  2. We're meeting friends from Catskill NY at the Bills vs Eagles Game this year.  We're flying into Buffalo but they are driving their RV to the game and traveling from Catskill NY.  Is there any parking available for them in a RV Buffalo Bills Lot at the Game or any for purchase ahead of time?  Please let us know how we can secure parking with our RV.  Any information or help you can give would be greatly appreciated.  Feel Free to Email me at coach85@aol.com.

    Thanks,

  3. Do we have to purchase tickets for RV Parking ahead of time for Bills Eagles?  Are there any RV tickets even available for purchase or do we just purchase tickets as we pull up at the Stadium that day in our RV?  Please advise and Go Buffalooooooo!

    Thanks,

Ok so you’re whining the Bills didn’t draft Butler or Metcalf but still like the first 4 picks.. Sounds like a contradiction to me.

Whining??  I "preferred" Metcalf and (or) Butler at the time of those third and fourth selections BUT quite happy with who they picked instead, especially after doing more research on both selections.   I would hardly call that "whining" or "contradicting".  Maybe you have "Schoopitis" and try to overanalyze and overthink things in only a negative light?  Lol

    Trust the Process

  5. Other than not being able to Draft D.K. Metcalf when he started to slide to the end of the 2nd Round or at least get Hakeem Butler in the 3rd Round, I really liked the Bills Draft AGAIN this year, especially the first 4 picks.  The Bills probably end up with two immediate starters in Oliver and Ford with possibly two other starters (Singletary and Knox) by the end of the year if things play out right.  In 2018 we had another AWESOME Draft where we FINALLY secured our Franchise QB in Josh Allen, a Stud MLB in Tremaine Edwards, Taron Johnson was a Beast when healthy and WR Robert Foster was a Surprising and Spectacular Undrafted Free Agent.  Oh, by the way, we TRADED UP TWICE to get those TWO key cogs in Allen and Edwards to lead our Off and Def respectively for easily the next decade.  Both of these Drafts under the McDermott and Beane Combo have been solid (although our 2019 picks still have to prove themselves on the NFL field).

Our GM and Head Coach have spent their entire first two years together trying to clean up the COMPLETE MESS they inherited from Doug Whaley and Rex Ryan with regards to Contracts and Overall Talent.  I would say they are doing an Excellent job in BOTH these areas so far.    What I can't understand is when a Report comes out the day before the Draft that the Bills might be interested in moving up in the Draft to #3 to get Quinnen Williams, why does a WGR Talk Show Host (Schoop) go on a Negative Rant for HOURS comparing a possible move like this with EVERYTHING that has transpired with the Bills over the past 20 so years and he goes on to complain that the Bills don't have a clue what they're doing and never will with moves like this???
Isn't he a talk show host?   Its a different time, different players involved, different organizational leaders at GM and Head Coach, etc.......AND more importantly, these two guys have done nothing but put the Bills in a much better position both with Talent AND Cap Situation than we've ever had in the past 20 years.  They did NOT make the Trade to move up because they DO know what they are doing BUT if they did, I would believe in their professional judgement because up until this point, most of their decisions (other than Peterman and Benjamin) have been pretty spot on and I'm happy with where the Bills Team is right now.  Trust the Process!   Thoughts????

  6. My wife, 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter are driving from Mclean Virginia to Buffalo and Niagra Falls this upcoming weekend to Celebrate our 8 Year Wedding Anniversary.  We already have our 4 Game Tickets but not sure where we can hang out and Tailgate before the game?  I want our children to experience the AWESOME Bills Mafia at some point of our trip and also would like to meet Howard, Jeremy and Sal C. from WGR.  Anyone have any suggestions????

I would normally see this as a bright spot in ANOTHER crap season, but we have the same clowns picking players so even that is a downer. I would say tank the rest of the season for the #3-4 pick, but what would it matter. These clowns will screw it up.

And you KNOW what is going to happen right? Manzel comes out and is #1 and there will still be 2-3 NFL ready type QB's (unlike EJ who had no business being picked in the first) and Buffalo will bypass them because they have EJ.

And why not? isn't that how it normally goes for the Bills fans?

