He needs to change that one of the best talk because you have to think you have the #1 QB throwing to you.

Yeah then the national media picks up and it becomes a story that newly drafted potential #1 WR thinks Allen is better than Mahomes, and then the bills fans with pitchforks are out claiming he's starting unnecessary drama, and bulletin board material for the chiefs, and then god forbid we lose to the chiefs then people will trace it all back to this dude claiming Josh Allen is the best.

I don't agree with any of the above takes, and think it would be a non issue if he said it, but those 👆 people up there will dramatize it guaranteed.

I mean, the actual Tyreek Hill was passed over 32 times in 4 different rounds. So the fact that 27 teams passed over him doesn’t mean much to me.

That being said, I really didn’t want Worthy either. I just don’t want us to hand KC who they want.

The point is that there is no consensus that he is tyreek hill "2.0" until he proves it. You guys are drawing parallels simply bc the guy is fast and was drafted by the chiefs. If he went to any other team, no one would be calling him tyreek hill "2.0". No one.

No way to know. But even if they would have, it shouldn’t have been through our handing him to them.

We are the joke of the NFL right now. Seeing stuff like this everywhere (and Greeny was a Bills ally all last season, defending us when no-one else would):

Im not one for cussing, but it pisses me off.

The guy is tyreek hill 2.0 and 27 other teams said "no thanks"? Think Ill wait and see before feeling "sick" about a 160lb wr the FO didnt even want.

More like 1st rounder and three second rounders.

2020 we used a 1st rounder to get Diggs. That is using draft capital for offense.

I think that's equally as bad a take. This dude could be solid.

The frustration is more so that we're headed for yet another season of underwhelming weapons for Josh to throw to. This has been going on for years. Yes, I know the offseason isn't over yet but people have also been saying that for years and then it's still not fixed. I'm not sure how Beane/McD get the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Out of last 5 years we've used 3 1st and 2 2nd rounders on offense.

What are you even talking about right now?  I DON'T CARE how the Chiefs don't end up with Worthy, if in some alternative reality they didn't pick him.  I don't care who they picked up at that spot.  Why are you focusing on the player they selected?  I'm not.  All I am saying is you DON'T trade with your biggest rival.  Who else does that?  If you don't think there are a lot of Buffalo Bills players who  feel surprised/angry/shocked that we traded with KC, I don't know what to tell you.  It's a horrible look for the franchise right now and it continues to align with the narrative that KC is the bully on the block and we can't do/won't do a damn thing about it.

So you refuse to see the potential for it to work out ok for the Bills and even be a gain because you perceive the risk to make the chiefs better too great but you also refuse to consider how the Chiefs would have gotten the player they wanted anyway.

    Ok.

That's not the point.  You don't trade with your BIGGEST rival.  I don't care what you gain from it.  Andy Reid and Mahomes will continue to be our dad and grandad until they both retire, unless we grow some balls and do something about it.

Why? Because it hurts your feelings? You haven't given a single other reason, nor have you explained how the Chiefs don't end up with Worthy either way.

Unless you suggest we took Worthy despite not wanting him? That does not sound like a great strategy.

It's also REALITY.  How can you possibly look at what has transpired between the Bills and the Chiefs going back to the 2017 draft and not feel the same?

Explain how the Chiefs don't get a WR at 32? The Bills clearly didnt want Worthy. They extorted a pick out of the Chiefs for the privilege of moving up for him.

If the Bills dont trade and take a WR, the chiefs get Worthy.

If the Bills dont trade and take a CB, the chiefs get Worthy.

If the Bills trade with another team and that team takes Worthy - Chiefs pick one of the other WR options at 32

The chiefs dont have a great history of picking WRs either so some people nominating this guy Hill 2.0 is crazy. I remember when Skye Moore was selected this place was annoyed as well.

  9. I came to see what he said that was so cryptic bc i dont want to feed the media, and this has got to be the most ridiculous "cryptic" tweet to go on lmao. "ready for whatever" gets fans to say "IM DONE WITH THIS DRAMA QUEEN" "TRADE HIM" "GET RID OF HIM"

Like honestly at this point he is trolling the media, and the media is trolling you.

This whole Chiefs dynasty falls on one man and one man only, in hindsight.

    Sean McDermott

He is the one who traded the pick to KC that they used to take Mahomes because he "hadn't had time to study the QB class" even though his owner wanted Mahomes.

I literally felt like he should have been fired last night for making us all endure this. If Mahomes comes to Buffalo in 2017, he never turns into the QB he did.

Do the texans take him instead of watson?

I just watched an hour long video by Greg Tompsett going over a possible 10-15 moves that would result in the Bills being 30-40 million under the cap while obviously creating some holes that will need to be filled with that space. None of them involved the $31,096,000 in dead cap that trading Diggs will create.

I'd just love to hear a detailed breakdown of how the Bills can do this and field a competitive team in 2024... B-)

I am assuming the below isn't true then? Honestly asking as I am not an expert on the cap.

