  1. Can you troll another team's message board please? Or try BuffaloBills.com

    Very true. And for the record, there is nothing wrong with being optimistic about the chances of the sporting team that you root for. Not sure why so many get their rock off showing how they are "realists" and constantly predicting doom and gloom.

    The "realists" do it because, given the way the Bills have been playing in recent years, they are right more often than they are wrong and that makes them feel good.

    When the Bills start to win consistently again, their dire predictions will be correct far less often, and many of them will "flip" to superfans or just disappear.

  2. Amen, brother. 50 years with the Bills here. Watched the game in Central VA with my boys (12, 10, 8) and a table of college-aged fans. You could hear the tone of their comments get Bills-y as the momentum swung in the 3rd. All those kids will probably see a Bills SB win. I might be running out of time! But...it's the hope that makes me a fan and keeps me coming back year after year. My hometown, my team. GO BILLS!!

  3. You have some good points. I don't know that there is one answer. My biggest criticism for him thus far this season was that he doesn't throw his receivers open. So to me, saying he has only a few options isn't an excuse for holding onto the ball

    Is the problem with Taylor not throwing receivers open or the receivers not having the skill set to get to/take the ball?

  4. I see upset vs. SEA or OAK. Loss to PIT. Wins vs. the rest and we end 10-6. I think that O goes up-tempo dink-and-dunk and you see heavy rotation w Shady/Gilleslee or two-back sets. D is going to be scary good as Dareus and Lawson settle in. Prefer W vs OAK to prop up that AFC record for the tie-breaker.

  5. Seriously? We are that desperate for receivers? Well another season down the tubes....

    Actually, we *are* that desperate for receivers.

    Well, the Billspolar people are out in full force. :lol:

    :lol: When we come out of the Cinci game at 6-4, the same group is going to be :worthy: about Harvin and Rex and Whaley.

  6. I can't stand Cam but he is getting destroyed and not getting the same treatment that Brady, Brees, etc get. He has a valid point.

    I still hate the dude.

    ^^^This. He's not complaining about getting hit. He's complaining about taking hits and not getting the calls other QBs are getting.

  7. Ryan's season won't be defined by the 4-game win streak after 2-0. It'll be defined by what comes next. 5-4 going into the bye (Bills D backfield stops with the intrasquad slap fights and does its job while the O wins ugly) and then a run to the playoffs like we haven't seen in a very long time.

  8. I don't know who this guy is, but someone ought to send him a gift card to Duff's or something.

    "Bills become first team to sweep Pats in Brady era

    Dynasties don't die slow deaths; they crumble quickly at the hands of a hated foe. Call me an optimist, but Buffalo's second 2016 win over the Patriots this Sunday will be the beginning of the end for Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. Forget the quarterback's stats since returning from suspension -- 1,004 yards, no picks in three games. Forget that New England hasn't been swept by a divisional opponent since 2001. Rex Ryan historically gives New England fits; he led the Jets to two wins in three games over the Pats in 2010. Of course, he also provides laughers; the one loss that year was a 45-3 beating in prime time (and oh, the Butt Fumble Game). We're never sure which Rex team will show up when he faces off against Belichick, his white whale, but after his Bills squad soundly beat a competitive Pats team in Foxborough, albeit sans Brady, Rex should be smelling blood. Anchored by a laser-focused performance from Ryan's overachieving linebacking corps, Buffalo contains LeGarrette Blount, jams the tight-end duo and holds Brady to a season-low completion percentage in an 18-15 victory. Down with tyrants! Viva Bills Mafia!

  9. According to NFL network, Incognito and Felton do not believe it is serious. They also reported that the general feeling on the team is that they are not concerned.

    This may be the hallmark of a team that has a laser-like focus on the next game. Theory #1: They are not concerned because McCoy told them he'd be alright. Theory #2: They are not concerned because they believe in the scheme and will open holes for anyone in the backfield. I hope that #1 is correct, but if they're adopting BB's "next man up" approach, then we'll be okay Sunday.

  10. The other thing people are missing is the number of penalties by this team especially the dumb ones. We have reduced it significantly. That is good progress.

    From www.nflpenalties.com, through six games:

    2015: 62 penalties, 583 yards

    2016: 43 penalties, 414 yards

    Can the businesslike attitude of a head coach can filter down to a reduction in on-field penalties? Maybe.

    What does Sourpuss say about this?

    @BuffaloWins

    In Tyrod's 2 starts against Miami (2-0), he played well. 32 of 41 for 458 yards,56 yards rushing, 4TDs, and zero INTs.

    I'm going with this ^^^

    @Gil_Brandt

    The Bills now have had 4-game winning streaks in 7 of the last 8 presidential election years. Only year they didn't: 2012

    Somewhat-related stat you didn't think about: Did you see Mr. Sunshine's (aka Jerry Sullivan) tweet?

    A note of caution: The last four times the Bills traveled to Miami with a winning record, they lost. That covers the entire 16-year drought.

  13. The Steelers have been winning with offense for a couple of years now. Their historically great D is no more. They have some good players but not enough to dominate. Unless injuries or bad officiating happen, the Bills should do much better against the fish.

    A question for the experts on the board: Last season, when the Bills were racking up double-digit quantities of penalties for 100+ yards per game, the narrative in some places was that officials would be on the lookout for Ryan and his chaotic team and that they would call games a lot more tightly due to a negative reputation. With Rex's "lower-key" approach and the Bills getting called less frequently (relatively speaking), will officials tend to give the Bills the benefit of the doubt on close calls?
