  1. Exactly. Fun to think about but it expresses my thought on what this team needs in order to contend. We need more ELITE talent on the OL. Our lines have generally been patchwork at best. OL will continue to be a draft need every year. There is some solace in knowing certain positions will be well manned for longer than a year or two. And I agree, no return 1st this year maybe a tough consideration as part of this deal. This!! lol....thanks....funny thing is I was telling a friend the other day that I dont have dreams anymore Git err dun Tyler Wilson - Arkansas (Should be eligible 2013 for draft) I like to think that, I construe reality based balls of **** before throwing them at a wall. Even I know that loose **** doesnt stick well. But it shouldnt keep you from playing with **** though
  2. This assumes that OBD's plan is Fitz for the next 2-4yrs Trade up for Kalil: 2012 2nd 2013 1st 2013 2nd or trade Mckelvin (or both if required) Draft Decastro with this years 10th pick Draft WR/CB/LB with remaining picks in 2012 and fill any remaining gapes with FA/training camp/preseason cuts. RESULT: Quite possibly the Best O & D lines in the NFL in 2-3yrs. Best for 5-10ys. *NOTE: I would sacrifice our #1 in 2014 to recover a 1st selection in 2013 to snag a QB. (Like Wilson. He should be the starter in 2014. Our O & D lines will turn 3yrs old that season and should be a welled oiled machine. I cannot imagine a more perfect scenario to then start your franchise QB!! THIWR (Thats How I Would Roll) <Take cover>
  3. First thing I thought of after seeing a trade F-Jax thread. Trade1: F-Jax to Cleveland for their 4th overall pick Trade2: Trade 4 and 10 to MINN for Kalil Would you do? Huge Fred fan but would make this trade in a sec
  4. Even if we draft one next year (4-12 or worse) theres still a year of development necassary. Heres a link to all current QB's. Minus the obviously taken. Get familar with these names folks bcause I think we have to strongly consider making them a candidate for future FQB. Here are my "Just Sayin" picks: Bomar, Rhett (Im a Fan) Clausen, Jimmy (This scenario would be hilarious but the again, so is the vision of a Franchise QB) Crompton, Jonathan Chase Daniel (Very impressive college rez) Dennis Dixon Caleb Hanie Harrell, Graham (I love me a Gunslinger) Hoyer, Brian (Dare I say another high draft pick to the Pats!) Johnson, Josh (One of my top 3) Kafka, Mike Kolb, Kevin (Top choice) Dan LeFevour Moore, Matt Kevin O'Connell Curtis Painter Pike, Tony Quinn, Brady Zac Robinson John Skelton John Parker Wilson Why wait?? It'll be 2 years before a FQB will start. And thats if we get one next year. Which presumes a 4-12 or worse season. I see no other choice....The unemployment line is no place to start looking for a FQB. I have to believe with us passing on Mallet so harsh, that we have to be a player in the Kolb QB sweepstakes. Either this or I def have to brush up on my Levi Brown game film. Link to QB List
  5. Gallery's Restricted but wants out of Oakland. I would not hate spending all the FA $$$$ on O-Lineman!! I think Gallery, Mankins, Light would all be perfect fits. Possibly Free if not franchised!! But Gallery tops my list!! Fitz deserves the best protection money can buy!! Plus we just used all of our picks on Defense. Were's the O-Love?? More specifically, O-Line love. Thats our only O-Line need. Two solid acquisitions here and we are playoff bound! Free agent offensive tackles Khalif Barnes, 28, Oakland Alex Barron, 28, Dallas D’Anthony Batiste, 28, Arizona Jordan Black, 31, Jacksonville Jammal Brown, 29, Washington Jermon Bushrod, 26, New Orleans Rashad Butler, 28, Houston Tyson Clabo, 29, Atlanta Jeromey Clary, 27, San Diego Willie Colon, 27, Pittsburgh* Ryan Cook, 27, Minnesota Renardo Foster, 26, St. Louis* Doug Free, 27, Dallas Jared Gaither, 24, Baltimore Adam Goldberg, 30, St. Louis Ryan Harris, 25, Denver Mario Henderson, 26, Oakland Stephon Heyer, 27, Washington Corey Hilliard, 25, Detroit* Tony Hills, 26, Pittsburgh* Wayne Hunter, 29, N.Y. 6. Im not thrilled with the pick....but the Patriots passed on everyone available too for a Cornerback. Just saying....makes me feel a tad bit bettr....plus i just watched sum tape of this new cat...and he looks pretty nice.....I would of gambled on Bowers....maybe they still will....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  7. Yall and Me's are in agreements...If no 1st rd picks then its Bowers for me.