    49 minutes ago, Warriorspikes51 said:

this is simply not true.  The Bills can create 19 million in cap space this year if he’s traded and it’s designated post June 1st

that you’ve curated a hyper bills focused media bubble doesnt make this big news

and that his sketchy answers and behavior are being acknowledged doesn’t mean they are creating a narrative out of thin air

Out of thin air? No. There is plenty to talk about given his lack of usage in the last half of the season. What is being done is put his comments under a magnifying glass to add an air of excitement and speculation.

For all Diggs knows is he could be traded, who knows? All he knows is his part and he will be ready. There is no better answer that would stop the speculation.

Edit: and to also pretend that the media isnt writing constantly about Diggs (both national and local) and that I myself just "curated" this media because of my internet history is straight up dishonest lmao.

“Yes I do think i’ll be back. We have unfinished  business.”

    It’s really not that hard.

Even if he ended up being wrong and the team traded/cut him, who would ever hold it against him for saying he’ll be back to win a championship? Literally nobody. Ever.

I love Diggs but this is one area that he could get better with.

Or maybe he does it on purpose just to get the media riled up 🤷🏻‍♂️. Who knows.

Last year he said all the right things after the drama with the coaching staff and the media still took jabs at him wanting to be here. So sorry, I do not believe the media would let up. They know what generates clicks and run with it. The idea that Diggs can answer with something that they can't write about assumes the Media is bad at what they do.

I think you are overstating how eager the media are to create a story with I mid tier WR1 in a low end media market. mostly  they are just reporting the basics of a situation and said WR creates drama that is acknowledged by them

he simply could come out full throated and say “you know my brothers wild with those comments, but I love him…. And I love playing in Buffalo.”

The amount of notifications from articles writing about this even before his comments says you are wrong. The media is very eager to write about a top WR possibly switching teams. It generates views for them. We saw this all year long. And all offseason long bc he was angry about the pathetic performance against the bengals. They certainly aren't writing about it because there is legitimate news on this. The media loves speculation and were going to talk about Diggs moving on regardless of whether or not he says "I'm looking forward to coming back next year" or "I can't tell you what the future holds, but ill be ready". If you really think the media would stop because he said the former and is only writing about it because he said the latter, then I am sorry, that's just silly.

  15. 1 hour ago, Einstein said:

Good point. And it’s for this same reason that we can’t restructure him. It would just add more of his money to next year.

I love Diggs. He is my 2nd favorite player (behind Josh). But he does bring some of the media attention upon himself. Instead of giving a cryptic response, a simple “I look forward to being a Bill next year” would take all the power out of the medias hands. But instead of doing that, he does the cryptic stuff. Maybe it’s just fun for him?

This is silly. "I look forward to being a Bill next year" would have undoubtedly led to a follow up of whether he thinks he will be here. Then he'd say "I can't tell you what the future holds, I just know I'll be ready..." and the media would run with it.

You can't take the "power" out of the media's hands because they aren't looking for the truth. They are looking for whatever will generate readership and will spin the story to that end.

A ball gets caught, a ball gets dropped, a guy fumbles reaching for the end zone……you have ample points of interest.

    I just call it sports.

Guy fumbles at the goal line and the Bills go on to win, and people say it was rigged the other way.

The NFL isnt stupid enough to get into bed while gambling and also fix games at the same time. There isnt an incentive to do so. The only time I'd come close to it is the NFL eyeballing all the interest in Taylor Swift and nudging officials to give the chiefs the edge and get them there. Other than that, what would possibly be worth it it to fix games?

Yeah but if the curse holds Sunday, those KC fans get a fleeting moment of happiness from beating the Bills in these epic battles and then crash and burn just like 31 other teams. I kinda like that.  They’re not getting another Lombardi off beating Buffalo.

Thats why it is so amusing that they throw 13 seconds in our faces as if they didn't go on the next week to score 3 points in 40 minutes against the Bengals and blow a 21 to 3 lead. I find that more humiliating than allowing a fg in 13 seconds when a team has 2 timeouts on the 25 yard line.

Or to not score a touchdown in a super bowl after beating us in the conference championship.

27-24 - Josh Allen and offense 3 plays -2 yards

27-24 - Defense forces Chiefs punt

27-24 - Josh Allen and offense drive down the field and come away with zero points

So many opportunities for Josh to put this one away. He fell short. He will get back up and we will be in the thick of it next year.

  20. Not nearly enough injuries? Are you kidding? I am actually impressed McDermott did what he did with what he had the last 6 weeks. This game was not going to be a defensive battle given the QB we were facing.

Allen had the ball and game in his hands and I am not saying he is not good or can't do it or anything, but he botched it as bad as Bass botched the field goal. He had the opportunity and missed. That's not on the defense, they gave us the opportunity with two huge stops at the end.
