  1. Why not give them the Wonderlic, as well...

"Unruly football fans booted from NFL stadiums this year will be required to pass a code-of-conduct exam, or they will not be allowed back in for another game."

I am hoping in the very near future to make the 6.5 hour drive to the Ralph with my 11 year old son, who has never visited the shrine. I do wonder sometimes how I will explain the guy next to him barfing all over himself while screaming F bombs left and right. Being a wild, supportive fan doesn't mean being a jerk.

I'm all for this new policy.

  2. Gosh. This says it all.

I think its genetic, if you were born before 1980 (1968), to really hate the Fish.

But its really sad that Bills/Fish is not a real rivalry anymore. During the 90s and 80s it was one of the top rivalries in the NFL, along with Cowboys/Redskins and Raiders/Broncos and Bears/Packers. Everytime Miami and Buffalo played it got national attention. Many of you dont remember those days.

Since both have been pretty irrelevant lately, its easy for the younger fans to hate the teams that beat us the most. But forever, for the rest of my life, I will hate the dolphins. Even if they were playing Satan, I would root against them.

For those of us in the older generation, we could watch Satan, Hitler, Bin Laden, Hussain and tax line up against Miami, and still not be able to cheer for Miami.

  3. The older you are, usually the more you hate the Fish, and it's very deep rooted. I didn't think I could hate a team more than the Dolphins. I hate everything about them. I hate their beer vendors. But then once The Pats started winning, and Belicheat came around, and Brady became intolerable, and Spygate (even though i don't think it helped them much), and Bruschi and Harrison, my hatred for the Patriots finally, remarkably, usurped my hatred for the Fish.

Now Rex Ryan is around, along with a bunch of loud mouthed idiot Jets, and now I hate them all equally. I didn't think it was possible. Although it's fun to laugh at the jets and the fish.

Totally agree, it really seems like we have a divided group. I'm 46, big-time Fin hater. Seems like that hatred is not shared amongst our younger fans.

    Quite a tragedy, really.

  4. Just threw up in my mouth. I like your draft better. The Bills have a first rounder and a high 2nd rounder on the roster.....and 1 pass rusher. They need to further build the front 7 or else all the dbs will look like free agents, regardless of how high they are drafted.

Unless there is ridiculous value (ONLY CLAIBORNE), I think CB is a wasted pick. I haven't heard of Brockers in the top 10 lately, but Poe (too high) and Tannehill (people are desperate for QBs)...absolutely.

Good draft by the way. Not sure why 2 ILBs, but they are good players.

So sorry to hear about the vomit in your mouth.

Right now, I'd say our two biggest needs are OT and WR. Apparently, the Bills brass seemed to have similar thoughts when they pursued WRs early in FA. However, there aren't really many great options available right now.

IMO, we should look around at a good OT, and then draft a WR in the first round of the draft. Also, keep in mind WRs can usually contribute faster in the 'big leagues' than OTs, who might need a year or more to develop.

We'd really be going places if we manage to pull that off. Our CBs don't have to be great, considering the deadly pass rush we'll have.

Excuse me, I have to leave now to go get in line for individual game tickets.

  5. I would like to see us sign Bell. $5 million is quite a bargain for a young talented LT with upside. Plus that would solidify the line and allow us to be more flexible with draft and free agency, not to mention continuity. If we let Bell walk that almost guarantees first round pick will be offensive tackle

He`s starting to be a good ofensive-lineman, people are now seeing how good of a player he is. Back then he was not good. he got too many penalties, but that was when he was a rookie. Now he is a veteran OL and is improving every month. It would be a difficult choice if they are tempting to sign him.

  6. Big blockbuster trade by the redskins, now that the rams got a gew draft picks in up coming years, they can get good players so they can start building their team and making some adjustments. Now that the redskins got the second overall pick in the draft, it`s kind`ve obvious that they will pick RG3. He`s fast, strong and has great intellagance and he also has a big arm. He`s got a good RB to hand off and pass too, and has Ja`barr Gaffney and Chris Cooley to pass too.

Now the rams and the redskins might be a team watch in the fowllowing years. B-)

  7. Congrats to the Redskins, the NFC East will continue to be must-see TV. Agree that it was an awful lot to give up, but they owed their fanbase something after a year of Beck/Grossman. Congrats to the Rams too, nice haul.

Now that the redskins are 2nd in the draft, they can get a franchise QB (RG3). RG3 is a fast, strong QB, and that is what the redskins need. The redskins got Gaffney as a WR and he is a WR that RG3 will love, they also got Chris Cooley as a TE and he will be another great Blocker\receiver that RG3 will like. I say if they some more good players in the draft they will surprise a lot of teams. LIKE THE BILLS!!

