  1. Davis, Holmes, and Ducasse are all expendable. Holmes is the only one that has a role that would be hard to replace. Ducasse could be replaced by Groy/Miller. Davis' spot could be filled with just about any street FA. In fact Lorax would be better served moving to reserve DE when Humber comes back. Holmes is good on ST but with Benjamin and Mathews healing much faster than we all thought, let's face it Holmes is not needed.

If I'm McD I make the cuts, get the pick, and start Groy at RG.

  2. I dont think I follow. It showed zero drops, and if you think about his time here, I cant think of any either. There were some bad passes, but no drops that really stick out.

I just can't believe he isn't mentioned more in the "elite" circles when talking about receivers.

He is in the HOF. Is there an elite section of the HOF?

  3. Did you see the number of spectacuar plays the Bills made? Both Holmes cathces were spectacualr. The hit/fumble/TD was amazing. These are the plays that win NFL games. If Zay makes that catch they are 6-1. Jauaron and McD are right. It is very hard to win in the NFL. Nearly every game and nearly every team requires spectacular plays and maybe even a bit of luck. A QB with the talent of Brady, Manning, Montana, can overcome this but those are the best of the best.

To win consistently the Bills will need to continue to make a few spectacular plays each week.

This week, Shady will get deep on a wheel route and score from 50+ out. TT will have a run over 20 yards. And the Bills will get a strip sack. Even with that it will be close, and Bills win by 9.

  4. We could easily lose to the saints or chargers, or even the dolphins once. Nothing is guaranteed. Plus, you never know how injuries could change things, for the Bills or any other team.

Saints and Chargers are both teams that can beat any team, or lose to any team. Depends on what team shows up.

The Bills are a team that can beat any team too. They don't need to win out to make the playoffs. I would take losses to the Saints and Chiefs if you give me a win over the Chargers and Jets. That gets you to 7-4 and 6-2 in the AFC with head to head tie-breakers against Denver and the Chargers. Head to head loss to Bengals hurts but they are still two games back. That leaves the Colts, Phins x 2, and the Pats x 2. They likely only need to win three of those games to make the playoffs at that point. An win over the Pats at home probably makes them a lock. The Dolphins should be fully imploded by the time the Bills play them.

None of this means anything if they let down on Thursday. I said Friday, Jets game will be tougher than beating Oakland.
