Put in a related plug for a food plan a lot of crossfitters follow: Paleo. The gist is that you eat what hunter gatherers ate, since that's what we're evolved to eat. No grains. No legumes. No plain sugars. No dairy. Meat, veggies, fruit (in season), fish, etc. You can google paleo and get a lot of hits. Several books have the science to back it up. I read the Robb Wolf book, Paleo Solution.

You just have to look at it as a an age old currency that is accepted globally. It's pretty much as simple as that.
You and I talked about this before. You enjoyed busting my balls about saying GLD is worth nothing per se. As I said then, I've been in and out of GLD at times. Last sold out in the 138 range earlier this year (yes, my ass hurts from kicking myself but whatever). I use it to make money, but it continues to baffle me how this purely psychological device inspires so much confidence. I still trade in the metals and miners a lot. Just bought some HL today.

Why would you even ask that? Have you been paying attention the last few months? Obvioulsy he has been. That does not mean the S&P organization is not corrupt, wrong or knows how to do math.
The S&P said "Your financial house is not in order, mostly due to the way you just handled the debt ceiling and due to uncertainty about how you're going to cut spending."
Obama said, "You guys at the S&P are jerks."
Whether he's right or wrong, don't you think Obama looks like is a petulent child by getting bogged down in that instead of putting on his big boy pants and saying, "The S&P's downgrade is a warning that we need to get to work on this problem of partisan asshattery. Let's get to work on fixing that, starting with coming up with a plan to enact the promised spending cuts."
Too much to ask of Obama or you to take the high road, I know.

Does this sort of irresponsible journalism advance much needed dialogue between the two parties? What it does is fuels the crazy base, and hardens their positions making it nearly impossible for any real compromise. The same can be said for Hannity and Limbaugh, but this is just one clear example of the challenges we face today, because unfortunately loons like Krugman motivate the base and help deliver the talking points.
Between stuff like this and Obama running around trying to discredit S&P instead of actually fixing the problem, the Dem couldn't get it less.
At least some Republicans are saying the right things.
(Though no party seems to be in a rush to form the committees to come up with the 2.3T in cuts, which of course is what the markets would really like to see to get some certainty in where the cuts will come from.)

This should come as no surprise, the Bills are trying to trade Maybin. Thanks Dickie J for drafting a bust at #11, instead of drafting an impact player (like Orakpo)that would have been on the team for many of years. Instead, the Bills will either get a late round pick (5th thru 7th, with 5th being generous) or will cut Maybin if there are no suitors. What a waste of another top draft pick (not that we didn't know this already).
A 7th is generous. Maybin will be cut if he leaves, not traded.

The whole thing here is that I don't bring up these types of threads much. That was the point. Peace got on me for bringing it up while he got on Dave not because what he was bringing up was out of place or wrong. He claimed Dave was a racist because of the sheer volume of race related posts.
First genius, I was quite late to the Dave is a racist party. Second, I have yet to get "on you" for posting this thread. I just asked if Dave emailed it to you...because you said you were posting it in honor of well, Dave...and the story is about Wisconsin...and Dave is WisconsinBillsfan who had the same gimmick posting that Dave had. So it's a fair question.
Then you admitted it was a baiting thread, and as yet, no one has taken the race bait. But because I called you an idiot, you decided I was some sort of antiwhite racist, when in fact I'm an idiotist, and yes, I care more about calling you an idiot than this thread. What does it take to get through your thick skull? You care more about protesting that I posted something about race than you do about the fact that a bunch of people attacked another bunch of people. You showed your true colors. I got the same reaction from you as you would have given Dave. All this posturing about his sheer volume of posts having to do with race making him a racist is bs. But it's not the sheer volume of his posts regarding black and white relationships that gets him criticized. I got crap from you and I rarely post anything about race.