  8. I actually feel bad for Ralph Wilson singing Coy Wire. He was an idiot. Why would he bring the bills defense to a bounty program. It's stupid, no one want's to be part of it. They play the way they play. If they make a nice solid hit, good for them. If they make a hard hit (not to the helmet or illegal) good. I have played foot-ball for 8 seasons now (going in my 9th) I know you can hit hard and be a nice person. If you hit someone and he sprained his foot, help him up, it's the right thing to do(unless you're Coy Wire and pay money for every illegal hit you make)

    :wallbash:

  9. The Colts are just falling in pieces. No Manning, No Wayne, No Garcon, No Saturday, No Anthony Gonzalez, No Mathis. They're even talking about trading Dwight Freeny somewhere else. This season is gonna be a total disaster. The only okay player is Donnie Brown their RB. And let's face it Andrew Luck is going to be Colt at the Draft. So Andrew and Donnie are going to be the only good players. Good LUCK Indianapolis.

To make matter's worse, Colts just cut TE Dallas Clark, RB Joseph Addai and LB Brakett. It just keeps on getting worse and worse. It's like 1quater of the FA players are from the colts.

  11. This is a really good signing. A terrific week for the Bills front office. Morrison fills a gaping hole and is a decent to solid starter or great depth if we draft an OLB high who breaks out. Really good locker room guy. He's big and can hit and is smart. Wanny probably likes him a lot and convinced him to stay. Without a guy like him we know can start, it opens up a lot more options in FA and the draft. He's just a good guy, good player, good attitude and good signing.

Yes he is. He is a veteran LB that's what the bills need. He has a lot of experience playing against tougher teams like the Colts(with Manning). He played Manning a few times when with Jax. That is a good thing. The bills have a couple of draft picks from the trade for Paus. Good thing that they have a lot of Draft picks, beacause I heard that they are a couple of good LB's in the Draft this year. If the bills play their cards right in the 1st and 2nd round, they might get some big playmakers in the draft and that could change the bills defense. Now that FA is coming soon they don't have to worry to sign any of their Free Agents, other than Bell and Corvo. NO worry's, No problems for their organization.

  12. He is a great kid, and with the new contract I have a feeling we'll get to watch him grow into a great man.

Based on that article, Im not worried about him getting "jealous" of another player's contract. He got his money, he's happy financially. Now he wants to see the team win. After what he has seen in Buffalo over the last 4 years, I'm not surprised. I think if we had a chance at someone like VJ, who could help take this team to the next level, then SJ would have no problem with the team throwing money at him. SJ got his, now it's about winning. Love it.

    Go Bills!

I think if SJ play's the way he always play's, he is going to be a big playmaker for the bills, and he will someday go to the PRO-BOWL. If VJ goes to buffalo, it will make it easier for SJ. It will be a threat to all defense's. VJ is a great WR so that is good for Fitzpatrick. An improved offense will help keep Brady(or maybe Manning) off the field...

    Go Bills Go! :D

  13. If it came down to us and the Pats, Id offer way more than the above 7/$105mil. If for no other reason than to keep him off our division rival.

good point we don't want Mario to go to Marsha's team, we want a #92 with the name ''Williams'' this season. He will be a big impact to the bills defensive-line. Also if we get Ingram in the draft, I say that the bills will have a good season. If MW goes another team, there is a lot of other defensive players that is on the market. Like John Abraham, James Farrior, La'Ron Landry, Luis Castillo and a bunch more. I hope we get MW or any other defensive all-star. SO WE WANT MARIO!

My 11 year old son's first post on Two Bills Drive.

    A touching moment....

  14. Excerpt from article on main page this morning from the Toronto Sun written by Bill Lankhof:

Quoted from WGR 550 radio interview:

    Link to Audio: http://audio.wgr550.com/a/52569585/3-1-buddy-nix-on-the-howard-simon-show.htm?q=buddy+nix+howard+simon

He completely cuts off Buddy's final statement in order to be able to write a slam piece on Buddy Nix and the Bills, what a joke.

Carey Bender, I want to thank you for sharing that information, and pointing out how careful us fans have to be when getting our info. Perhaps this is just a sign of Nix and company trying to bluff? We won't know for a while yet.

Sadly, I don't see the Bills really making much of a move. They admit LT and DE/OLB (addressing pass rush) are the priorities....but I don't see them throwing the big bucks at Mario Williams or anyone, and some of the others are just too old and beaten up. I'm not happy with the FA group this year...hoping for a good draft.

As for THE Center of the Universe....er, Toronto getting snubbed for now, let's work on that Niagra plan, and make it easier for them to get there, but keep the team on the U.S. side of the border. It's an extra few hours for people like me ( living just outside Ottawa), but the atmosphere at the tailgate parties is worth the drive.

    Thanks again, C. Bender.

  15. Yeesh, can't believe somebody made a 'white guy' comment, how sad.

Please, let's never, ever go there.

As for Wood and Bell, keep them both, but remember that Wood kept N. Suh under control all game. He's a beast. Sign Wood to a long term deal, similar to the top 3 centers in the league if need be.

Bell deserves to be paid as well, but he's not in ''the top 3 in the league'' category.

  16. travis henry started all this.

I think pretty much every year since, we've drafted a RB in the first or second round.

    Why would Ralph break tradition?

Pass rusher in the first round, then WR, DB, finish off with some O Line depth.

By the way, Merry Christmas (or whatever occasion/event you and yours may be celebrating this weekend) to all of ya.