    Great Post!
  8. If the Pats have locked up a specific playoff position, I think they might be sitting some top players that last game of season vs Bills. I really believe the Bills can win out if they play to their potential and remain relatively healthy. Yes, the Jet game can possibly be an issue but all remaining games can be won and in some cases, SHOULD BE WON. If it was Jauron or Gailey leading the team, I probably wouldn't be so optimistic but boy I'm psyched to see how good we can be with our team finally getting almost fully healthy and expecting EJ to continue to grow and get better game by game. Heck, the whole team is getting better! If EJ remains just average the rest of the year, it might not be a bad idea to look at taking one of the top QB's coming out next year, and their are ALOT of them (although I might not use a !st rounder on one). Maybe one of these days we'll draft a game changing TE too. I like Chandler but I don't think he's a difference maker and he's taken some penalties at the worst times this year in a game. I know one thing though, if Chandler goes out with any kind of injury, we're screwed at that position this year. Don't quite think Gragg is ready for Prime Time.

  9. Interesting... I never heard anyone bringing such a young child to a game... I was thinking maybe 8-9 was pushing it. My son was 10 for his first game. I just figured that you would want them to actually remember the event.

Anyway... Did they charge you a ticket for your child? I think a poster asked, not sure if it was answered?

Our boy was FREE but my wife and I spent a nice chunk of change on two new white "Spiller" jerseys, 2 warm hats, gloves and scarf for the wife. Our son already had all his New Bill gear before we even made the trip. Just wish we knew ahead of time where the Hammer lot was so we could have finally met some Forum members.
  10. Hey COACH85 -- I was a vocal detractor in your thread inquiring about bringing a one-year-old to a pro football game, but I'm glad you made it out unscathed. My opinion hasn't changed, and I think your post-game post reflects even you acknowledge the challenges presented by the situation.

I'll end my comments on the topic with one question: for whom did you do this? If you say you did it for your son, you're not being honest.

To be honest, we didn't really put much thought into "who we were doing this for". All we knew was that we wanted to see the Sabres and Bills for a weekend before it got any colder in the season and knew our chances of us doing this as a family again next year would be very hard pressed with "2" little ones to take care of so we figured why not Go For It Now! We ALWAYS take him with us to these big sporting events and we have fun having him with us, even if he will never remember the game. It will be cool to share pictures with him when he's older and hopefully he will be a Die Hard Bills fan like Mommy and Daddy too. The only difference this time was that he can walk now so we kind of expected he would get restless halfway or three quarters of the way through a game and that we might have to leave, which we promptly did so as to not ruin things for the people around us. The only way we will be able to go to a Bills and (or) Sabres game in the future will have to be for a getaway weekend and leave the 2 kids home. THEN, I can honestly say that we will be doing that for US! LOL We're still glad we brought him though. :)

  11. yea but in this case, the child was so young that he couldnt really enjoy the sporting event. otherwise, id agree with your sentiment.

not to put words in the OPs mouth, but my impression was this was a little less about the actual game and more about giving the son (and maybe himself) the badge of honor of saying "i attended my first game at 1 year old"

It was also about getting to a Bills game now before it gets any colder then it already is and also because once my wife gives birth to our second child in March, I doubt very much we will be able to attend these sporting events until BOTH kids are older and not so dependent on Mommy and Daddy to take care of them. :)

  12. Glad you guys had fun. Personally, I probably wouldn't bring a small child to a Bills regular season home game but that's just me (preseason or Toronto games are fine though). I would like to but it's just not a good environment for young kids imo. I would almost equate it to bringing them to a bar. I probably wouldn't get to enjoy the game too much because I would be worried about them the whole time, but again that's just me. I'd be cool with bringing them to Sabres games but Bills games are a little more rowdy and the people are a lot more drunk. Not to mention the cold weather and wind. I've sat in certain sections where I couldn't believe what was happening around me and I'm an adult (swearing, fights, drunk people acting crazy, drug use, rudeness, etc). Glad you had a good experience though!

Yup, agreed, my wife and I both said the same thing. As much fun as we had, it would have been even more fun if we didn't have to constantly worry about the safety and well being of our child. Oh well, you live and you learn. We're still glad we did this though so at least now we know things firsthand. I'll tell you one thing though that was a MAJOR BONUS, the ice crew (which was right next to our seats) at the Sabres game gave us an OFFICIAL NHL HOCKEY PUCK for our son as a keepsake. I don't think we would have gotten that without him being there with us! LOL

Cool Post..........did you have to pay for the lil guy?

Nope, he was FREE but man was he getting heavy to lug around alllllllllllll day! WE DEFINITELY PAID THE PRICE IN OTHER WAYS! LOL
