Wow...what an ignorant statement. He was a star in "lower level" Rugby and made waaay more over there doing that. He took a paycut to come here. Just because Rugby isn't big in America...doesn't mean it isn't way bigger than the NFL in the UK.....cause it is!

Guessing whoever that was you responded to doesn’t care, but still..  Wade played for Wasps in the Premiership.  For those who don’t understand a word of that, Wasps are a premier league team from Coventry England. To describe Wade in relation to an NFL player,  he was the rugby equivalent of Shady McCoy in the top Rugby league in the UK. He made probably 400k a year.  He also turned down an offer from the Leicester Tigers to keep trying with the Bills.

That’s kind of a funny way to put it - the Pegulas ARE “the people who run the Sabres.”  And they refuse to hire anyone with an actual track record, because of course, they know better.

Also. I should have realized at the time of the Lafontaine fiasco that there is something seriously wrong there. I wish I knew the real story behind that

I guess what I’m saying is that, even though mcBeane were those same people without a track record at the time, thier situation today is what it is.  I should have said Adams instead of “the people running the Sabres”.  Unfortunately, you’re right about first timers and the Pegulas and our only hope is that they eventually hit on the right people for the Sabres. But I still stand on saying the two teams are not the same. How they got there, though -  yes I agree with you but it is what it is now.

  4. Whether the Pegulas regret it or not, they have stepped away from mgmt of the Bills because McBeane can be trusted to let that happen.  The Sabres are no where near that. Regardless of ownership meddling, the people running the Sabres can’t be trusted. A novice football fan can see the difference between the Bills and anyone they play against. The Bills have a QB who can throw the s%it out the football and now, even accurately with receivers who seem always open. Most of thier competition can’t do that. A novice hockey fan can visibly see the difference in play between the Sabres and anyone they play.  A Sabre can’t skate 10 feet with the puck without someone getting all up on thier ass, meanwhile everyone they play against can consistently March right up the center of the rink right to the net untouched.  Point is, although anything can happen during the year, even the novice can visibly see that these two teams are not the same.

Maybe we need to wait for the contract details.. but wasn't this board previously touting 10mil/year for Milano as walk-away from the table money?

I think what you’re saying is right, but that was with the belief that 10 mil would be on the books this coming season, which would have complicated what to do about Williams, Feliciano, etc.  which is fair to criticize .  Since finding out that only 7 mil is on the books this year as a result does improve things when it comes to that. Now I’m thinking if we can’t Sign Williams and/or Feliciano etc, the  Milano deal really isn’t the driving factor now .

To be fair to Milano, a LB covering TEs is pretty much always a terrible match that every team with a good TE will try to target. I think Milano is definitely one of the better cover LBs in the nfl.

And, I think the real issue is.. where’s our TE that makes it tough on opposing LB’s to cover them?

It’s getting to the point where Wright is making this a comedy bit.  He’s agreed to do a Pinto Ron challenge with Colin Cowherd.  Obviously this was orchestrated by FOX, but it’s something fun at least

Bomani Jones is the dude who fans should direct their hate at

The best thing to do here is to ignore him if he shows up

IMO the Bills play their starters and play to win. That guaranteed second home playoff game is too important to leave in the hands of another team (Browns) to secure it for them. The players want to play this game for the organization and the fans. I can’t believe they would be in favor of risking a loss and potentially pimping the fans on a second home playoff game.

No doubt if the Bills are solidly ahead in the second half they will start pulling key players from the game, but not until then.

This and I’m sure they got someone with a headset and a TV set upstairs. Whether it’s a half or a full game or whatever, They are going to play to win until they dont have to.
