Yahoo article by Nick Mendola says "Brandon, Whaley and Marrone will remain under the new ownership". Now is that with Mary Wilson in charge or NEW owners?
Mary Wilson

It is certainly possible. I have a feeling that it isn't Pegula but I have no idea why I have that feeling. My best guess is the group that Kelly assembled is the front runner. Just a feeling
I always found it interesting that Pegula bought a sports agency with some NFL Clients, started the Pegula Sports and Entertainment Group and self financed the building of the HarborCenter in Downtown Buffalo. I think he would be willing to pay 300-400 million of his own money to get a new stadium built. Kelly's Group probably is the front runner, but who is to say Pegula has not agreed to become a primary investor in it? Pure speculation on my part of course.

Do we have a lawyer here? I'm not so sure about this.
The Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, who is a lawyer, plus Marc Ganis who a stadium lease guru, he helped the Rams and Raiders leave LA, both said no this is not possible.

OR....They told Ralph they would keep them here just to BS him into being the front runner. Not everyone is honest in Business, sorry to bust that bubble.
If the Wilson Estate wants to keep the team in Buffalo, a non relocation clause will be in the purchase agreement. Goliasno put one in the sale of the Sabres to Pegula, so they could not be moved.

I know that when the Hornets/Pelicans sold it was about a year and a half process. There were really 3 candidates from that point on (Benson, Chouest and the bathing suit company guy whose name escapes me).
This leads me to believe that we are not starting from scratch if a sale could be done in October. I feel pretty confident that any candidates that RW may have talked to intended on keeping the team in WNY. I don't think that he was opening negotiations with an LA group for example.
I wonder if the parameters for a sale of the team including a purchase price were put in place by Ralph and the prospective ownership group a while ago. It's interesting that Jason LaCanfora reported the name that most often came up with the other owners during the recent meetings was Terry Pegula. It maybe wishful thinking on my part.

It is for a guy like Pegula... I know all the issues with Sabres... But he does have the coin! And, he is a Buffalo backer.
I remember Ed Kilgore from Channel 2 during his final few months on the air, speaking about the fact he had spoken to a potential ownership group who does have the money to purchase the team and possibly build a new stadium in WNY. A short time later he went to work for Terry Pegula, could he be the potential owner Kilgore was referring to?

Can the Bills get to the point where negotiations consist of "hey do you want to play for us?"

I can't see one of the other AFC East Teams stepping up to challenge them for the division title yet.

Update from Brandon via JW.
http://bigstory.ap.org/article/bills-hit-reset-contract-talks-s-byrd
Brandon provided an update on another front. Without going into detail, he said he's had discussions with Rogers Communications regarding the team's concerns about its annual "Bills In Toronto" series.Brandon questioned the benefits of the series following a 34-31 overtime loss to Atlanta at Toronto on Dec. 1. He wondered about the Bills possibly giving away a home-field edge by playing indoors.
Brandon has not ruled out the possibility of the Bills pulling out of the remaining four years of the series.

You maybe right, but would a group wanting to move the team to Toronto allow for the postponement of the series,no matter how underwhelming it has been?