  8. Everything I have just read says his knee is fine. And with all the Hybrid Defense talk, he's a No Brainer pick here. Starting my Vigil now! Hmmmmmmmmmmm.........
  9. Boomer asked BB if he was getting any calls to trade down. BB replied that he has gotten a bunch of calls and there (very casually) seems to be a QB derby (frenzy...something like that) going on. Sounds like a bunch of teams looking to trade up for a QB. Buffalo has to have fielded these same calls. With that being said....Can I get a side of Bowers with my Dareus!! Bam!! What!! Best draft evaaaaaa!!
  10. Evening All!! Cant wait to see this thread go nuclear in an hour!! I-Tee @ 3!! <Carolina is annoying the f#$k outta me!> <Dareus at 3...is not a horrible consolation prize> <Trade back up....grab Farve Lite (Locker)>
  11. Counselor Bag, your up for Cross Examination...lol......psst Papaziod.....My Rebuttal in red....I would think the next most logical step, since we have opposing opinions, is to check out the sources, of these opinions. Andddddd its ugly.....lol.....lets just say its like Slash in Real Life...VS...You playing Rock Band in the garage!!...lmao....your guys a hack....my dudes an industry super hero...haaaa....im gonna stick with my article...peace outside!!! Your Guy: LINK2URGUY "Not long after making his first and final tackle for the Illini in the old millennium, the former safety turned linebacker figured out his weight-room numbers were not going to transfer to the field and put his master’s degree to use by walking on at Pro Football Weekly" LMAO to red!!! My Guy: LINK(BIO on the upper right) "DAVE HYDE finished second in 2009 in voting for the nation’s top sports columnists by the Associated Press Sports Editors. It was the third time in four years he has finished second in the country in APSE voting for either column or sports feature writing. He has placed 13 times in the Top 10 of APSE writing categories in his career, including a first for investigative work. His writing has been featured in the “Best American Sports Writing” anthology and he has authored “Still Perfect: The Untold Story of the 1972 Miami Dolphins” and "1968: The Year That Saved Ohio State Football.” Sounded like the care and feeding of little Cam Cam went very well!!! (Think Flintstones...ha) Git "IT"

  13. LMAO!!! My exact thought after reading his above post. JB!!! Dude...you were one of the harshest dudes at the onset of all this....lol....Some one should tell Al Gore, Global Warming is also occurring in humans!! Haa...JB!!! Git "IT"
  14. It really bores me to have to respond to this as I suspect another hit and run poster who hasnt seen any Gabbert game tape. May i make a subtle suggestion?? I would suggest that you and any other of the Gabbert fangirls, to read this: GABERT BREAKDOWN then watch this for starters: Missouri vs Illinios Now....when viewing the game, dont look but watch....and when watching, look for this: "As a runner, he has speed but he is not elusive or quick footed. He seldom makes a defender miss in the open field. What he isn’t able to do is keep a play alive with his feet. As I said above, he retreats and then just runs often throwing the ball just before he steps out of bounds." and this: "I have also seen a player who can be indecisive when making decisions, strictly looks at just one half of the field and gets flustered when pressured." and PLEASE pay special attention to this one: "I never saw him take a snap from under center. Many of his throws are determined pre snap and when one of those receivers isn’t open he hesitates. You almost never see him look to the other side of the field. In four games, I don’t think I saw him read more than half the field on 10 plays. The thing he consistently does when his predetermined reads are covered is RETREAT. You almost never see him step up and try and find an open man. Though he has great speed, he is not real quick footed and shows just average ability to avoid the rush." That should be enough to get you started. When your finished, come back and we can have a fun conversation that will also include names like Trent Edwards, JP Losman and Rob Johnson! I'll even go one further and give you my opener for the conversation: "You seriously what to see this again?????" And dont hurt yourself, its really as simple as this: Cam - Attacks Fitz - Attacks Gabbert - Retreats Now chose your QB? I love the h3ll outta Fitz, dude is the definition of True Grit!! But Cam is a once in a lifetime player!! My only fear, is that Carolina see's this to. Wanted: Someone to fix the brakes on a car called Carolina!! lol Git "IT" ODB!! I apologize in advance if I posted to much from my linked article. I could of went much further but I'd prefer people to visit the actual link.
