  1. It's funny how you make such statements off of one pre-season game. Here's Taylor in his rookie year against the Redskins.....game winning, two minute drive with no timeouts.

Okay He's really good at passing then ? I make my statements off of the 30 times I have watched Deshaun Watson, the guys not scared to pass 60 times if need be. I watched Taylor at VT as well, he improved every year but never mastered pocket passing.

He needs to improve his anticipation/decisiveness in his 7th year.

Back to Watson please, apologies I'm a 757 guy too, I know you're pulling for him.

  2. Yea I rather fear it becomes a partisan Watson v Taylor thing which it shouldn't be. I wanted the Bills to pick him, we didn't, life goes on. You can think Watson is good and will be good in this league without it being anti-Bills sentiment.

I don't want to make it that but jmo of course I wanted to cut ties and nab Trubisky or Watson.

It'll turn to that so I'll refrain.

  3. much more decisive and based off his first preseason game he looks like he and the texans may take down brady and company and go on to be the mvp of the sb.

all kidding aside, he did look poised in some plays, not so much in others. I have never been one to get too excited over a preseason game. he may go on to have a decent career, he may not, time will tell...

If TT can be quick and decisive like Watson he might be somebody.

I'm basing my opinion off Watsons entire body of work.

he looks like he and the texans may take down brady and company ..?

Wouldn't surprise me at all. That defense was giving the pats hell in the playoff game and they could have won if fuller/Brock O didn't disappoint.

  4. Here's the link to every one of Watson's plays last night. I guess for a rookie he looked ok, but certainly not great. Some really bad misses downfield. Also taking a LOT of time to read the field. Best throw of the night was late in the 3rd quarter (about 4:45 into the video). Big chunk of his yardage was a meaningless sideline throw at the end of the first half.

I don't know how anyone could draw conclusions (good or bad) from that performance. I saw a QB who has a ways to go.

Just watched. Looks way more decisive than our guy no ?

Anyone else stand out from last night for the panthers ?

  5. Me too. In the 4 years I have been properly trying to evaluate draft prospects they are the best 3 Quarterbacks I have evaluated.

I think all will have long and distinguished NFL careers. And that isn't me overreacting to tonight.... I thought that about Watson before a single team turned in a card in April. I also think Houston was the perfect landing spot.

Agree, and I think he would've been a solid Bill as well with those sweet play action daggers over the middle.

Oh well. What's another few years. Lol

  6. I never said that you did. Look back at some of the posts. You will see that is essentially what some are already saying. This is why I said that overreactions are amuck.

I'm fine putting my name on Jameis Mariota and Watson

    Have a take. Be bold.

I still think rg3 pre injury was cash money

  7. Wow. Watson looked decent, but the overreactions here are funny. I've always believed a rookie QB who performs extremely poorly in his debut is cause for concern. Otherwise it's difficult to predict much if anything from these games. DeShaun fans will love this performance, the other side will remain skeptical.

Deshaun will be solid. Easy to see if you watched a lot of Clemson games jmo

i didnt watch the game but Watson is a star. he's at least as good as Dak (who might be a tad overrated so don't everyone get your panties in a bunch) and could have a similar type year given that the Texans are pretty decent at every position except QB (much like the Cowboys were)

    Somewhere between Dak/Mariota/Jameis imo

  8. He did, but he also tore a thumb ligament on his throwing hand towards the end of that game. MAJBobby and Maury have been trolling around claiming that an injured third string quarterback is statistically equivalent to Tom Brady.

Yeah. Let that settle in, and then decide if you want to hop into this.

Can you show me the link where I said anything about Brissett/Brady ?

I'm just sitting here laughing at the if's and hypotheticals.

Please don't add me to the tall tales of the CoT. You're trying too hard.

I'll continue to say it-if the defense/ST holds for one minute in the Miami game and TT plays against the Jets, two more wins.

If Marylyn Monroe wasn't banging JFK, it would've been me

    I'll continue to say that

  9. It takes a while for people who worshiped QBs in the draft to admit they aren't who they thought they were. There's the usual five stages of grief. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, then finally acceptance.

Stupid Raiders, Stupid Cowboys, Stupid Buccaneers, Stupid Panthers, Stupid Titans, Stupid Colts.

Why draft a qb when you can just pretend edwardsfitzlosmanbrohmtaylor is good enough

Yet people lost their damn minds when we didnt select him

What would people be doing now?

    They did ? Link ?

I remember one poster who talked about him max

  10. SO SICK OF THIS LIE. You all realize, this "16th in scoring defense" is total BS right? You want to know why we were "16th"? Because of ONE fluke shoutout with NO BRADY, NO JIMMY, and essentially NO GRONK facing a rookie QB with a hurt throwing hand.

Guess what...in the other 15 games without a BLATANT anomaly, our defense was 26th in the NFL is scoring allowed. So in 94% of our games, we were among the 6 worst teams on defense in the NFL, but you clinically obsessed people with hating on Taylor in any way you can, REFUSE to acknowledge how bad the def REALLY was. It was atrocious.

And considering Brady dropped 41 points on us a few weeks later when he wasn't suspended, had he played in week 4 they likely score enough to drop us to 28th in the NFL which would have made us a bottom 4 Defense last year.

AND NOBODY can PRETEND we still shut out the Pats with Brady. We probably give up 30 plus with even Jimmy playing. Again, still putting us in bottom 4.

So for christ sake, SHUTUP with this nonsense we were AVERAGE on defense because of one skewed stat from a complete fluke and anomaly given EXTRAORDINARY circumstances like the GOAT at QB being replaced with a crappy rookie QB with a hurt throwing hand.

Does this theoretical make them worse than the Raiders, Packers, Dolphins and Falcons D ?

  11. Oh dear. They've completely lost the ability to form cohesive thought. Sorry about that.

    Swaggy 7-9 guy

    You win.

Starters? Goff for sure but Osweiler may not even hold onto that gig.

Man, your outlook is bleak. 17 years out the playoffs has beaten you down.

(me too but not this bad)

    And Fitz too!? Yikes.

You're entitled to your opinion.... but damn.

Watch the Steelers/raiders/pats game w Brady again

    It's pretty busted dude.

  12. So you're just going to pretend that you weren't wrong about 2011 & 2013 huh?

McCoy did not do as well in 2014 with Foles and Sanchez. He had the second most yards of his career in 2014, but his yards per attempt were tied for the second lowest of his career. So that means he just had a high volume with Foles and Sanchez, and he had some pretty putrid games if you actually go check them out. His yards per attempt in 2016 with Tyrod were over a full yard more than in 2014 (5.4 vs 4.2) AND his receiving stats were more than twice as good in 2016 than 2014.

    You done yet?

Yes I think I am done with the deep dive of excuses.

I didn't know Vick in 2011 was also Tyrod in costume

Foles started 1o games in 13 btw
