  1. Me and all my friends We're all misunderstood

They say we stand for nothing and,

There's no way we ever could

Now we see everything that's going wrong With the world and those who lead it

We just feel like we don't have the means To rise above and beat it

  2. I can see very well
There's a boat on the reef with a broken back
And I can see it very well
There's a joke and I know it very well
It's one of those that I told you long ago
Take my word, I'm a madman, don't you know

  3. He used to say soulshine,
    It's better than sunshine,
    It's better than moonshine,
    Damn sure better than rain.
    Yeah now people don't mind,
We all get this way sometime,
Got to let your soul shine, shine till the break of day.

  4. Now I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
    The baffled king composing Hallelujah

  5. And I'd like to change my life, and you know I would
Just to be with you tonight, baby, if I could
But I've got my job to do, and I do it well, oh
(Change my life, change my life)
So I guess that's how it is

    Ooh, wishing you were here
    Ooh, wishing you were here
Ooh, wishing you were here (Wishing you were here)
Wishing you were here (You were here)

  6. So I drifted on down from the Iron Ore Range
Across the wide Missouri where the cool waters flow
When I got to Topeka I looked up your name
But they said you rode off with the last rodeo

    Sweet Amarillo
    Tears on my pillow
    You never will know
    How much I cried
    Sweet Amarillo
Like the wind in the willows
    Damn this old cowboy
    For my foolish pride

  7. Dancing madly backwards
    Dancing on a sea
    Racing on my memories
I'm glad I set my dreams

    Tip toe, tip toe quickly
    Forget about your cares
    And remember underneath you
Is just a sea of air
    Just remember underneath you
Is just a sea of air

  8. What I feel, I can't say
But my love is there for you anytime of day
But if it's not love that you need
Then I'll try my best to make everything succeed

Tell me, what is my life without your love
Tell me, who am I without you, by my side

  9. They call it stormy Monday, yes but Tuesday's just as bad
Wednesday's even worse; Thursday's awful sad

The eagle flies on Friday, Saturday I go out to play
Sunday I go to church where I kneel down and pray

  10. Later I tried to call you
Your mama told me you weren't there
She told me don't bother to call again
Unless I cut off all my hair
I get so tired of sneakin' around
Just to get to your back door
I crawled past the garbage and
    Your mama jumped out, screamin'
    "Don't come back no more"
My guitar wants to kill your mama
My guitar wants to kill your mama
My guitar wants to burn your dad
I get real mean when it makes me mad

  11. I hold many great memories from my childhood about Christmas and the yearly traditions that go with it. It is kinda sad that people don't value those traditions that much anymore.

My family had a greenhouse business, so Christmas was a big deal. There were wreaths to be made, ( ah, the smell of fresh cut pine boughs) and decorated. The greenhouse was full of poinsettias and cyclamen and other holiday plants that delightfully decorated the inside. The whole family (Aunts, Uncles, cousins) gathered to help with decorating, delivering and such. At the end all that would be left were a couple plants that no one wanted and maybe a wreath or two.

Everything culminated with Christmas Eve dinner. Everyone gathered to celebrate in our Grandparents house and after a good dinner, the sweets were laid out. There were every kind of cookie known to man, Christmas pie and cakes, and the only thing that was not home made were a couple of kuechens from the Genesee Bakery a christmas tradition that was "Oh so good" .(still is)

After deserts and coffee, the adults would peel off for a cocktail, and all the kids would chase each other around the mostly empty greenhouse playing tag or some other game.

When things settled down we would all open a couple of presents, and then it was time for the older kids and adults to head off to midnight mass. The younger kids were put to bed and coerced to go to sleep, otherwise Santa wouldn't show up. Of course Santa always did show up. He may have not had exiting expensive toys but every kid got a present from Santa.

Christmas day featured another great dinner and deserts, and the day ended with all gathering together for stories (many we heard again and again) from the olden days. I didn't always appreciate this part of the day when I was young, but as I got older this was my favorite part of the holiday.

  12. I got it all together now with my very own disco clothes, hey
My shirt's half open to show you my chain and the spoon for up my nose
    I am really somethin', that's what you'd prob'ly say
    So smoke your little smoke
Drink your little drink while I dance the night away

  13. You know when there's thunder
    There should be rain
But it don't always follow the rule, no
And is the wise man always right?
No, he can play the fool

    It's always a mystery
Not what it seems to be
    It's always a mystery
    Just like you and me
    Always a mystery

  14. Last night it snowed for the first time
    Everything's covered in white
How many months till the springtime
    It's a long winter's night

I have to go, I feel I'm sinkin'
    I just don't know
    But I can't stop thinkin'
    Mexico

  15. I always was creeped out by this song about a guy dying in the ambulance after he was in a plane crash. He describes in detail how mangled and bloody his body was and how he fealt through the whole thing.

The song was based on a band member that was involved in a small plane crash and subsequentially died.

The band, Bloodrock, in my opinion was a solid rockband for its time, featuring John Nitzinger, one of my favorite guitarist.

Weed is the next big government revenue cash engine across the United States.  It just makes too much money to ignore in a time period of pensions and pretty much every state government flat broke and desperate for cash.  With so many states either losing taxpayers or no longer generating replacement taxpayers, it's an attractive revenue source.

After that, it'll be legalized prostitution.  Sounds wild, but it'll find its way into conversation.  Think about the billions you'd make from a casino that offers booze, gambling, weed, and prostitution for however much money you've got.  You''ll grease a lot of palms with that revenue.

    There fixed it for you.

  17. Sugar Plum Fairy came and hit the streets
Looking for soul food and a place to eat
    Went to the Apollo
You should've seen them go, go, go
    They said, "Hey, sugar,
Take a walk on the wild side."
    I said, "Hey, babe,
Take a walk on the wild side."
    All right, huh

  18.

These guys were local to our neighborhood. Saw them many times at the Arcade and Red Creek. They went on to be a national act, and I actually saw them in the 80's in Phoenix.

My Roomate was a drinking acquaintence of Greg Walker, and Greg once gave him 4 of their albums (including this one) as a souvenir when he visited his studio, they are one of his prized possessions to this day.

This is one of I and the wife's all time favorites. We played it yesterday, before dinner. We all even sang it in 4 part harmony (after it came around on the guitar again)

  20. Gypsies danced around the campfire, shook their tambourines
They were waiting for the ghost of an outlaw, Sundown was his name
As the midnight hour grew closer and the sky began to fall
You can see their shadows in the light of the moon
They had heard the gypsies' call

    Ooh, hurry Sundown