  15. My worst nitemare and the usual Buffalo luck: Link "Rivera raised more than a few eyebrows with his effusive praise of Newton at the combine, comparing his size and strength to successful QBs such as Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco. Tuesday, he'll get a first-hand look at Newton again, as the Panthers consider what to do with the first choice in the draft." Fkn Carolina....Has to be our luck that they draft TWO QB's last year and are still considering drafting another this year??? Un4real.... I DONT WANT GABBERT!!!! MALLETTS an obvious street punk pot head....have you listened to this dude talk....this is not a leader of men....nuff said.....Ponder, down to his looks, is spot on Trent Edwards....garbage..... and I think Levi Brown is substitutable for either Locker or Kapernick. So as far as I am concerned, no Cam, no QB. Trade down, because no one left is worth 50 mil at the number 3 spot. Grab defense, make second OL and lets prepare for Luck next season. Fkn Carolina !!!
  16. We all choose how we spend our tyme, like say me for instance, I would rather spend it reading this Link than reading what you linked. Which was a POS, lazy, "just collecting a paycheck", drive-by, non-researched, Notepad, rant. Probably submitted via Blackberry as he waited in traffic. It amounts to nothing more than a hatchet job. What confirms this for me, is this little Felser doozy "The flaw I find most disturbing is that he has a poor work ethic." and then procedes to follow it up with no facts or examples of this "poor work ethic"?? C'mon Son!! There are better ways to spend your time and may I suggest the article I linked. And just in case this poorly constructed, literary arrow caused you some pain, here is truly researched, excerpt from the above linked article, concerning his "work ethic": "This is one of the biggest questions surrounding Newton – how hard does he work? Well, all we see is effusive praise for his ability to knuckle down and do what it takes to be the best." "he would spend all of his free time working out and watching tape" "Newton arranged every weekend of the summer for his offense to work out for hours each day honing routes, increasing fitness, repping plays again and again so that the timing was down" "coaches raved about the way that Newton spent time with his receivers, helping them to learn to adjust their routes when a blitz is coming, teaching them to recognize hot routes when they see certain coverage’s and helping them learn the audibles" "Newton was one of the first in and last to leave the weight and film rooms and was constantly trying to learn to become better" "Newton also talked at length about how meticulous he plans for each game watching not only film of opponents, but also of himself and of NFL and college passers he admires such as Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Andrew Luck:" THIS IS MY FAV PART!!! "But perhaps the most interesting comment on his work ethic comes from his LT Lee Ziemba who said that during winter workouts Newton so impressed his offensive teammates in the weight room that they named him – a QB - to a five-man tug-of-war team to take on the defense. The offense won. Ziemba went on to say that: “Players put a great deal of stock in how hard a teammate works when there's no coach forcing him to do it. But Cam was out there in the rain, throwing passes on the weekend when we were at the lake. He was dragging receivers out there with him. That kind of work ethic prepared our guys to follow him." Nuff said!! LMFAO @ Felser Git "IT"
  17. Been busy but was able to take in Cam's combine workout. It was ehh. He looked as disinterested as I did in watching the whole event. Let's be honest, that wasnt a sporting event, that was a television event. Most see it as Cam didnt perform in a SPORTING event. Atleast be aware and recognize it for what it was, a TELEVISION event. I see it as, since im gifted with the use of the other half of my brain...that maybe this kid's light only turns on when its gametyme....not in some faux exibition. I cant imagine being a sucessful GM in this league if u dry hump every Combine super hero. Personally, I could care less about Auburn's pro day...I have already seen the light!! And this light I speak of...is his game tapes. Every thing you need to know is on those tapes. Its really that simple and I cant help anyone if they think otherwise.Hmmmm faux event or real life winning a college championship....hmmmm....yea..nothin changes for me. I-Tee at #3...Owwww...it has such a nice ring to it!! Say it with me I-Tee @ 3!! I-Tee @ 3!! Nice article with some depth in their comparsion of Cam to Rothleisberger. Take notice of the highlighted text... Link "Roethlisberger struggled to read defenses early in his NFL career, a concern for Newton after two seasons as a college starter, including only one at the NCAA Division I level." Git "IT" OBD
  18. I am rather enjoying the turn around in public perception. Not so long ago he wasn't worth a top ten pick, now he's going first overall, and god forbid if we would of taken him at #3. Ahhhhhh.....Do you feel that?? Like a warm, sea breeze on the back of your neck!! Das Cam....December is gonna feel like a day at the beach!! I deserve a vacation damm!t!!
