’t know jack when it comes to development, accuracy, footwork, grasp  of playbook. Nothing. And don’t let anyone here tell you they do.  Brees was given up on in SD. Farve was traded early.  Goff looked like a disaster his first year.  Gannon was in his 30’s before he turned it around. Warren Moon had to play in Canada to start.  Sorry but we won’t know anything about our rookie for awhile.
