It was a fun ride. Flacco has always been kind of a surly disagreeable guy, at least publicly, but he seemed to actually be enjoying this last waltz, at least in a Joe Flacco kind of way. A nice ending. Now know when to walk away for good.

He could literally translate his success this season into yet another kick at the can next year. He was better off the couch than a few of the starting Qbs this season!

  2. Clock struck Twelve on Flaco today. He made some nice throws but the INTs and zero escapability were the epitaph for his season (and maybe his career). Stroud looked really impressive and Singletary was solid . Still I'm shocked that Texans were able to make Jim Schwartz look silly.

Can't move it to Detroit, Rams vs Lions there on Sunday night.  When it  comes to distance, Detroit Cleveland and maybe Toronto (if still up to NFL standard) only fields within reasonable load-up-the-trucks-and-go distance.

They could still move it for Monday night to Detroit. If it stays in Buffalo the snow stops by Monday but they could still have 2 feet on the field and in the stands on Monday and apparently the temperatures Monday are deep freeze 5F!!

I would have much less of an issue with Toronto.

EDIT: I just hate moving this to an AFCN stadium to play an AFCN team.

The skydome is currently being renovated so that's a non starter but I never want to see the Bills play there again. Horrible memories!

  5. The forecast is getting more biblical by the hour. I really hope the NFL thinks this one through and doesn't risk the lives of fans getting to the stadium if the conditions are going to be dangerous. Move it to Monday or to another location like Detroit. Also the quality of football if this storm is as bad they say will be horrendous.

  6. This is another odd rule in a league that is Byzantine already (if you would like a colourful adjective). I also found out on the Sunday that refs can check replay to confirm/rescind penalties but only for the ALL IMPORTANT, illegal man downfield penalty and apparently not for Targeting (like the vicious helmet to helmet hit on Johnson on the goal line right before half time that resulted in a CONCUSSION and 1st and goal for the Bills with a clock stoppage. Or the ridiculous Pass interference on Knox the play before the INT in the endzone. The NFL rules committee and their officials are the worst in sports .

So in fairness to Miller, did anyone on the DL make an impact last night?

The top 6 tacklers were all back 7 guys

Jones is the only DL with more than one tackle credit.

Dodson got credit for a sack but I really don't recall it.

I am not sure any DL even got close to Tua

I think Dodson got credited for a sack but it wasnt on Tua, it was on the Running back who was going to throw it but nobody was open.

  8. I have no problem going for it on the 4th down and no problem with the sneak. I also think that Josh may have got the first down on that play and for the millionth time I am wondering aloud why the NFL:

    a) Has no chip in the ball to do an accurate spot.

    or

    b)  a guaranteed fully overhead camera shot to show a better view. Sometimes this is available, other times it isnt.

For a Billion $ league to continue to use 1950's guessing instead of accurate updated technology for these types of plays, when other sports like tennis have the tech is just idiotic.
