  1. For those that can't help looking at mock drafts, this guy (Jason Boris) has been one of the most consistently accurate prognosticators of the actual

draft. That is still not saying much (he's , like, 44% accurate) but he became my guru once Rich Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News stopped

    giving us his predictions.

I am thrilled he has us taking Howard.

" The National Football League is prepared to announce its schedule for the 2017 regular season Thursday at 8 p.m. on NFL Network. NFL.com confirmed the release details Tuesday. The league will reveal the dates, times and television information for all 17 weeks of action during a two-hour special."

  4. I got married Sept. 10, 2005 so every anniversary lines up with opening weekend.

We usually go to Tybee Island then - it's a 20 minute ride from Savannah.

I was the only Bills fan there, but no matter, it's on the beach.

My wife and I know Tybee well. During our brief "dating days", we drove to Tampa (her mom) and Fort Myers (my parents) several times and fell in love with Tybee. One stop, we ate

at a bar and ordered the wings. I immediately knew they were "the real deal". I called out the cook and he admitted he was from Buffalo and had just returned from a visit and brought back

some Frank's hot sauce. I will look up your link. Is there any question about enough tv's to show the Bills at Ravens game?

  5. To mrags and simpleman: It is this type of discourse that continues to not let me lose hope in our country. You two disagree but you disagree without name calling , without disrespecting the

other person's position. To the discussion in hand, I agree with both your concerns: Simpleman's concern about our 4th amendment rights. I am certain no one here wants to give anyone

the right to barge into our personal space without cause. But I am sure Simpleman would agree there are grey areas and then there are more grey areas. One thing that is becoming increasingly clear these days is that being deemed as "suspicious" is indeed subjective and one's race/color/even garb impacts how one is viewed. There are no perfect solutions. My LEAN is more towards

Simpleman's concerns only because the police incursion is pre-emptive and is being implemented based on concerns/worries and not on an actual incident. Obviously, no on wants to see

something happen and then, after the fact, tell oneself "well, maybe if the police had patrolled that Lot they might have stopped it". But, one has to ask oneself, what is the more likely outcome?

Ordinary citizens being routinely harassed by authorities or the 'stopping of an imminent terrorist act'? I worry that this is a slippery slope. So, I prefer that we police ourselves. That's my 2 cents. Thanks for your post, you two. -RichNJoisy

    Robert Griffin to see neurologist

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III (concussion) has been cleared for ‘non-contact’ activity in practice, according to head coach Jay Gruden. He has no effects of a concussion but is still scheduled to see a neurologist.

TIP: Griffin appears to have recovered from the concussion he suffered in the preseason game against the Buffalo Bills Thursday, Aug. 20. Even before the injury, he was considered no better than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in deeper leagues.

..emphasis mine. Wow, the Bills defense is so powerful it even injures QB's they didn't play! I am thinking maybe it is the writer of this article who needs to have his head examined.

  8. I continue to believe that Goodell will certainly not reduce the suspension to zero. Brady's supporters continue to insist this will happen but, other than repeating

all their arguments (which only Brady supporters believe), NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

Since everyone agrees this is not simply a matter of evidence but of public opinion, the longer this goes on, the better it is for the Brady camp - I mean, who isn't fed up with this whole process? But for people like me, my certainty that cheating took place and the integrity of the game is what matters (again, TO ME), time has not made

me any less passionate that Brady be punished.

    Still, having said that,

    - as long as WE (those that believe Brady cheated) don't forget.

    - as long as WE (those that believe Brady cheated) boo him and yell, "Cheeeeeaaaaterrrr!" everytime we can

    - as long as WE (those that believe Brady cheated) bring it up at every opportunity when anything "brady" comes up at the water cooler (where ever...)

....then, the League punishment is secondary. Brady will forever be a cheater everywhere except in New England. This has made me less concerned about whatever is announced this week and how things eventually turn out in terms of the League punishment.

Brady and new England cheated and his records and their records will be forever tainted.

  9. I think the NFL will cave and lift the suspension. They don't want drama, so they'll do whatever they can to sweep it under the rug.

!@#$ it, I hope we !@#$ing smash his !@#$ing face in.

Ummm, you want drama? Lift the suspension. The Brady supporters are in the minority. Lift the suspension and the reaction will be waaaay more dramatic than not lifting it.

  10. Such a case may not be as revealing as some are hoping. The content of Brady's texts, for example, may not necessarily be admissible.

I am sure a lawyer or two can chime in to assist - for example, who is the plaintiff and who is the accused? I think Brady would be the plaintiff here which might

impact things. In any event, having Brady on the record, under oath in a federal court would be...shall we say.....interesting?