  19. Updated Mel Kiper Mock is out....v2.0....Has I-Tee going 3rd now to da Buff!!! Link "In Buffalo, what you have is an ideal foundation for his career. The Bills can keep Ryan Fitzpatrick around and develop Newton at a slower pace." This is starting to get good!! Git "IT" OBD!!
  20. So is this on top of or besides the myriad of updates and links...I have also been posting? Just trying to be a good board bruthr my man...keeepin the fellow Cam fans on the low up when I get a minute...GUILTY!!! lol....You got me man...Im in it to win it!! Going for that year float float dawg. Who told you?? Was i P-Diddy? Willy? Prolly sesna....ow def sesna now that I think of it....gossip girl with those gossip girl lips....Ha...You'd have lips like that to if you were passed around like a pack of smokes in prison. lol. (sorry sez...couldnt resist...lol...SHOUT OUT!) Otherwise, I figured a nice central location for everything Cam..could mitigate any further clustering of the forum! Dam...went buzz word on ya. Ha. Just doing my part man and I appreciate you doing yours (I think you've contributed 6+ posts). We really do appreciate all the support as this is an election year and we are working really hard to get our candidate elected. Ha. Did you get your laugh? lol I did! Sorry...Im back. So yea...did you read the article? Thoughts? Anything presumably besides he still sucks! And to Team Newton....Happy belated Valentines! If everyone took time out of their day to, with their hands, fashion a heart and give it to someone. This world would be a much better place! (lol!!)
  21. Possibly the most indepth, thorough article on Cam Newton available. Everything you could possibly want to know, is here. And in depth! Great read and a must read for Cam fans or fence sitters. Git "IT"! Link "At Blinn, coaches raved about the way that Newton spent time with his receivers, helping them to learn to adjust their routes when a blitz is coming, teaching them to recognize hot routes when they see certain coverage’s and helping them learn the audibles. During his year with Auburn, I’ve been told that Newton was one of the first in and last to leave the weight and film rooms and was constantly trying to learn to become better. That shows on field as his game by game improvement was spectacular. Newton also talked at length about how meticulous he plans for each game watching not only film of opponents, but also of himself and of NFL and college passers he admires such as Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Andrew Luck: “I search other quarterbacks for clues, for pieces I can make my own. If I feel there's a trait that I don't have in my game, I'm going to try to take it from another quarterback that I saw and apply it to me.” But perhaps the most interesting comment on his work ethic comes from his LT Lee Ziemba who said that during winter workouts Newton so impressed his offensive teammates in the weight room that they named him – a QB - to a five-man tug-of-war team to take on the defense. The offense won. Ziemba went on to say that: “Players put a great deal of stock in how hard a teammate works when there's no coach forcing him to do it. But Cam was out there in the rain, throwing passes on the weekend when we were at the lake. He was dragging receivers out there with him. That kind of work ethic prepared our guys to follow him." Wow!! Speechless. We have to git this guy!! Dude's gonna be a stadium filla...Cam "No MO Blackouts" Newton. Get those season tix's locked in...Im seeing waiting lists folks.
